However, he saw two pairs of glowing green eyes staring right back at them. The animals’ mouths even let out low growls.
“It’s just two doggies!”
After seeing everything clearly, the two of them let out a drawn-out sigh of relief. There was even a smirk on their faces.
“Big…Big brother, will these two dogs bark?” The man asked rather worryingly.
“Hahaha, don’t panic, don’t panic. Now I’ll show you how a strong aura can suppress these dogs!”
The big brother laughed with contempt in his tone.
After saying those words, he focused his attention on Little Green and Little Gray, then took a sudden step forward. With that step, his aura was released accordingly. It appeared quite overwhelming and it was headed toward Little Green and Little Gray!
As a member of Earth’s Gate, they were undoubtedly martial artists whose strength far exceeded that of ordinary people. Moreover, they killed people as though they were scything through flax and they inherently possessed a strong aura. That aura was sufficient to strike fear into anyone if it was released. It would be more than easy to scare two puny little dogs out of their wits, causing them to tuck their tail behind their legs, afraid of letting out the quietest of farts.
“As expected, Big Brother! Such a powerful aura!” As a junior, he cheered for his senior in a well-timed manner. If not for the inappropriate setting, he would have done so loudly and even applauded the man.
Hmm?
However, the two of them were subsequently stunned when they looked at Little Green and Little Gray—the two dogs seemed completely unperturbed.
Instead of fleeing, the two canines had absolutely zero traces of fear on their expression.
“This is odd. Are these two dogs mentally retarded?” the big brother frowned and guessed.
“Probably. From the looks of it, they’re the stupid kind of dogs, like Huskies. Big Brother, what should we do next?”
“Hehe, since they’re not running, they have no reason to blame us for being cruel!” said the Big Brother menacingly. He then licked his tongue and remarked. “I haven’t eaten dog meat in a long time. These two dogs are so fat. They must surely taste delicious! We’ll treat them as a midnight snack.”
“Big Brother is smart!”
The two men looked at Little Green and Little Gray and laughed simultaneously. It was as though they were looking at two plates of dog meat.
“Let’s go!”
The two of them launched their attack at the same time. With lightning-fast speed, one of them punched out while the other delivered a kick. Both their attacks were heading straight for Little Green and Little Gray!
Based on their assessment of the situation, Little Green and Little Gray appeared to have been stunned silly. There was no change in either of those little wolves’ faces, but their mouth seemed to curl up as if laughing sarcastically.
“Die!”
They had absolute confidence that the two canines would be unable to escape under such an attack.
However, just as their attack was only half a foot away from Little Green and Little Gray, the two dogs in their vision moved suddenly to one side. Then, the two animals jumped at an astounding speed and began rushing toward them!
Rip!
The dog’s paw flashed across them and the clothes on both the men’s chests were immediately torn apart, leaving a deep scratch.
“Hiss!”
The two of them inhaled sharply at the same time. They swiftly shifted their bodies backward and had traces of horror in their eyes.
“Did a dog just hurt me?” The big brother’s eyes seemed to become a little dizzy as if he could not accept the reality before him.
He then looked at Little Green and Little Gray again. They still stood there and watched the two men calmly. Their fur danced with the wind under the moonlight.
In an instant, the pupils of the big brother shrank suddenly and he felt a masterful character coming from the two dogs.
“These two dogs…are extraordinary!”
The big brother said solemnly, “Looks like we need to be serious!”

“Come on!” The two men immediately went into a ready position and gave the two canines a serious stare.
“Woof!”
With a low growl, Little Green and Little Gray launched their attack at the same time.
The only sound heard during that quiet night was that of tearing and ripping. Not long after, two miserable figures clad in tattered clothes ran out of the landscape garden. They looked like they had seen a ghost, and their feet staggered as they panicked without knowing where they were going.
Disheveled and in an utter mess, their clothes were nothing more than a few pieces of fabric dancing in the wind. The scratches on their bodies were even more disturbing.
In addition to the physical attack, their mental fortitude had suffered tremendous shock too. They mumbled incoherently throughout the entire time.
At the same time, a couple of troops were walking along the waterway on the other side of the landscape garden. They were riding on a small broken boat into the housing area.
Although the boat was not that big, there were six figures on it. Their leader was a middle-aged man standing on the bow with a wine glass in his hand.
“Are you sure that Junior Apprentice-Sister Miyako is here?” the leader asked.
“Senior Apprentice-Brother, it’s true!” a thin and very short man replied. After a pause, he continued, “According to the information obtained by the subordinates, Senior Apprentice-Sister Miyako appears to have been serving a man.”
“What?!” It was as though the middle-aged man was struck by lightning. His voice became sharp, his breathing became more urgent, and his eyes were fixed on the man. “Say that again?”
The man gulped hard and stubbornly repeated. “Senior Apprentice-Sister Miyako might have been helping that man warm…warm his bed every night.”
Crack!
The middle-aged man crushed the glass in his hand all of a sudden. Blue veins began throbbing on his forehead and he lifted the man up. “Say that again?!”
“Senior Apprentice-Brother, I, I…”
“Why didn’t you rescue Miyako if you already knew that she was here?” the middle-aged man asked harshly.
“We persuaded Senior Apprentice-Sister Miyako, but she said she was willing to accept the loss in her gamble. It was her own choice.”
“Fallen from grace! She has fallen from grace!”
The middle-aged man’s body was trembling. His eyes were red and tears began to pool as if he was about to cry at any moment.
“How could she fall to that kind of level as the Gambling King’s apprentice? Where is her dignity?!” The middle-aged man was aggrieved and angry. He looked up to the sky and roared, “I have deep feelings for my Junior Apprentice-Sister and I’m always willing to give her everything. Why did she spurn me and help other men…warm their beds?! Does she feel nothing for me at all? God is unfair!”
“No matter who it is that dared to defile my goddess, I’ll make sure he pays the price!” The middle-aged man’s voice was hoarse and stern. “No more waiting. We’ll act tonight!”
“Isn’t this too impulsive, Apprentice-Brother? How about we get to the bottom of everything first?”
“If we wait another day, Miyako will suffer yet another day of humiliation! No one can stop my determination to save my sister!” The middle-aged man’s voice was determined, “Not even Buddha and God can stop me! Swords and flames and mountains and seas can never stop me!”
He fantasized about how handsome he must be at that moment.
The very next second, however, the boat under their feet shook suddenly and was then lifted up by a strong force. They looked down at once and saw that a giant being was slowly rising from underwater.
‘This, this is…’
Everyone’s hearts had already jumped up to their throats. A column of water fell from the sky immediately after and rained directly on them, showering them with a chill.
As they all turned to look at the source of the water, their eyes nearly popped out. What they saw was a huge tortoise turning its head and faintly taking note of their presence. In an instant, everyone felt a chill from head to toe and the hairs all over their body stood on end.
“OH MY MOTHERF*CKING GOD! A water monster!”
“Mother of God! China does have monsters! It’s too horrible!”
“Horrible, terrible, Mama! I want to go back to the Sun Nation!”
…
In just a few seconds, they jumped off the boat at once and fell into the water. Huffing and puffing as they swam, they headed for the shore as quickly as possible.
At this point, the senior apprentice-brother’s aura exploded and he swam the fastest. Both his hands and legs were moving quickly, like a motor. He fled at an unparalleled speed and left the others behind—he was no doubt the most outstanding swimmer among the group…
