Same time as the end of the last chapter...
Port City Amyllyr. Above a private yacht
This unsuspecting boat was currently being circled by a group of sharks. This group of sharks comprised of 10 succubi, all armed with multiple guns. They were being led by Kira, and this was the first time she was leading an operation.
The large boat sailed in the water and had 3 large masts. They claimed it was a yacht, but this thing was the size of most cruise ships. Most of the guards were concentrated on the deck, and there were only 30 or 40 of them. Between the crew, the guards, and the guests it was about 120 people. Since they had only brought 10 guns each it meant they would need to get their hands dirty with some of it.
The lookout on the crow's nest was a young elf who looked like he just became a sailor. The succubi were using the cover of night to stalk this individual. Using a gun now would be a bad idea, as the sound would alert others. This drawback of guns upset Kira, but Rex told her it could be fixed with the new guns they would make.
Rex said you could use round plates of rubber and wire mesh to make silent guns. Kira wasn't sure how, but she believed it was possible.
Looking at the lookout who was just watching the deck under him, Kira decided that it was her turn as the leader. On her back was a bundle that held all of her guns, they were loaded with paper cartridges. Rex had said that people in his world carried knives to attach to their guns, Kira thought that was stupid.
Knives?! Seriously? Reaching into her bundle, she pulled out a tomahawk! Why should Kira make her sisters use knives? She let them take whatever cold weapons they would like, they had so many after all.
Gripping the ax, she moved above the lookout and tucked in her wings. Kira didn't close them completely as she just wanted to pass over him.
As she approached the lookout she gripped the tomahawk with both hands, then released it in a mighty underhand throw as she got close. This was a maneuver she had practiced many times as an aspiring succubus warrior!
The ax made 2 turns as it spun in the air, causing the lookout to turn towards his doom.
Splat!
Kira's ax connected solidly with the elf's face, and the power of the throw combined with her flight. That elf was very dead as the ax head buried deep into his skull. Kira had always liked axes since she saw Rex's ax for the first time. It was also one of the first things the two had made together.
Kira extended her wings to slow and grabbed the falling dead body. It was a very awkward landing for Kira as she tackled the corpse into the large bucket-shaped crow's nest. Kira was forced to fight with the corpse to keep it from falling on the deck, while not falling herself as she got her balance. Having her tail helped, as it gave her another arm to grip against the edge of the crow's nest.
Slowly pulling and positioning herself she extricated herself from the corpse and stood in the crow's nest. She collected her ax and felt a sense of pride at spilling her first blood as a succubus warrior. Succubi were very predatory creatures and didn't get a sense of revulsion from killing as social creatures did.
Most elves were casters, currently, Dora was eating the guests in the hold. Kira had been watching Dora through the floor going room by room. These sleeping female elves were like an all-you-can-eat buffet for her. Kira could see the massive amount of life force in Dora's body and had to think that she must be a very happy succubus right now.
And Kira would be right, Dora thought the changes happening to the succubi were amazing. She was so happy right now, she felt drunk on all the life force as she stumbled from room to room with a giant grin on her pretty elf face. She had gotten to eat so many annoying people! She was slowly making her way to the quarters of the annoying brother and sister with a sinister gleam in her eyes.
Kira's sisters assembled on the rigging that attached to the mast. The next part of the plan was really simple. Each of the succubi pulled out a metal jar and began unscrewing the lid, a thick layer of rubber kept the jars sealed from the air. Once exposed the white phosphorous, and various other chemicals began to burn and issued very thick smoke.
The fire was trapped within the jars, as the compound was trapped under a wire mesh. The succubi all dropped these metal jars onto the decks. This smoke was very poisonous, and any survivors who jumped ship would die before they made it to shore. White phosphorous by itself was very toxic when it burned, but the retardants he added to allow it to burn slower was also toxic.
The smoke was just to set the stage for the succubi, however, as they could still charm targets through it. It wasn't solid enough to block the magical waves released from their bodies. The succubi could also see mana, so the smoke wasn't nearly as effective towards them.
“FIRE!” one of the guards yelled as a thick heavy wall of black smoke began to spread through the ship.
White phosphorous was a banned chemical on earth, it had to be diluted to a certain level to use. It was still irreplaceable in smoke grenades. A few grams of the waxy substance would produce enough smoke to completely obscure everything in a 3 bedroom house. The reason it was banned was due to the way it poisons the body, it has no known cure.
One of the guards stumbled towards the smoke but he couldn't see anything in the center. He had a bucket of water, but he had no idea where to aim at.
Cough, Cough, Cough!
