[Is that necessary? Why is she so sad?]
[Even acting needs to be realistic. I’ve never seen a guest crying so badly during their farewell.]
[It’s just a ploy to make it look as though parting for life.]
[Previous post, are you guys dumb? Hu Yue’er is obviously crying because of God Ye!]
[That’s why. She’s about to part ways with God Ye. If it were me, I’d cry myself into a coma.]
[Previous post, you dumb cute girl can drop your act now. God Ye is mine!]
[No, God Ye belongs to everyone!]
…
Zhao Liangying was fine. Although she felt sad, she was still a celebrity working under Ye Lingchen after all. She had plenty of chances to see Ye Lingchen in the future. Hu Yue’er, on the other hand, was a different story. It would be up to fate for her to meet Ye Lingchen again. Even if they met, it would be almost impossible for them to live together like this. That was the main reason behind her sadness.
The program crew naturally understood the reason behind Hu Yue’er’s tears. However, they could only sigh in lamentation when faced with such circumstances. As outsiders, it was not something they could get involved with.
Ye Lingchen opened his mouth, but words failed him.
He was not stupid, therefore clearly understood what was happening. However, he could not make any promises.
If he were to approach her for no good reason and told Hu Yue’er that she was a good girl and would find someone better, that would be an absolutely stupid move. Putting aside how much that would hurt Hu Yue’er, the main issue is that she had yet to confess, giving him no chance to reject her.
Furthermore, the part where she would find someone better than him was just pure bullsh*t. Any sane person could tell that it was impossible.
‘Could it be that I’m a jerk?’
Ye Lingchen frowned, then shook his head right after.
‘Jerks would purposely hit girls up and play with their feelings. I’m not like that.’
In the end, Ye Lingchen could only sigh. The root of the problem was his excellence. It was like the brightest star in the sky, always the one people pay attention to, causing countless people to flock to him, like moths to a flame.
In other words, if a man did not attract any girls, that would only prove that man’s incompetence. Any competent man would surely be liked by girls. That did not mean that all excellent men were jerks right?
With that thought in mind, Ye Lingchen let out a sigh of relief. ‘I’m not a jerk after all.’
Beside him, Hu Yue’er was crying while observing Ye Lingchen’s reaction. She saw that he was blanking off, occupied with his thoughts. That inadvertently caused her to feel slightly triggered. ‘You’re still so stoic when I’m like this? Are you human?’
Finally, she could not hold it in any longer. “Lingchen, you told me you’ll give me a bag. You haven’t forgotten about it right?”
“Of course not. Just wait for my good news,” Ye Lingchen replied.
“Hmph,” Hu Yue’er finally made a satisfactory huff, feeling slightly better. “Then…why don’t you add me on WeChat for easier communication?”
“No need for trouble. When the time comes, just go collect it from Vatti,” Ye Lingchen replied without thinking.
Hu Yue’er was stunned, then went into an embarrassed rage. “Are you adding me or not?!”
Her red puffy eyes stared at Ye Lingchen, as though she would continue crying again the very next instant.
“Add! I must add! I’ve been thinking of that since a long time ago.” Ye Lingchen nodded urgently.
[Pfft! Hahaha! God Ye is just too cute.]
[I didn’t expect God Ye to have the qualities of a steely straight man. I feel sorry for Hu Yue’er for one second.]
[God Ye, don’t cower if you’re a man!]
[Sigh, forcing the girl to take the initiative. However, I remember that God Ye has a girlfriend right? Does this count as disloyalty?]

…
On a morning two days later, near the eastern harbor, several streams from various towns around Capital City flowed eastward to the East China Sea.
A huge bridge was built about three kilometers westward of the harbor, the Haihe Bridge[1].
China was famous for its constructions, leading the world when it came to infrastructure. China had vast lands and resources, with all sorts of terrains. Regardless of the environment, it would surely build something spectacular.
Bridge construction was one of its finest. A bridge that cut across the sea or river was just a minor issue.
At that moment, it was rush hour for the workforce. A lot of the workers were driving on the bridge, rushing to work.
Honk honk honk!
Screech—
Right then, a bus was swerving left and right on the bridge, accompanied by an ear-piercing screech.
From the screeching sound, one could tell that the driver was slamming the breaks, trying to stop the vehicle. However, momentum would not allow them to stop immediately.
On the road, busses were the king. The urgent honking caused the cars on the bridge to panic, causing a lot of them to pull over.
The next moment, for some unknown reason, the front of the bus swerved to the side and rammed against the barrier on the edge of the bridge. With a loud bang, the huge bus flew out of the bridge and went straight into the water!
The river was by the East China Sea. It was wide and had strong currents. If one dropped into the water, it was as good as dead. Furthermore, with the entire bus going into the water, the chances of the passengers surviving this would be less than 10 percent.
“Ah!”
“Help!”
Immediately, panicked screams broke out on the bridge. Everyone was stunned. Those who witnessed the entire process of the falling bus all went pale.
“Call the police!”
“Right, the police!”
At that moment, countless people took out their phones and called the police. Some even called the firefighters. All in all, they had to get help as soon as possible!
On Haihe Bridge, most cars pulled over and a large number of people gathered.
The news spread quickly, striking fear into those who heard it.
“Oh no! That whole bus is done for!”
“What was that bus doing? Why did it lose control?”
“That’s the bus that goes by the school! At this kind of time, the passengers are mostly students!” shouted someone.
That instantly turned the atmosphere on the scene even darker. Faced with such a terrifying scene, a large number of people cried. Fate was too cruel.
“Where’s the police? The rescue team? How can they be so slow for such a serious incident? Save them!”
“Are there any boats nearby? Send them over. Please save them!”
Many people were shouting anxiously.
They all knew the rescue team could not fly. They couldn’t arrive that quickly. Even if a boat came over, it would not be able to help the sinking bus.
However, that was their only hope. They were really out of options…
