Chapter 1: #0 Prologue

"Come back here you monster!"

I heard people screaming at me while I was running for some reason. I heard them running closer and closer, but then I saw a cave and decided I would make it my hiding place. I ran into the cave as fast as possible and hid behind one of the cave walls. The Angry people walked past the cave and went further still screaming.

"Finally I lost them, I'm gonna rest now."

I laid down on the cold stone floor and closed my eyes when suddenly I got stabbed by something. I opened my eyes and saw one of the farmers looking down on me while holding a pitchfork stabbed into my chest. I coughed blood and the farmer said.

"Got you now..."

I fell off my bed and quickly stood up.

"What was that dream?"

I walked out of my bedroom and went into my supply room, picking up a rusty sword and a backpack.

"I'm gonna go hunting to clear my mind"

I headed out of my house into the nearby forest. I spent 40 minutes trying to catch something but to no avail. Then I spotted a rabbit.

'This is my chance' i thought. I slowly approached the rabbit but it quickly spotted me. The rabbit dashed as fast as possible and I rushed after it. I was running after it for a couple of minutes and the rabbit went into a cave. I followed it and lost track of it. I saw a light at the end of the cave. I slowly approached the light source and saw a weird glowing stone. I decided to check it out and picked it up, and then the stone started glowing even more and I had to close my eyes for a second but after I opened them again there was no stone there anymore. I walked out of the cave slightly scared and decided it was better if I return home. I walked out of the cave and I realized the sun is setting.

"I went out in the morning, why is it getting dark. I was only outside for an hour or so"

Feeling weirded out I came back to the village and decided to go sleep because for some reason I felt really sleepy. I was waking up the whole night because I felt like something electrocuted me every couple of minutes. I got up very early, barely awake. I get out of my house and headed towards the market in the middle of the village. I decided to buy something for breakfast as I remembered I didn't even eat anything yesterday. I walked up to a stall that was selling apples and I decided to buy one.

"How much are they?"

"3 bronze per apple"

"Then please give me two of them"

I gave 6 bronze to the stall owner and he gave me the apples. I decided to walk around the market and look at the things people are selling while eating my apples. Someone was selling swords and I decided to take a look. I saw a magic sword but without the elemental stone, so it was just like any normal sword but overpriced.

"Can I look at this one?"

"Sure"

I reached to pick up the sword an electric current got through the sword and shot a projectile from the tip scaring everyone around. The shopkeeper paled and I thought

'This isn't good '

I threw the cost of the sword on the counter of the stall and ran away with the sword back to my home. I sat down on my bed and looked at the sword again. It was slightly glowing in purple and I felt weird energy going through it, as I was looking at it someone knocked on the door. I got up left the sword on the bed and went to open the door. On the other side stood three guards. They took their swords out and started attacking me. I immediately ran, took the sword and jumped through a window in my bedroom running towards a forest. The guards ran after me.

'Maybe I will be able to slow them down if I do the same thing at the stall, the question is how am I supposed to do that?'

I turned around and started swinging the sword in their direction. They just looked at me weirdly.

'Work for fuck sake!'

I tried a different approach I tried to push the weird energy out of the sword and it worked! A projectile shot out of the tip of the sword and hit one of the guards. He fell down unconscious. The second guard stopped trying to help his friend but the third one was still chasing me.

'I think I can handle one of the guards'

I felt confident with the weird power I got, a little too confident. I stopped running and turned around towards the guard. He wasn't expecting me to stop running so he almost lost balance. I used it to my advantage and slashed him using the sword, yet even with him not being ready he still blocked my attack. The guard tried to slash me but I blocked it. The guard's strength was a little overwhelming and I slightly lost my balance. He used the opportunity to slash me on my chest. It started bleeding heavily. I backed away from the guard, and on instinct swung my sword creating a slash made of thunder that decapitated the guard. I lost consciousness from the blood loss.