This sound began to fill the deck of the large wooden ship as the thick smoke spread. Soon a transformation gripped the guards as they began to rush through the smoke. They all knew that on the other side of this thick smoke was the most beautiful woman they would ever see in their lives. These elven men began physically fighting each other to get to the end of the boat.
As soon as the 20 guards passed through the thick smoke they saw them. 9 beautiful pale women with horns and wings. They all held a gun in each hand and had formed a loose circle with a large pile of guns between them. They had burlap wrap around their chests, and shorts made of the material. Various weapons like swords, axes, spears, maces, and picks were all in easy reach.
A little girl stood proudly at the lead of the 9 succubi, but the guards didn't give a shit about her. She was too young to have the charm, after all, so she was air to them. The succubi immediately opened fire on the guards.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
They had trained carefully for this day, and their shots up close were very accurate. This ship was just too perfect to pass up, and Dora could help from within. Guests had started stumbling into the smoke-filled halls in the darkness. Panic was starting to spread inside the ship, the thick chemical-filled smoke and gunshots had woken the guests.
“There's a fire! Burp!” A lazy female elven voice called from within the ship.
The many elven ladies began to scream, as Dora had just finished eating the annoying male.
Kira aimed her gun at a charging guard and pulled the trigger, a thick stream of smoke and fire launched out of the pistol in her hand. It was based on the Tonfa gun that Rex had made, but these had a proper pistol grip. The bullet hit the elf's chest and barely penetrated deep enough to kill, Rex would be shocked to see this.
These elves were mostly casters, or lightly did melee training, but the mana they naturally possessed made them sturdier than humans. While the succubi were able to kill the damage wasn't as extensive as to be expected. Kira tossed the spent pistol away and used her tail to grab one from the pile, maneuvering it to her hand.
This was a trick every succubus was expected to learn, they set a pile to their back and had to move 10 guns in a minute without looking at them once. Kira felt like she did a splendid job with their training, and they quickly dispatched the guards.
Looking at all the used guns in a pile, Kira was sad to see they used a little under half on the 30 guards. Rex was right when he said these guns were quite shitty. As the guests and crew started to come onto the deck, Kira put on a grim look as she watched it all.
Rex didn't know that he would later come to regret ever letting her lead these kinds of missions. A group of succubi surrounded by their enemies, with a pile of firearms. Thick poisonous smog, and only their skills and charm to rely on. This is what every hot-blooded young succubus would crave in the future! Rex would want to tear out his precious hair as they got older and older together.

Succubus Homeland, Rex's Lab
Rex was currently in his lab burning the midnight oils. Rex was having issues sleeping with Kira being gone, it was the longest she had been away. If all went well she would be back within 3 days though. Rex was currently working on an enchanting blueprint. Normally Kira did all of these as she was better than him at it.
Rex's equations could determine the final form of any mana frequency, these were the forms of mana that would be able to produce some kind of effect. The issue they ran into was that they had no idea what. The most common occurrence was a violent release of energy, usually an elemental explosion. This meant the experimentation was incredibly slow and had to be done in a controlled way.
This was a light-emitting enchantment that Kira had created. The problem was a material one that Rex was working on solving. The new addition to his lab was a dark elven succubus who was starring in a corner. This was to protect Kera's eyes as Rex was experimenting with mana again.
“This mercury is incredible, it holds mana way better than water!” Rex muttered as he stared at a thick glass ball in front of him.
Inside was a silvery fluid that was floating in the glass. They had killed hundreds of sharks, and Rex had extracted all of that mana. From the water, he then put it into salt, then transformed it into sodium. He then used the mercury and sodium to make amalgam and re-extracted the mercury. He had lost a small amount of the mana, but Rex was convinced he and Kira could solve this. She wasn't nearly as picky about her eyes as Kera was.
The glass orb the mercury was in was suspended on a metal frame that held it in place. This fame was connected to springs that kept it suspended in a small closet. Rex was certain this mercury possessed as much power as a nuclear bomb. It vibrated constantly in the glass, causing the springs to shake. This was a very sturdy glass over an inch thick.
Rex knew it was dangerous, but he just couldn't help himself. This was just like when he was a kid making C4 in his father's garage with his friends!
Rex took out a type of turkey baster he made and quickly opened the top of the glass, extracting a few drops of mercury. This turkey baster was leaded glass, and very sturdy. It was difficult to see through, but he just needed to see how much he had.
Moving the turkey baster was hard, as the liquid physically fought against his hand. It felt like something was holding the instrument and pulling it in random directions. Sealing the glass orb back up, Rex made his way to his workshop table. It was a grueling 5 steps as he fought with the trapped mercury.
