I sat batted against a chair. A candle in front of me, books and papers aside. Talya had fallen asleep on me and Dyana had done so on my feet.

The girl was a little shocked but surprisingly accepted it quite easily and willingly offered her blood to me.

Although I still had to hypnotize her so she does not tell my secrets despite the fact I trusted her. Caressing, Talya's hair I looked down at her.

The pale skin glistened under the shade of candlelight rearing me to suck her blood again. A sigh escaped from my mouth, maybe next time.

Staring at the small flicker of light, I wondered about my body's mystery. There are many things I have not found out and every second is a new discovery.

When I use Blood Energy, I am able to affect my surroundings. For example... I stared at the candle in front while applying blood energy, slowly it began to hover in the air. Then... focussing on the fire, it burst into bigger flames.

This is what I meant. I already had an inkling that I could manipulate blood when I killed that guard... but there are many more wonders I can do. It was as if a part of my body, a fourth leg.

Most powers that Valyrians possessed all stemmed from a dark and powerful form of magic and at the same time, the very essence of life.

Blood Magic.

At that moment, my eyes widened as realization dawned upon me. How could I have not thought of this before... Blood.

It is the most sacred medium ever. Even the Legendary Sword of the Azor Azhai, Lightbringer was made... when it bathed into the blood filled with unending love.

Since I am a being of valyrian blood, does that not make my own blood an excellent medium? Could I even drink my own blood?

My nails grew a little longer as I made a cut on my right thumb, licking the blood dripping from it. Hmmm, sadly I feel no major difference when compared to the blood of others... but indeed a little energized.

Next, I held that same finger and let my blood drip onto the table. Releasing a minuscule amount of Blood Energy I concentrated it towards my blood as a medium before releasing it.

"Zālagon."

A low flame began to dance inside the candle. The flames began to flicker as they crawled up the wick until finally taking over the entire thing and making it burn.

Yes! That is exactly what I wanted...

Lower input and higher output.

My blood is more than an excellent medium. It amplifies my blood energy many times. My head did not even hurt much because I truly used quite a few amounts of the energy.

This is amazing!

Looking at myself, the skin around my wounds began to heal rapidly. This was a healing factor of mine, apparently, wounds heal now.

Walking closer to the flame, I watched the flickering light mesmerizingly. It is almost like a dream...

I huffed it out and glanced out the balcony, dawn had begun to crack out of it's shell. An orange ball of fire rose from the East.

I leaned backward, relaxed, and closed my eyes. It would be time to use my Mind's Eye now.

I love Mind's Eye unlike what people would assume but what I dislike is, the fact I am unable to sleep.

The sacrifice for power was the ability to never be able to sleep again. I literally can not seem to be able to fall asleep.

It gets a bit boring but thankfully I still have a few books but they won't be around forever right? I need to find more sources of entertainment soon.

Picking up Talya, I put her on the bed following with Dyana soon after. Both of them should wake up soon.

"Hmmm...?" Speak of the devil. Dyana and Talya both have woken up. Maybe I was a little rough in keeping them on the bed.

"Good both of you woke up, bathe me." After all, I have a dragon to claim.

~

After a nice milk bath with flowers and many nourishing herbs, I sat in front of the mirror as Dyana combed my hair while Talya had already left for her duties.

My face had changed a lot and so had my body. In two days, I had gained considerable muscle. Back when I was sick, my body was similar to a skeleton... the day before yesterday it was monster bulky and today it is lean and perfect.

Recently I noticed another fact, just an hour back when I was bathing. Apparently... I can feel the rats present in the Red Keep.

Weird...

Maybe if I drink more blood, it will increase my powers. No... it is a certainty, not a guess. It will increase.

What if I devour every being in King's Landing... how powerful will I be? I mean, I have already established that blood itself has ranks to them.

I can sniff out which blood is tastier and of better quality. Usually, those embedded with magic in them are tasty.

For example the Targaryen. Just standing there, in front of my sister and my family made me lust for their blood.

It will taste well, I am sure of that. Even the Queen herself smelled delicious. So that leads me to another conclusion.

Magic is not the only factor. Some of them are grooming and healthy food since birth. This is not without a doubt.

Shaking my head, I stood up as Dyana began to dress me. My hair was finely combed and beautifully silky.

A beautiful princely robe enamored my body, it was charcoal in color with red linings upon it.

My lips curled into a smile as I stared at myself. Handsome and predatory. Just like I wanted.

"Shall we leave, your grace?" I briefly looked over to Dyana and nodded. It was time to head to Dragonstone.

Dyana opened the door as we walked outside. From the corner of my eyes, I saw my favorite knight and nodded toward him.

"Ser Joe Mary, would you accompany me to Dragonstone? I am heading to claim a dragon."

The knight's eyes widened as he knelt.

"It would be an honor, your grace."

I smiled lightly. Ser Joe is a useful man. A prince should have a kingsguard, maybe I will add Ser Joe in it as the first one day.

"Good. Let us head to the Great Hall, then."

Ser Joe nodded, following behind me with Dyana.

As we entered the great hall, everyone turned to look at me.

I couldn't help but chuckle softly. Everyone bowed their heads respectfully as I passed by them.

It was then that I saw it, besides the table meant for the Small Council and space for the other lords, nobles, and audience.

Inside the Throne Room, on a high platform laid an asymmetric monstrosity of spikes and jagged edges and twisted metal.

Points of twisted blades fan out like talons from it, surrounded by swords all around. In the middle was a massive and ugly throne.

Atop it sat father. Viserys the Peaceful, the fifth king of the Targaryen dynasty to rule the Seven Kingdoms.

King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men. Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm.

It had been years since I had entered this hall... most of all seen the Iron Throne. I know, forefather Aegon meant good... but that chair looks uncomfortable.

If a King is to rule properly, then he should have a magnificent chair so he can think properly. Not too luxurious nor too deadly.

Maegor the Cruel, son of Visenya had been said to be found dead on this chair itself. One thing for sure was that a person would have major back problems sitting on that monstrosity.

"Your grace," I bowed. He looked at me with a smile, he gestured for me to relax as I spoke.

"Raise, son. How are you doing?" I modder at him, a smile enamoring myself. If I was, to be honest...

"I am well, father... but I was wondering if you could help me in one aspect." I looked around the hall to see if anyone I knew was present.

The Viper was not here yet nor were my nephews or elder sister. Just the Kingsguard and a few maesters.

He looked at me, a frown on his visage as he asked me.

"What happened Baelon?"

"Ship. I need a ship father..." He looked at me puzzled as to why I would need one. In my entire life, I had never set a foot beyond the Red Keep... or even my room for that matter.

The world was immensely unknown to me. Hence it itched me fill with excitement.

Viserys's expression was a little worried. One with concern and care. Gradually it softened.

"A ship? Why?"

"To travel, father. To Dragonstone... and claim a dragon."
