Nemi could barely sleep during the night. As she spends that entire time thinking about the kiss that Julia gave her. As well as thinking about what she should wear for their date. Thanks to that, she ended up falling asleep roughly four hours before breakfast.
"Are you not feeling well? You don’t look good."
Nemi snapped out of her "spacing out" session. And immediately saw Julia looking at her worriedly. Nemi slapped her cheeks to wake herself up. then smiled at Julia.
"I am fine; I just couldn’t sleep."
"…If you say so."
Julia was clearly worried but decided not to press further. Instead, she refocused her attention on the items in front of her. Nemi felt her heart skip a beat as she saw Julia’s focused face. The morning sun reflecting off her silver hair gave her an aura of majesty. As well as an incredible beauty.
"Pretty."
Nemi felt herself falling in love with Julia again. Julia’s cherry lips drew her in. Nemi wanted nothing more than to claim them as hers. Nemi’s tired mind cleared with renewed vigor from a single look at Julia’s figure. We are on a date… a date. Nemi savored that single word as if it were a first-class delicacy, this moment was the one she had dreamed of ever since that evening a few months ago.
"Right? It looks good on you."
Nemi blinked. Julia’s sweet voice made her squeak with happiness. That alone made her feel like a little girl in a candy store. No, now is not the time. Nemi re-geared her brain and focused on the real world. In front of her was Julia’s smiling, slightly blushing face. She was holding a small mirror up for Nemi to look into. It was only then that Nemi noticed the beautiful hair ornament Julia had put in her hair.
It was a flower-shaped ornament decorated with pearls, and Nemi was rather captivated by it. She couldn’t find a better way to describe it other than beautiful. Or maybe it was just that Julia picked it, so she liked it just for that. In any case, she liked it, and that was all that mattered to her.
"In that case, here this will suit you."
Nemi had picked another accessory that closely resembled the one Julia had given her.
"How do I look? It isn’t weird, is it?"
Julia blushed and looked away from Nemi’s eyes. Nemi couldn’t help but stare. Julia was already a beauty without any competition (Nemi’s assessment). But the added hair ornament made of pearls further enhanced that immense beauty of hers.
"Don’t just stare at me and say something."
"Ah, sorry. It suits you."
Nemi stumbled, trying to form any sort of compliment she could as quickly as possible. Though she enjoyed seeing Julia’s troubled expression, she far more preferred her smiling face. her angel-like smile that a real angel would not hold a candle to it.
"I see…"
Julia blushed and looked away.
…
How did I end up here!? Julia screamed internally as she hid, or more specifically, attempted to hide, her embarrassed expression from her date, Nemi.
This is my what? Third life, and yet... and yet. Where is that harem that all reincarnates are supposed to get!? Julia complained as she recalled countless manga and novels where protagonists always got harems. While she was on her third run and had none. Why does the goddess hate me…
She lamented; sure, she had two girls that wanted her, but they didn’t seem open to the prospect of sharing her.
Sigh, no point in thinking about it. she sighed and smiled at Nemi. Who appeared to be completely mesmerized by the ornament that Julia picked.
"There should be a lovely cafe up ahead, shall we go?"
"Huh? Ah, yes."
Nemi took Julia’s extended hand and smiled sweetly. Julia gently squeezed Nemi’s hand, and they walked hand in hand through the street. Julia observed Nemi’s face, which had a warm smile spread across it. Thanks to this, Julia felt warmth enveloping her, even though it was rather chilly outside.
While they walked, Julia looked around, searching for the Cafe that she had heard about. However, she had no idea where exactly it was, she only knew it was somewhere around here. If I don’t find it soon, my first-ever date is going to be a failure…
Julia sighed silently, nervously glancing at her date, who in the meantime started to slowly cling to her, with a soft giggle. Well, she looks happy. Julia smiled and focused on looking for the cafe.
"Welcome ladies. a table for two, yes?"
"Yes."

"Please follow me."
After a few extra minutes of walking, Julia finally spotted what she was looking for. At the corner of two streets was located a luxury-looking café. Julia and Nemi entered, and a waitress greeted them. Then she led them to an empty seat.
"What can I bring you, ladies?"
"A cinnamon coffee and a vanilla cake."
"I will have the same."
After taking their orders, the waitress left them alone. A silence enveloped them. What the fuck am I supposed to say? Or should I just grab her hand and look into her eyes? Does that count as romantic? Julia felt herself sweating from nervousness, Nemi either didn’t notice or it was just Julia’s imagination.
To hell with my past self! Julia cursed herself. Combining her lives, she should have life experiences worth four centuries. However, most of her experiences with social interaction were with people bootlicking her in her previous life, or people insulting her in her life before that. She had, to her dismay, not a single experience with dating.
If I could at least consult my memory of Yuri manga… but it's been four hundred years since I saw one. True to be told, Julia did start to date the princess of the elves in this life, but that was before her confidence was swapped by the experiences of two previous lives.
"It’s a really nice place."
Like a gift from the heavens, Nemi began talking. Julia felt briefly as if an enormous boulder had fallen off her shoulders and used the opportunity to break the silence.
"Yes, it is. I asked around what would be a good place for a date, and everyone said that this would be a good place."
By everyone, she meant the cat-eared maid from the palace. But even as the complete opposite of the social butterfly, she knew that it would be an extremely bad idea to bring up another girl during a conversation while on a date.
"Though nothing is as nice as you."
Julia felt like she was an elephant trying to dance in a small room filled with Chinese porcelain. If she were to self-assess her flirting, she would give herself a negative rating and slam something on her head.
"No way. I look like a walking corpse. You look far better."
Contrary to what Julia thought was going to happen, Nemi blushed and complimented Julia back. Did it work? It worked, did it not? Then perhaps… Julia dug through her memory and found what she was looking for.
"You are tired because you were thinking about me, weren’t you? I call that love."
Julia gave Nemi the most seductive smile she could muster. Observing Nemi’s reaction told her that it had the intended effect. Nemi looked like a young maiden who had just fallen in love for the first time.
"And I think you deserve a reward."
Without waiting for Nemi to react, Julia leaned over the table and kissed Nemi. While surprised by the sudden kiss, Nemi quickly gave in and kissed Julia back. As the two kissed for a few minutes, Julia’s hand began to give up, and Julia ended up face-palming on the table. Or she would if Nemi didn’t hold her.
Julia savored their kiss, enjoying the feeling of warmth and love it brought her. As she enjoyed the moment, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the waitress from earlier standing nearby with their order.
"Let’s continue later."
"Yea."
Julia sat back in her seat properly while the waitress placed their coffee and cakes on the table.
"Please enjoy."
The waitress bowed slightly and walked away. Julia added sugar to her coffee and took a sip. Ahh, how I missed the taste of coffee. She smiled. It's been a long time since she last drank coffee.
"Say, ah."
As Julia was about to taste the cake. She saw Nemi holding up a fork with a piece of her cake for Julia with a blush. Julia smiled and brushed aside her silver hair. Letting Nemi feed her.
"Tasty?"
"Yes."
Julia nodded. Though she wasn’t able to focus on the cake at all. All her focus was on Nemi. Julia had to wonder if she had ever seen her look so happy before.