On his table in a glass open tub was a bunch of powdered silver. Rex sat at his stool as he struggled to drag the baster above the powder, burying the nozzle in it.
Right now Rex was calming his nerves for what was to come. The sodium reaction with the mercury had been incredible and destroyed the tub it was in. It had formed a type of charred black metal that was fairly brittle. But the mercury had been drawn to it like a magnet when it was released, and it caused all kinds of different lights. Rex collected his nerves and squeezed the rubber top, forcing the mercury into the silver.
The reaction caused a spectrum of lights to flash brightly through the glass, and Rex was quickly forced to retreat. The intense heat was coming from his workshop table, as the water in the wood began to burn.
“What the hell is going on?!” Rex muttered as he watched.
The silver was being sucked into the middle of the glass where the mercury had been deposited. It looked like a small planet-forming as it issued a brilliant radiance that threw multicolored lights on every corner of the lab.
Kera's wings came out, as she became increasingly agitated by what was happening behind her. It was obvious she was going through a mental crisis as she tried to decide if she wanted to look back and blind herself.
A large ball was formed as the silver fully collected and the heat continued to increase in the lab. Soon though the lights dimmed down as the ball of silver began to stabilize. It also began to slowly cool, revealing the bright metal underneath the haze.
“Huh? So that is how it works!” Rex muttered to himself happily as a brilliant smile spread over his face.

Right now 10 succubi were celebrating their victory as they stood surrounded by the corpses of their enemies, Dora had also joined them to celebrate. Right now the boat was calmly floating along as a little succubus began to realize Rex and she had overlooked something very, very important.
“We have captured this ship for the succubi, isn't this wonderful sisters?!” One of the succubi cheered.
Kira looked at the cheering succubi with a look of disdain on her little face, not one of them had realized the problem yet. Looking up at the ropes and all of the complex rigging, she began to draw a blank.
Right now the boat was just sailing along the waters without a pilot or crew, just a group of clueless succubi. Rex and Kira completely overlooked this problem. This ship did not have a steering wheel or any of the systems Rex was used to, you needed mana to pilot this ship. Kira had no way to interface with this system as she was a succubus.
Kira looked at her sisters who were still celebrating their victory, and she began to feel Rex's pain.

Succubus Homeland, Rex's Lab
Rex was messing with the large ball of silver he had created, he was convinced this was truesilver. It had an unnatural sheen that seemed to come from the mana that it was fed. Kera had also confirmed it was highly magical, but it seemed to lose a fair amount of this mana.
Rex wanted his attendant back, as she was much more helpful than her mother. Kera wasn't even the least bit interested in any of this, but this experiment answered all kinds of questions Rex had, had. He now knew the source of magic metals, and now he just needed to experiment with ratios. The high elves had probably done a stupidly wasteful thing, like using magic stones raw to make magic metals.
The elves had lost most of this technology as they were only the high elves' slaves. The high elves didn't trust them with anything of real importance. The high elves only saw them as their deformed offspring. This also confirmed a fear of Rex's as the high elves were a very advanced society.
Just what were they running from?
Looking at the silver ball in his hands that weighed about 2 pounds, he realized that this world was much bigger than he might have ever thought.
Kira will be back in 3 days as long as everything works out okay!
Currently, Rex was building the shittiest dock he had seen in his life. It was soft logs from all the trees they had felled held together by chains. To make the dock stable they used anchors and chains to secure it into the ground. Rex wanted to drown himself every time he saw them adding logs to this abomination.

2 days later...
Port City Amyllyr. On a private yacht
Kira had worked very hard 2 days ago and figured out how to lower the anchor, they had no way to do anything with the sails. Kira had desperately called in reinforcements to ask all of the prisoners if any of them knew how to sail a boat. She was now looking at her savior.
“You don't need to worry, You count on Bear to get you to island!” The bear said as it walked on all fours across the deck.
A large hole was in the center of the deck from when the succubi struggled to get this passenger on board. If the bear stood up straight he would break the wooden boards. Walking by the bear's side was a little elven girl, she would be their pilot.
For some reason Kira really didn't like this elf, she was unpleasant to Kira's eye. The more Kira looked at her the uglier she became, Kira was very happy when the bear led her to the bridge.
As the bear and the little girl entered the bridge the bear looked around and took a few deep sniffs at the air to make sure they were alone. The bear led the girl to what looked like an ornate glass ball.
“Alright little girl, Bear has no idea how to use glass ball. It is up to you to get Bear to new home! Bear has carelessly carried you for days on Bear's back, now it is your turn little girl!” The bear encouraged her, as he pushed Welch towards the glass ball larger than her.
