“So? Did you agree to him right away?”

On the other end of the phone call was a voice that could contain its excitement. I rolled my eyes and said, “How is that possible?”

Such a dignified person like me, how would I throw away my modesty for a small amount of money.

Of course I had to reject him once first.

After a short momentary shock, I quickly snapped back to my senses, righted my expression before saying, “This doesn’t sound proper, right?”

“Why not?” He asked.

“What if you…couldn’t hold back at one point and do some extra things then?”

“Hm? What kind of extra things?”

“Well…you don’t need me to spell it out. You know it yourself!”

He let out a laugh before saying in a serious tone, “I promise I won’t do what I shouldn’t. Do you feel assured now? How about we sign a contract then?”

Sign a contract? He really thinks this is some serious fucking business huh?

I was thoroughly speechless from what he said. I really don’t get how his brain works.

“Do you agree to it?” He prodded in a low voice.

“I…Let me consider a little.”

The alley was empty and the streets were very quiet at night. I looked down at my feet, wondering if agreeing to his suggestion would be the same as selling my body. But I failed to notice that the tall figure in front of me had gotten so close to me, he was only a stone’s throw distance away.

“Xia Zhi.” He called my name in a deep voice.

I subconsciously looked up, yet my lips bumped into his chin when I did that. The fleeting, gentle sense of touch felt extra distinct then.

Before I could take a step back, he held my face and planted a kiss.

It happened too suddenly that I opened my mouth out of shock. With that, he took the chance to go even further.

Fuck! This bastard!

We’re still on the fucking street?!

Unlike the previous time in the car, his movements were much more relaxed this time. His invading tongue swept across my lips and along my teeth without a hint of fear. Gripped by the panic of being seen at any moment, I felt a surge of adrenaline as my heart started bearing like it was going to burst out of my chest.

I pushed with all the strength I could muster, but he barely budged at all. My legs on the other hand, turned too weak for me to stand properly. I slid down against the world, my entire body pretty much hanging on to him for my dear life. He lifted me up by my thighs with one hand.

A moment of clarity flashed across my mind. I seized the opportunity to show resistance, biting down on his lips.

""

It was a pretty harsh bite, which drew some red. I could taste the faint scent of blood as he let out a hiss. Yet, to think he continued to kiss me for a while more without being bothered by it, only releasing me after that.

I slumped against the wall and wiped my mouth before yelling, “Are you fucking crazy? I haven’t agreed to it yet!”

He stayed really close to me still, licking the wound at the corner of his lips. His eyes darkened for a split second before gradually returning to being bright and clear. He then reached out to caress my face again.

“…I should at least have a taste first, right?” He said.

In between whispers, I could feel his breath on my face. I twisted my face to the side uncomfortably, while internally wincing the entire time.

Taste? I think this sly businessman is trying to inspect the goods instead.

Once I found myself able to stand again, I immediately pushed him aside. It didn’t take much effort to succeed this time.

“This has to fucking count towards deducting from the debt. You’re not allowed to object to that.”

At that, he seemed to have smirked a little before replying, “Didn’t you say you have some thinking to do first?”

Holy shit! I reacted with a violent jolt. I got scammed!

This guy’s tactics are too fucking underhanded! Suffocated by anger, I wondered why I didn’t just bite him to death earlier!

But what should I do now? I’m completely stuck now. If I were to say yes, then I would have fallen into his trap. But if not, then I got taken advantage of, all for nothing?

I sneaked a glance at him. This guy started walking ahead with a carefree, happy expression, like nothing could bother him at all. The sight of that angered me even more.

Although my brain was still a jumbled mess, I really didn’t want to let this person get things to go exactly the way he wanted. I had to at least get back at him once, in order to have my revenge for what happened earlier.

With that thought, I stopped in my tracks and said, “The hotel’s just ahead. There are other volunteers at the lobby too, so I’ll head back first.

He turned back to look at me, “Have you decided?”

I was silent for a moment before giving him a devilish smile. Meeting his eyes, I took one step forward, reached out and tugged down on his tie.

He was slightly surprised, but still leaned down to see what I was up to.

I tilted my head closer to his ear, but I failed to control my movements well and accidentally brushed against his ear with my lips. I could feel how obviously his entire body stiffened up from that.

Without thinking too much about it, I lowered my voice and said viciously, “Why don’t you take a fucking guess?!”

I turned around and fled after dumping that on him. Then, I ran and ran a long distance before stopping. When I turned around, I found him standing motionless in the same place. I laughed wildly before yelling at him, “Just you wait, I’ll tell you tomorrow!”

