After Himeko brought Kouro, Kiana, and Mei to Hyperion, a little girl suddenly appeared claiming to be Kouro and Mei's friend, the little girl identified herself as Bronya.

Worried about Kouro's bleeding wounds, Himeko didn't inquire further and only after confirming that Bronya was really Mei and Kouro's friend from Mei herself, she was allowed to ride the Hyperion as a survivor.

Kiana is also woken up from her unconsciousness, and after resting for a while, she recovered with no sequelae.

__

45 minutes later, inside the St. Freya Academy's infirmary.

A medical staff wearing a white coat reported to Himeko that was with Kiana, Mei, and Bronya about Kouro's condition.

"The patient's current condition is very complicated. He was believed to have experienced several intense physical activities which is enough to make an ordinary person, with normal physical strength, paralyzed in bed, yet the patient is still capable of moving freely, even against Honkai Beasts and Zombies."

The medical staff stated before pausing, Himeko and the others thought that Kouro's diagnosis report was over, the Himeko asked in confusion.

"Then why was he bleeding?"

"Because what I just revealed was the lightest injury he has sustained."

"What!?" Himeko and the others yelled in unison.

"The bleeding was caused by some of kind of sharp projectile, probably a rock made or thrown by a Honkai Beast when it hit the ground. He should have been able to dodge an attack of this level, but before that, he has already suffered from more than ten hours of relentless battles and is physically and mentally exhausted. He has already pushed himself over the line."

"Kouro went to the fort on the borders of Nagazora City and fought against Honkai Beasts to give the residents more time to evacuate." Himeko added.

Hearing Himeko's statement, the medical staff nodded their head and continued.

"Aside from the trauma, the damage within his body is even more grievious. Not only did it experience several high intensity battles, like I mentioned earlier. He seemed to have intentionally absorbed excess Honkai Energy by force, resulting in numerous damages and bleeding in his internal organs."

The medical staff took a deep breath before continuing, "If it were to happen again to an ordinary human, even if he didn't become a Zombie because of the concentration of Honkai Energy, he would immediately die from the severe damage his internal organs have."

"Intentionally absorb excess Honkai Energy? Why...?"

Himeko felt strange and it was difficult to understand why Kouro did that as doing so is tantamount to suicide, then Bronya appeared from the side and quickly explained.

"Bronya encountered him at the border fort of Nagazora City earlier, after the battle was over, he saved the last garrison unit member who was getting corrupted by Honkai Energy."

"Is it even possible to stop the corruption of Honkai Energy that invaded the human body by forcibly absorbing it? In theory it exist, but the risk involved are considerable, the pain that one will experience during the process is extremely painful... No, even most Valkyries wouldn't be able to endure."

Everyone fell silent after hearing Himeko's words.

The medical staff took another deep breath, even longer than the previous one, she didn't believe it when she first obtained the information from the data of various diagnostic devices.

"The good news is, the patient's ability to self-recover is beyond imagination. Even if his injuries are fatal, it is not life-threatening. He is simply in a coma for excessive physical and mental exhaustion."

She paused for a moment before continuing, "When he wakes up later, he probably wouldn't be affected by any normal sequelae due to his very high adaptability. According to the data we observed after our diagnosis of the patient, if he continues his treatment, it will take him less than three day to recover."

The four of them didn't know whether the medical staff did it on purpose or not, but to give the bad news to make everyone feel nervous and later give the good news, either way it had everyone breathe a sigh of relief.

Kiana hurriedly asked, "Then, can we go see him now?"

"The patient is still currently in a coma. Sleep is the most efficient way for him to recover. Please don't try and disturb the patient." The medical staff warned, and of course they all agreed.

Then, the fairly large group of people walked inside the ward room where Kouro was situated, watching him sleeping peacefully, Himeko let out a sigh.

"This should be what and ordinary boy should look like. Seeing him as he is now, it is almost impossible to associate him to someone who can face Honkai Beasts, thousands of Zombies and several Mecha Titans head-on."

In this world, the male-to-female ratio is very unbalanced, so Himeko's neighbors are generally females.

The medical staff wanted to complain, but considering the way she reported the situation that angered all the people in the room, she thought it was wiser to keep her mouth shut and avoided drawing out more death flags.

Himeko's words made Kiana and Mei reminisce the little things they did when they met Kouro until today. Even though not too much had happened in a long time, he bore a heavy burden in silence as if nothing happened, and seeing his currently pale and bruised face made them grip their fist tightly.

Since the medical staff earlier said that they shouldn't disturb Kouro's rest, everyone made a tacit understanding and remained quite, even the usually carefree Kiana is unexpectedly behaving silently this time.

Of course, people who are in a coma would not wake up from this level of noise.

After confirming that Kouro's injury was indeed not as bad as they had imagined, they all quickly walked out of the ward with Kiana currently looking a bit sullen, she felt that she was a burden.

Kouro had eliminated so many Honkai Beasts and had done so many other things, yet she fainted because of Mei's aura as she awakened as a Herrscher.

And that Bronya girl who appeared out of nowhere, being able to encounter Kouro at the bordering suburban are of Nagazora City meant that she had the power to be able to roam around Nagazora City that is full of Honkai Beasts and Zombie after the Honkai Eruption.

So she determined that, out of everyone else here, she seemed to be the weakest if them all.

Of course, Kiana couldn't accept it.

"Aunt Himeko, is there a way for Aunt Theresa to make me stronger?"

Right after she finishes speaking, Kiana felt a cold aura reminiscent of death coming from Himeko who was currently smiling albeit the blue veins on her forehead indicates otherwise.

It seems she didn't need to ask he Ain't Theresa for help, but first she had to make sure that she would be alright.

"Cough, Himeko-san, I didn't say anything."
