Fooling Around
There are only two classes in the morning.
Shen Man’s schoolbag is almost half dry, but the magazines in it are still wet.
Shen Man walked out of the front door with her school bag and Lin Shu’s books.
Lin Shu watched Shen Man’s figure disappear, and the tight string in her mind finally relaxed.
She slumped her shoulders and lay on the table, her eyes closing.
Seeing this, Tan Kai asked with a smile, “Aren’t you going back?”
“I don’t want to go back.” Lin Shu said, her voice weak. She didn’t want to see Shen Man at all.
“Then I’ll send Shen Man back first.” After saying that, Tan Kai went out carrying his own bag.
Lin Shu put her chin against the table while holding her phone in both hands. She scrolled through some boring posts.
A notification popped up, it was a message from Yan Jie.
“Sister Lin Shu, did our plan succeed? Did Shen Man cry?” Yan Jie asked excitedly.
Lin Shu didn’t want to answer, so she just typed, “I don’t want to mention her.”
“Okay, okay, let’s not talk about that anymore. By the way, a new coffee shop opened nearby. Wanna go?” Yan Jie asked.
“Uh-huh.” After typing that, Lin Shu turned off her phone and left.
Shen Man stood at the school gate and only saw Tan Kai alone. She got into the car and asked, “Where’s Shushu?”
“She seems to be in a bad mood. I guess she is going to hang out with her little sisters again.” Tan Kai said.
Shen Man frowned slightly and thought for a moment before laughing, “Shushu has a good relationship with those two girls. They don’t share the same classes, yet they always hang out together.”
“Those two,” Tan Kai smiled, “The girl named Yan Jie has a father who works as manager of Lin Shu’s father’s company. Uncle Lin was the one who got her into this school. As for Ding Qian, she was our high school classmate and usually quiet. I don’t know how she started hanging out with Lin Shu in college and running errands for her.”
After listening to this information and thinking of their respective personalities, Shen Man easily guessed the person who thought of this scheme. There is always an evil strategist around the villainess and in this case, Yan Jie is the one who plays this role.
Shen Man didn’t take Yan Jie seriously.
These little girls without real experience can only provoke simple classmates. For people like her who had seen the dirtiness and cruelty of human nature, it was just like a childish game.

Shen Man returns home and is changing into slippers. As she walked through the living room, she saw a table full of fruit, with a yellow and large durian in the center. It was very eye-catching, to say the least.
“Aunt He, why did you buy so many fruits?” Shen Man asked.
“Didn’t you put a lot of fruit in your schoolbag yesterday? You also asked me if there was durian, so I decided to buy more today for you.” Aunt He replied with a smile.
“…” The corners of Shen Man’s mouth twitched, she couldn’t tell her the truth. She smiled and said, “Shushu and I can’t eat so much. You should buy a normal amount next time.”
“Okay” Aunt He agreed. She then asks, “Do you want to eat durian right now?”
“No, the flavor is too strong. You can give it away, just… don’t eat it here.” Shen Man shook her head with a trace of resistance.
“Okay.” Aunt He was puzzled and began to clean up the table.
Shen Man carried her schoolbag to the balcony and took out the magazines, spreading them out.
Aunt He saw and immediately came over, “Go back to your room and rest. Leave this to me”
“I’m sorry for bothering you.” Shen Man nodded as she hung her bag and returns to her room

She closes the door.
Shen Man took out her textbooks from the cabinet and began to copy today’s notes into it. As soon as she finished copying, Aunt He had already finished making lunch.
“Manman, can you ask Miss Lin if she will be back for lunch?” Aunt He said.
Shen Man nodded and called Lin Shu with her phone.
Lin Shu immediately hung up the phone.
Shen Man put down her phone and said, “Shushu is probably busy. She won’t come back for lunch.”
“Okay, then I’ll serve the dishes.” After saying that, Aunt He turned around and went to the kitchen.
Shen Man had lunch alone, then sat on the sofa and watched TV leisurely.
There was a knock on the door.
Aunt He immediately said, “Miss Lin should be back. I’ll open the door.”
“No, I’ll open the door. You should check if the magazines on the balcony have dried.” Shen Man said as she got up. Aunt He nodded and walked towards the balcony.
As soon as Shen Man opened the door, she smelled the scent of coffee drifting off of Lin Shu’s body. She laughed as she turned around, “Shushu, you smell good. Did you invite your best friends to a meal again?”
She deliberately emphasized the word “best friends”.
Lin Shu paused and replied aggressively, “Mind your own business, I can invite whoever I like.”
After saying that, she gave a disdainful humph and changed into slippers.
Aunt He came over and said with a regretful face, “Manman, those magazines can’t be salvaged”
“What magazines?” interjected Lin Shu as she looked up with a frown.
Aunt He was shocked by her fierceness and subconsciously looked at Shen Man.
Shen Man smiled gently and stared at Lin Shu with burning eyes, “The magazines that I put in my schoolbag this morning. I don’t know which person without eyes got them soaked.”
Lin Shu felt violated by her gaze.
Her eyes burned with anger but meeting Shen Man’s eyes, it seemed to be doused with cold water and cooled off.
She hesitated a bit and finally told Aunt He, “They’re only a few magazines. If they’re useless, just throw them away.”
Aunt He didn’t dare to make a sound. She only nodded and went to the balcony to clean up the magazines.
There are only two people left in the hallway.
Lin Shu glared at Shen Man and walked past her holding her schoolbag. She stomped her feet, as if venting her pent up anger. Shen Man looked at her back and just chuckled.
Lin Shu returned to her room.
She threw her schoolbag on the table angrily and took out her phone to call Yan Jie. “I’m so angry right now! Shen Man, that stinky girl, actually knew our plan in advance! Today, she replaced her textbooks with my magazines!”
“What?!” Yan Jie shouted in surprise and a trace of nervousness flashed in her heart. She was afraid that Lin Shu would blame her for ruining those magazines. She hurriedly changed the topic and asked in doubt, “How did Shen Man know our plan?”
“Someone must have told her,” she replied with confidence.
Lin Shu suddenly thought of Ding Qian and frowned in thought, before saying, “Ding Qian doesn’t have the courage to tell her. Shen Man must have overheard our plan.”
“That must be the case. She is really cunning.” Yan Jie loudly agreed.
After complaining on the phone, Lin Shu was finally in a better mood.
As she hung up the phone, someone knocked on her door.