Although the loss was extremely huge, but considering the fact that I managed to get back at him once at the end, my mood turned a little better. Therefore, I didn’t mind telling the entire process to my childhood friend.

It went silent on her end again. I could vaguely hear the sound of consistent inhaling. Wait, don’t tell me she fell off her bed again?

“Fuck!” She suddenly shouted, “My mask tore from all the laughing!”

“……”

There were some rustling sounds from the other end, which I guessed was just her peeling off the mask. Her voice returned to normal, but I could hear her holding back a laugh. “Xiao Zhi, are you really that stupid?”

“What are you talking about?” I huffed, “Where did I act stupid now?”

She didn’t answer to my question, only sighing as she said, “That first year1 is truly a fucking business genius. You can’t win against him.”

“What first year,” I corrected her with a frown, “He’s a senior who’s going to graduate soon.”

“I was referring to…sigh, forget it. You won’t understand.” She changed the topic instead, “Are you going to say yes to him tomorrow?”

“Well…” I responded sullenly, expecting her to laugh at me for losing my modesty in the face of money, but instead she just let out a series of ‘hehehe’ giggles. “There’s no loss this time.”

“Goodbye.”

“Hey, wait up. The senior you were talking about just now. What is his name?”

“Shen Die. Why?”

“Why is his name a little familiar to me…”

“It can’t be. You know him?”

She said, “Impossible. if I knew such a high-quality man, how could I not have any recollection? Tsk, how strange. I must have heard of it somewhere.”

I knew all too well about my childhood friend’s habit. She has a sense of admiration towards all handsome men and beautiful women, thinking it’s her fate to have met them. Not finding anything strange because of that, I concluded it was just her acting love-sick again.

I had an afternoon shift the next day, so I slept in till 10 o’clock. After having lunch, I slowly headed towards the event location.

The lunch break wasn’t over yet when I got there. I found that guy the second I walked in, standing in one place and chatting with some of his foreign classmates. When I passed by behind him, I heard a brown-haired man ask him in English where he got his mouth injury from.

Startled, I immediately took two steps back and hid my face. Yet, I heard him laugh before saying lazily, “Well, a cat bit me.”

The foreigners instantly understood what he meant. “Didn’t you go back early last night? Where did that wild cat come from?”

He shook his head and said seriously, “It’s a home cat.”

I looked at that annoying smile on his face, feeling the urge to kick him in the ass right now.

Fuck you, what do you mean home cat! Spouting nonsense however you like, do you think I can’t hear it?!

I feel like I’ve shaved off a few years off my life from being pissed off so much for the past few days. I escaped in a hurry and started moving some boxes of equipment to cool off.

When I ran into him again at the flower bed behind the venue building, my emotions have settled down quite a bit, enough to resist the urge to strangle him to death right here.

He hung his suit jacket on his arm, loosening his tie while saying, “Can we talk now?”

I noticed the faint greenish tinge under his eyes and thought, ‘The meeting is quite tiring, huh. To think he still stayed up late at night too.’

Of course, that didn’t mean I was going to go easy on him. I was simply gloating at his suffering. I cleared my throat and said squarely, “Before agreeing, we have to be clear on the specific matters, right? Last night you did…ahem, that and that for so long. That’s at least fifty?”

He wasn’t surprised by my question at all. “You’re pretty smart this time around.

That’s right, how could I be careless with money-related matters?

Besides, if he does what he did last night again, wouldn’t I be at a huge loss of money? What kind of business would that be?

“I have to charge it by the hour…no, by the second!”

He nodded approvingly, “Are you in charge of keeping count?”

Shit, who the hell would bring a timer for that kind of thing? I’m not a pervert!

“Then we can only estimate it,” He said, “Yesterday’s…a hundred and fifty?”

I was going to say a hundred, but since he took the initiative to raise the price, I reluctantly nodded without showing a hint of joy.

According to this calculation, then I should be able to quickly pay off the 4200, right?

Then I can get back on track of my path as a straight guy. With an additional amount of money, how blissful.

No one was around us and while I was still deep in thought, the guy in front of me tried leaning in closer again. I backed away with a jolt and said, “Wait, wait, wait! I have something to add on!”

He straightened his back discontentedly, “What is it?”

“N-N-Next time, you’re not allowed to…do that in public! What should I do if I’m seen in broad daylight, being taken advantage of!”

My innocence as a straight man would be out the window then!

Hearing that, the slight displeasure shown on his face earlier on vanished. As if he recalled something, he gladly agreed to what I said instead, “Sure, we’ll go to the hotel next time.”

“???”
