Chapter 77: Deep Dive

That sacred weapon was the 'golden sword'. It said it has the power to dispel evil, and protect humanity.

But when the monsters from Jiuling invaded, the golden sword was unable to save them. 

The monsters destroyed the village that protected by the Golden sword wielder. 

The elder clan, who was then a golden sword wielder, was unable to unleash the true power of the weapon, so before he died, he gave the weapon to his daughter, 'Ji Xuan Yuan'. 

Seeing her father who sacrificed himself along with his people, she could only escape alone. 

It was during this escape that Xuan Yuan finally accepted the fate that her people including her father had died at the hands of Honkai. 

Without a direction, without a purpose, she can only run away, even when she feels tired and her legs feel numb even to the point of bleeding, she can only run until she faints in the middle of the ground from exhaustion and hunger, in the last seconds before fainting as she felt the loss of all hope.

A strange tattoo appeared under her stomach, this tattoo allowed Xuan Yuan to control the true power of the weapon. 

The gem embedded in the golden sword allowed her to summon the powers of the elements, such as wind, fire, earth, water, and lightning as she wished. 

With that sword and the mystical bird 'Jingwei' that was with her, Xuanyuan was able to attack the Honkai beast 'Chiyou', and repelled it forcefully to retreat to Jiuling.

When people heard the news, they gathered to Xuanyuan's side, and became a tribe that worshiped her as the 'Yellow Emperor', people also called her golden sword as the 'Xuanyuan sword'.

But Xuanyuan didn't care how others worshiped her, her heart was dead with her father and people because of the Honkai invasion, she only had one goal which was to protect humans, because of that, she single-handedly went to Chiyou to finish it off.

But, Honkai Beast Chiyou was so powerful plus its has a island size, Xuanyuan could only seal it in Nine Realms by sacrificing herself, along with her weapons.

Since then, the Yellow Emperor and the Xuanyuan sword have only become legends.

Three days after receiving the mission, in Guangzhou city. 

Kiana, Kouro, Ayame, Mei, and Bronya, dive into the sea near Guanzhou, after Kouro gives them the information that he has gathered.

"Woah! It's beautiful. " Kiana said while looking at the blue jellyfish swimming in her hand. 

"Kiana what are you doing? Focus!" A screen that gave off Himeko's voice appeared in Kiana's view. 

"Major Himeko! I feel a strong concentration of Honkai energy in the cave." Mei said suddenly while pointing at the cave in front of them. 

"The location and structure match the information that the subject Kouro said." Bronya said while looking at the cave as well with a straight face. 

Bronya continued, "Calculations show there is a 34.2% chance that this cave is Nine Realms." 

Hearing Bronya's words, Himeko enthusiastically said, "Alright! Let's go!"

 Fifteen minutes later, they reached the cave.

After removing the respirator masks, they then gathered and walked through the cave with small flashlights attached to their chests.

 Seeing this dark and narrow cave, Kiana then complained. "Is Xuanyuan sword really going to be in this pitch-dark cave? And one more thing, can anyone tell me who the mission guide is?"

Kouro opened his mouth to answer but closed it again, after thinking, let it be a small surprise to Kiana. 

A few minutes later. 

"Waaah! After passing through the cave earlier, it turns out that the depth is this big!" Kiana said in amazement to see in the cave that looks very large coupled with several blue crystals that illuminate in the cave making a natural beauty. 

Himeko looked at her watch and said seriously, "Honkai energy concentration inside here is very high. Maybe this place is the Nine Realms."

"Thank goodness for that, Major Himeko." Mei said gratefully. 

Seeing Himeko who was very serious, Kiana whispered to Kouro and Ayame who were beside her, "Himeko looks very serious about this mission, Usually after coming home she will drink until she is drunk. Unlike now, she will look for various data related to this mission every night until late at night. "

 "Aren't you spoiling her too much, Kouro-kun?" Mei said. 

"Well, I don't mind it." Kouro said casually.

 "Booo.. How about your childhood friend, Kouro? Aren't you spoiling me too?" Ayame said in a sad tone. 

"Fine, fine, I'll make your favorite cake later." Hearing Kouro Ayame's answer then smiled with satisfaction while glancing at Mei. 

Mei just smiled politely in response. 

Himeko who saw this from afar just sighed and shook her head.

She then looked at the cave in front of her while carrying a small hope. 

A hope that has very little chance of being realized.
