After listening to the Matron, McGonagall gives her a scrutinising look. Because both of them were talking on the same page till Noah arrived in the office.

McGonagall had only to deliver the letter and, if need be, accompany Noah to Diagon Alley and her work here was done.

"Certainly Noah is a brilliant student but sending him to a hilly-billy magician wannabe academy. I'm not so certain about it." the matron said, flatly.

^_^

Noah couldn't help but peek at her in stupefaction after hearing what Matron had declared, but briefly, he had another realisation. Why did the matron, who always conversed with the visitors calmly and gently, currently talked like a woman who had harvested a few phrases from the vegetable market?

Why? The question popped into his mind and quite coincidentally he saw the old ghost holding his nonexistent belly and laughing like crazy.

"Undone it. whatever you did, undo it right now." Noah whispered at him, irately.

"Miss Clint, I believed you'd understood everything I clarified about Hogwarts." McGonagall said calmly, although she didn't appreciate her statement, doing her job was more essential at this point.

"Excuse me, what was I saying just now?" The Matron stammered, glancing as Mcgonagall like she had just roused up from slumber.

'Shit, this old boot is going to make it direr.' Noah cussed in his mind as the circumstances were escalating toward an alarming end.

"Excuse me miss, does accidentally setting ablaze  a cupboard furthermore reckoned as magic?" Noah cut in. To dodge the greater problem he hurled a visionary bad action.

"Of course Mr Maxmillian, and we at Hogwarts teach gifted children like yourself to manipulate the magic and use it for better ambitions." McGonagall let out and scrutinised his articulations and ignoring the ignorant Matron by default.

"See, she is actually calling you a gifted kid. don't you feel there is something wrong with her eyes? who would in their right mind can call you a gifted?" The old ghost remarked while gliding above McGonagall's chair.

'Just breathe, you can't listen to him.' Noah began chanting in his sanity as he got an inevitable urge to thrash talk the old ghost.

McGonagall clarified the important information to Noah and Matron again, who was now back in her calm manner, meanwhile being ignored by Noah, the old ghost scowled and sailed away to the corner, to which Noah heaved a sigh of relief.

"Here is your letter, which encloses a Hogwarts acceptance letter, a list of supplies, and a train ticket." McGonagall handed a thick grey letter to Noah.

McGonagall paused while Noah read the letter and the supply list with varied emotions that seemed a bit peculiar but with that thought running through her mentality she said furthermore, "You will find everything enclosed in the supply list at the Diagon Alley and I can assist you with it if you desire."

"Thank you. but I believe I'll manage it on my own." Noah denied her offer instantly.

After a brief chat with the matron, McGonagall departs and Noah proceeds straight to his chamber instead of going back to schooling.

"What were you attempting to do with the matron?" Noah asked after shutting his room's entrance.

"who? me? What did I do?" The old ghost shrugged in denial. "Besides, I believe our old gentlewoman didn't like that young-looking old woman from Hogwarts, that must have been the reason for her odd behaviour, don't you think?."

"Don't shift the subject, gramps." Noah reprimanded, "No one is daring enough to attempt to play with someone's mind in the presence of a professional wizard beside you."

"Thanks for your praise, kid, but still I have to correct you." He declared and went on while lifting his head in insolence, "That Minerva lady is certainly skilled in the domain of transmutation and enchantment but the same cannot be said about her depth in the magic essence, otherwise she would have felt my existence from the beginning."

'Sigh, crazy old pervert.' Noah mumbled in his heart and asked, abruptly. "So, do you know anything about Hogwarts?"

"Who doesn't, every living existence in the wizarding world or squib world knows about it, it's an overrated academy which is solely dependent on a white-haired aged sorcerer." The old ghost said.

"That's somewhat a unique way to represent an academy." Noah couldn't help but chuckle.

"Well, that's what I heard as I roamed around for a decade." he recalled his days of ghastly gloominess, "But there's one thing about that academy that piqued my attraction."

"what? Does the academy have dragons?" Noah cut in trying to exact his payback.

"No, silly kid. Dragons are not that rare. You can locate them if you wander into the furthest woodlands in the north. The genuine treasure at Hogwarts is its library which exists in the size of a mountain. retaining the wisdom of witchcraft of ancient and modern epoch." said the old ghost, there was no response on his complexion when he spoke about dragons, but those thousands of hidden texts brought a twinkle of allure in his gazes.

"Geez, I didn't know you were a nerd." Noah remarked.

"Nerd? what's that?" The old ghost asked.

"cough, cough, N-Nerd is somebody who dedicates his life to contemplations and discoveries." Noah stammered, even though he also was relatively one measure away in his past life from obtaining that unique title but spotting an aged ghastly geek was one of the distinctive occasions.

"Well, you don't know it but I was a prominent nerd from a young age." The old ghost said proudly.

"Ahem, that's truly befitting." Noah remarked while retaining his impulse to crack up, "Yet you haven't told me the truth, why did you attempt to muddle her intellect?"

"Alright you caught me there, but I just wished for you not to go to Hogwarts." The old Ghost whispered.

"What! Why! What's the excuse that made you determine that I shouldn't go there?" Noah screeched as he couldn't even talk adequately.

"Because without a decent host I can't evade that school's protective wards and can not come with you to protect you." The old ghost said, dispiritedly.

"Protect me? Host! Does it have to be a living being? And when did you get a chance to examine those security precincts?" Noah asked, as the circumstances indeed got filmy.
