Freya got out of the car to see the man carrying some fruit along with a bottle of tonic for the elderly.

Freya was caught by surprise and felt touched. The dimple on her left cheek was visible as she smiled. “Did you get all this?”

Gideon noticed Freya smiling sincerely. She looked harmless and guileless. He did not know what came over him when he decided to take a second look at her.

The man said nothing and looked away, but he no longer attempted to pull his arm away from her.

Freya felt relieved and grateful that he did not retaliate.

Just as Freya was about to bring Gideon to see her grandmother, the last person she wanted to see suddenly walked over.

It was Freya’s grandmother’s nurse, Rebecca Bailey.