Welch looked at the glass ball and saw all kinds of elven characters carved into it, but it was too fuzzy for her to read. She ran her fingers over the glass, but it had been filled in by something. Welch had a feeling of dread as her long pointed ears began to droop.
“Bear, can you read?” She asked in barely a mumble, her face went bright red.
The big white bear turned to her with a shocked look on his furry face.
“Do you think Bear too stupid to read?!” The bear was very angry, he spoke three different languages and could read two. How dare this little girl insult his intelligence!
The bear walked up to her with a huff, the floorboards groaning under his weight.
“It's fine to be dumb, Bear teach you to read.” The bear said proudly as he began going over the orb, reading her the different words.
While his pronunciation was a bit strange due to his accent, the bear went over everything easily. Welch could feel her temper rising as the bear continued giving her condescending looks as he explained the different words.
I can read dammit! I just can't see it properly...

Meanwhile...
Succubus Homeland, Rex's Lab
Rex was standing in the middle of his lab, he was holding a silver orb in his hand that was covered in intricate carvings. This was the light enchantment Kira had designed.
“She made a mistake!” Rex said as he continued to stand carefully in the middle of the room.
Rex had carefully carved in every bit of the runes into the silver ball, this would make the entire thing glow when it was powered. Regular silver hadn't been good enough to conduct mana, and couldn't produce light. It had to be insanely reflective of a material, and carry a dense amount of mana in it. Rex had made this material as a test and added the enchantment. Then added a bit of mana as fuel, the intensity was extreme, and it used everything at once.
“I can't fucking see a damn thing!” Rex said desperately as he turned his head around the room pointlessly.
It had been over a minute, and his eyes were still watering heavily. All he could see was white!
“Kera!” Rex yelled to the empty chair in the corner.
Kera had also had her eyes burned, but not as bad as Rex. Right now she was outside with her head in a pool of water, as she washed out her eyes. She was cursing Rex with everything she had, but it just came up as bubbles underwater.
Realizing no one was coming to his aid Rex could only mutter to himself in the empty room.
“Kira is too aggressive! It even comes out in her enchanting! My eyes burn so bad right now!” Rex said as the tears continued to flow from his eyes.
Hopefully, in a few more minutes he would start to be able to see, then he could run from Kera. He felt like this would be very similar to when he blew up her house...
“She is going to slap the shit out of me again if I don't get out of here soon!” Rex mumbled in fear.

1 day later...
Open waters. On a private yacht
Kira was so proud that she had found a way to make everything. Right now she was standing on the crow's nest with a smile from ear to ear. Looking at the large hole on the deck that was patched with loose boards and tarp, Kira could just claim it was a storm. Kira would also say it was this same storm that delayed her a few days...
She would protect Rex from the embarrassment he would face if he realized they had overlooked something so important. They were just children after all, but now a new issue had arisen they had overlooked. To get the slaves onto the ship they were going to have to swim, there just wasn't any other way.
Food and water weren't a problem since the ship was loaded with goods, and her sisters would be bringing more supplies every day. They would also be able to help the prisoners reach the island. Since Rex was unable to come up with a precise navigation method, he could only rely on succubus power. Rex's expertise was not in nautical engineering after all.
Rex only knew of a sextant and a compass, as the only ways to navigate mechanically at sea. Neither of these devices worked, this left Rex at a loss. As the planet didn't have a stable rotation as it didn't have a magnetic field, you couldn't use the sun to navigate either. Rex was at a serious loss for how to solve this issue.
Kira's job was just to get the slaves onto the ship, she should have been heading back to her sweet home two days ago. Her mood was growing increasingly foul, the only intelligent person she had to talk to for the last 2 days was the bear! She began to realize how spoiled she had gotten always being around Rex, he was the only one who could fill her growing curiosity.
Kira had instead focused a lot of her attention on bragging to the annoying elf just how awesome her fiance was. Kira had removed the slave collars from the two of them. They were crude devices that were heavy metal collars, they were child's play to the little girl. She puffed out her flat chest in pride as she stripped the two collars apart, and gloated haughtily at the elf.
Only a few more hours, and then I can leave!
She had told herself this thought over and over again.
“Little horned girl, you make really good necklace! Let me sing you song to express gratitude! My mother sing me this song ever since I was little cub!”
The bear opened his large maw and began to growl and roar, it sounded like a saw chewing through wood. This bear had been doing this constantly. Kira looked at the sky where her sisters were looking down at the ship in disdain, how she envied her sisters right now...
