“Ssszzz! It’s a bit cold.” Shivering from the sudden drop in temp, he spent a good minute just sitting there to allow his body to adapt. “You’re not going to join?”
Boink stood at the edge of the bin due to the hesitation: “Forget it, I don’t want to share a bath with another guy.”
“Hey, you’re just a boink. How dare you look down at me. Take this!” Grinning from ear to ear, Dawn formed a cup with his hands and quickly splashed the hamster with a swing of the flowing tap water.
“EEEEEeee~!” Faced with the cold water, Boink scurried away with his paws over his head. He’s in a panic to flee and doesn’t want to get wet.
Laughing like a maniac at his own mischievous deed: “What? Fun, right?”
“That’s dirty! Sneak attack! I’ll help you bath!” Jumping right over to the running water, Boink soaks himself up like a sponge and then starts to shake in front of the guy’s face.
Before the human could even react, the water droplets had already rained down like a spray bottle.
“Now we’re even.” Boink nodded with satisfaction at his own success.
Wiping the water from his face using a free hand, Dawn grins like a dumb kid: “Alright, let’s stop here before we work up a sweat. If you don’t want to wash in the water bin then go take a shower under the faucet. It will at least flush away the grime from your fur.”
….
A while later, Dawn and Boink had finished their “shower” and came down from the roof. However, the ladies inside the bathroom weren’t so quick based on the light shining through the tinted doors of the bathroom.

Thinking he shouldn’t stand around less he be suspected of peeping, Dawn was ready to move ahead when the door abruptly swung open, thus catching him by great surprise! As any young guy might imagine, these situations usually turn out very awkward and steamy, but instead, it’s a wet black cat jumping out from the side and scaring him silly. Even worse, that’s not the end of it. Right in mid-jump, several red tentacle-like things shot out from the floorboard and entangled Shadow in the weirdest position, pulling her back inside before even a “meow”!
Just like that, the tinted glass door to the bathroom became shut again, leaving only the clueless-looking Dawn and Boink in the hallway appearing dumbfounded.
“Hey Hey! Are you all right?!” Dawn urgently knocks on the door. He’s afraid the strange tentacles might do something unforgivable to the ladies inside.
Instead of a reply, only the sound of bottles toppling over came from inside. It’s a whole festival of chicken and dogs having a party.
“It’s okay, no problem! Landlord, you don’t need to worry about anything…. By the way, I will pay for anything that’s broken, like these floor tiles!” Patty eventually answered after another loud crack.
“The floor tiles aren’t the problem! What exactly are you two doing inside?” Dawn asks quickly with a lot of worry apparent in his voice, “What about Shadow? Is she okay?”
To answer his question, a few muffled cat cry came from the bathroom as if she was pleading for help.
“I’m just helping her take a bath. We’ll be out in a bit so don’t worry about anything.”
???
When did taking baths become like this?
Both Dawn and Boink shared a puzzled look between themselves as they stood outside the door. Fortunately the next words that came out resolved any worry they had.
“Landlord… I’m fine,” Shadow says reassuringly.
“… Okay, you two go lightly then.” With a sigh, Dawn returned to the living room with the hamster on his shoulder. Despite having a stomach full of questions, he’s decided not to pry until they’re actually outside. It’s just too awkward to stand outide the bathroom.
