As everyone knew, every medicine strived to treat an illness. The ability to eradicate an illness was nothing but an exaggeration and was impossible to achieve.
According to Ye Lingchen’s explanation, his medicine could take effect in a mere five minutes and the rabies virus could be completely eradicated in half an hour. The claim was utter nonsense.
Did he really think that the medicine he had created was a miraculous elixir?
Despite Western medicine being known for its quick results, the most common diseases of all—the cold—required three uninterrupted days of taking the medicine before one could recover.
The reason for that was because the human body had a specific process of absorbing and adapting to the drug itself, followed by a war between the drug and the virus. Said war could not be too violent, otherwise, the drug might be too strong and harm the body instead. That was why it took some time for the treatment cycle.
“I’ve made my claim and I’m confident enough to prove it,” Ye Lingchen answered curtly.
That simple sentence shocked the audience.
Even those experienced international professors could not sit still and began whispering to each other. Some of the pharmaceutical industry’s giants frowned slightly and stared closely at Ye Lingchen as if wanting to see through his mask.
Being able to treat rabies was earth-shaking enough, and if the effect was as Ye Lingchen claimed, then it could be described as a miracle drug. That alone would be enough to bring change to the medical world, with investors and the common folk going mad for it.
Why?
Because if Ye Lingchen could cure rabies in such a short time, then it may well mean that he had a way to treat other diseases immediately.
For example, fevers, colds, or a cough took at least a few days for one to recover, but if there was ever a medicine that would cure one a person in about ten minutes after consumption, then the medication would be considered a miraculous one that defied all laws.
It seemed as though…such elixirs could only exist in TV series and movies, right?
“It’s impossible for this kind of drug to exist in this world,” Amir could not help but remark from one side. After a pause, he turned his head and asked his assistant, “Do you think it’s possible?”
“In principle, the answer is likely no. The human body has to undergo a process before being able to absorb any medication.” The assistant cocked a brow, then continued, “Unless…he has a way to bypass that aspect. If he does have one, then its value will be very unique. China would never disclose it voluntarily.”
“That’s right. Even if they show it, it’ll only be the tip of the iceberg. Who would dare to reveal such a thing in public? That action alone is preposterous.” Amir chuckled.
Many of those present were top experts in the medical field and hardly believed in the existence of such miraculous medicine in China.
Immediately after that, famous and prestigious medical experts began standing up one after another to question him. They each put forward a point to refute Ye Lingchen’s statement, and many people even condemned it as a paradox that did not exist at all.
A commotion slowly built up in the audience.
“Did the Chinese come to make fun of us? I think he’s a little kid who can’t even understand the most basic of medical theory.”
“Madness! How could such a person qualify to participate in such a stage?”
“The Chinese came here deliberately to cause a sensation. Even if such technology exists, I believe that it’s not something China is capable of researching.”
“F*ck! What are you foreigners talking about?!”
“Are you looking down on China’s medical skills? This is Miracle Doctor Y!”
“Open up your useless eyes and watch closely, but be careful not to let them pop out.”
…
In the face of all those doubts, many Chinese people were angry and furious. At the same time, they felt slightly less confident in their hearts as well. They could only hope that Miracle Doctor Y was able to conjure up miracles.
“Is Miracle Doctor Y’s telling the truth?”
“What kind of medicine is this? How could it have such a quick effect.”
“F*ck man, I’m so nervous.”

“It’s possible. We’re not exaggerating Miracle Doctor Y’s medical skills. Simply speaking about it would be enough to surprise the foreigners!”
Ye Lingchen’s presentation was undoubtedly the most questioned one in the entire International Medical Association.
“Please show us the medicine.” It was pointless to say anything more. One of the old professors onstage urged Ye Lingchen on and wanted to end the meaningless test as soon as possible.
At first, everyone thought that Ye Lingchen would let his assistant take the stage. Furthermore, a precious medicine like that ought to have been placed in a special safe or something of the sort, but under everyone’s intent gazes, Ye Lingchen raised his hand and nonchalantly took out a small box from his pocket.
It was a small square box that had a rather plain exterior. There was no lock at all, and it could be opened simply by pulling it.
However, the most surprising part had yet to come. The instant everyone saw what was in the box, they inhaled sharply and burst into a fit of laughter. Many were cackling so manically that their chins nearly fell onto the ground.
A black, round pill was seen inside the box.
“BWAHAHAHA. This is a f*cking joke! Could this be the elixir told in legends?”
“Is he making a TV show? Do elixirs like this still exist?”
“F*ck! I’ve seen the world now! Does this fella think he’s a cultivator?”
“The Chinese look frightened.”
“Look, the Chinese themselves are dumbfounded.”
“What era are we in right now that we still use these alchemical pills? I almost thought I traveled into another dimension.”
“Could he be a scammer?”
At the end of the day, China’s leaders were getting fidgety and so were China Medical College’s senior officials.
No one thought that Ye Lingchen would come up with that kind of charade. If it turned out to be fake, China’s dignity would be all but lost.
There…should not be a problem, right?
Even though they were sweating profusely, they did not think that it was proper to get up and ask questions, so all they could do was just wait anxiously.
Woof! Grrrrrr! Woof, woof!
The next moment, the target of the drug test was brought forward.
It was a big gray-black wolfdog with pricked-up ears and crimson eyes. Locked inside a cage, it barked frantically in a deranged manner, sending chills down everyone’s spine.
Still restless despite being kept in the cage, it trashed around wildly inside and constantly gnawed the cage like a crazed animal.
Everyone present was sure at a glance that the dog had rabies and had entered the extreme excitement phase, which could be construed to mean that the dog was beyond treatment.
Then, a staff member took the pill from Ye Lingchen’s hand, then stuffed it into the dog’s mouth using an instrument.
Many people snickered. ‘Will it take effect in just five minutes? Haha.’
After a while, however, the originally violent dog gradually calmed down under everyone’s stunned looks. Its breathing became stable and it even started to whimper.
“How was that possible?!”
On stage, the professors who hailed from various countries were stunned.
Medical experts from various countries were stupefied.
The medical enthusiasts and students who came to observe were bamboozled.
Amir stared to the extent that his eyes nearly popped out. His expression was filled with disbelief!
