Chapter 14: Unification Heaven

"Your speculations were wrong, old man. If I am with them and our plan is as you said, then it would be better for them to use a cultivator to save Lian and gain your trust instead of me. That way it would not raise any suspicions from you." Azrael calmly pointed out flaws in Dillon's speculations.

Dillon pondered the things that Azrael had pointed out. He snorted and said, "I still can't trust you."

"I won't force you. In any case, I don't have any ill intentions towards Lian or you guys. Meeting her in that forest is just pure coincidence." Azrael said.

"**cough** **cough** Let's eat," Maxwell interjected. He feels that he needs to clear this intense atmosphere in the surroundings.

Maxwell sighed in relief when he mulled over and thought that what Azrael said made sense.

"Sorry for earlier." Lian apologized.

After they ate, Lian insisted on seeing Azrael off. Her original plan was only to see him off however before she knew it she already followed him.

"It's okay. Your grandpa only thinks for your safety. He just treasures you dearly." Azrael said.

"I know that, but... sigh." She didn't finish her sentence and could only sigh.

Azrael chuckled seeing her complicated expression.

"Go now, if you stay any longer, your grandpa will worry about you again."

"Un." Lian nodded then left.

After Lian left, Azrael looked in a certain direction, he smiled provokingly then he entered his newly gifted house.

At a certain place, Dillon's face twitched as he sensed Azrael looking at him while smiling provokingly. He frowned, "He knew I'm inspecting him from afar? But how? He does not have any cultivation."

At this moment, Dillon felt that Azrael was covered in mysteries and he's unfathomable. He shook his head and threw these thoughts behind his mind. He turned his body and left.

Inside his house, Azrael is currently sitting in a cross-legged position.

It's time to cultivate!

Unification Heaven, the technique that Azrael created in the dream world. A supreme technique that surpasses all techniques that exist.

However, as the old man said, the technique that Azrael created, the Unification Heaven, couldn't be categorized as a technique anymore. Why? Because it uses its own cultivation system instead of the one. that existed in this universe! Azrael basically created his cultivation system.

Instead of calling it technique, it's more appropriate to call it the foundation of the new cultivation system! To cultivate a different cultivation system instead of one that already exists proves how heaven-defying Unification Heaven is.

Since it uses an entirely new cultivation system, it is natural for it to have different steps and stages than the ones used by the inhabitants of this world.

The cultivation stages in this world are: Body Tempering, Qi Refining, Qi Liquification, Qi Core, Profound Sovereign, Heaven Sovereign, and Spirit Sovereign are under the Mortal step. Each stage in the Mortal step is divided into 9 levels.

Body Tempering stage, a stage where the mortal body is being tempered as preparation for cultivation. Before one could step cultivation, one will need to prepare the physical body.

Qi refining stage, a stage where one would fully step in cultivation. In this step, he or she will be able to absorb and refine Qi energy from the surrounding.

Qi liquification stage, a stage where one will liquefy the Qi energy inside him or her. 

Qi core stage, a stage where one will form his or her core as storage of all Qi inside the body. And once the core was formed, the Qi will automatically liquefy the everytime he or she absorbs Qi.

The last three stages in the Mortal step are the Profound Sovereign, Heaven Sovereign, and Spirit Sovereign stage are known as the Three Sovereign stages.

To reach this stage one cannot rely solely on absorbing and transforming the Qi. Because these last stages are not about transformation in energy but transformation of knowledge! One will need to sense the profoundness of the world to step at the Profound Sovereign stage. And if one wants to step another stage, the cultivator needs to deepen his or her comprehension.

These are the different stages under the Mortal step in this universe.

On the other hand, the stages in Unification Heaven are quite different.

Azrael called the first step Trinity Foundation step. In this step one would build his or her foundation in three different categories; these are the body, the Qi and the soul. By cultivating these three, one will have a solid foundation.

First the body major realm, unlike the established cultivation system that stops the cultivation system that stops at the body tempering when cultivating the body, in his own cultivation system, he expands it into three stages. These are Muscle Tempering, Blood refining, and lastly, Bone Forging.

Muscle tempering stage, as the name suggests, one will need to temper the muscle.

Blood refining, one will refine the blood, once the blood is refined. He or she will be able to use a type of energy that hides inside the mortal's body. Azrael calls it Essence energy.

Bone Forging, the stage where one will forge his bones. In this stage, the Essence energy will seep inside one's bone.

The second part is the Qi major realm, just like the established cultivation he included Qi cultivation in his cultivation system.

In this realm, one will start to absorb Qi energy. Just like the body major realm, it is divided into three stages. These stages are Qi refining, Qi Liquification and lastly, Qi Cyclone.

The Qi major realm, same as the early stages of the established cultivation system. The only difference is instead of forming a Qi core, one will form a Qi cyclone in Unification Heaven.

The last major realm in the first step is called the Soul major realm. Just like the other two, it is divided into three stages; these stages are Soul Tempering, Soul Transformation and lastly, Soul Extremity.

Soul Tempering stage, in this stage one will start tempering his or her soul.

Soul Transformation stage, in this stage one will start the transformation of his or her soul. Once one step in this stage he or she would be able to use yet another type of energy, the soul energy. 

The last stage is called the Soul Extremity stage, as the name suggests, one's soul will reach an extreme state.

Cultivating and tempering the soul will help improve one's comprehension. He or she will be able to sense the profoundness of the world because of his or her improved comprehension.

This covers up the first step of the cultivation system that Azrael created.

When Azrael reached the peak of all great daos inside the dream world, he sensed something was off, and he couldn't shake this feeling off. And he tried to divine it and was shocked by not what he saw but what he realized. Then he decided to create the Unification Heaven that cultivates his own cultivation system as preparation if something happens.

And when he woke up, the old man mentioned the 'calamity', this further confirmed what he felt and realized inside the dream world was real and not just an illusion.

He already realized the truth about this 'calamity' but he still needs evidence. However, he hopes he is wrong because if this  turns out correct, then this cosmos is in grave danger.

He looked in the void as if wanting to pierce through everything.

"In any case, all I need to do is cultivate the Unification Heaven to its peak. It's time to surpass the old me." he smiled confidently.
