Yernia’s words sounded heartless in this situation.

“What about the hill?” Cassian responded, still looking forward.

She guessed he finally had the heart to talk to her.

Yena cheered inside.

“You do like hills, don’t you?  Shall we open a bottle of wine there?”

“Do I like hills?”

She still remembered the day the shooting star fell, and she wished upon it.

The hill used to be Cassian and Yernia’s hideout.

Located in a remote area at the Cilliard mansion, the hill is where Yernia and Cassian felt freest from anyone’s interference.

“You pretended as if you don’t understand what I mean. I know everything.”

“You like it.”

“Yes, I like it. You like it, too.”

Cassian’s lips pursed in a tight line.

He refused to look at her earlier and focused on what was in front of him, but now, his chin slowly turned towards Yernia.

The sun shone on Cassian’s side profile as the flowers bloomed behind him.

Deep sea-blue eyes met Yernia’s.

Suddenly, the wind blew over Yena’s forehead.

“Yes, I like it, too.”

Cassian laughed low, and she thought it was the wind.

Goosebumps broke out of her skin, and she gently rubbed her forehead with her hand.

“I think you are feeling a little better.”

Yernia noticed Cassian sighing with relief.

She thought this was better than not knowing whether or not she had made things worse.

That’s not what’s important.

“I made a promise, so relax.”

“Did you think I was angry?”

“Yes, your eyes narrowed like this.”

Yernia squinted while imitating Cassian.

Finding her too cute, he smiled.

“We shall continue with the exchange of rings.”

Yernia missed the opportunity to say ‘let’s go back’ and leave the wedding ceremony altogether, so she had no choice but to look straight ahead.

Daisy and the previously grim senior were now seen smiling as if they were in a better mood than before.

As they stood there, facing each other,  Cassian’s and her image overlapped with theirs.

In an instant, Yernia’s reality changed.

Suddenly, Yernia was standing on the aisle where Daisy stood.

A pure white wedding gown replaced the sky blue dress she had worn for Daisy’s wedding.

In front of her–

“Yernia.”

Dressed in the groom’s robes, Cassian held Yernia’s hand and gave her an awkward smile.

As soon as he put the ring on her thin finger slowly—

“Daisy, I can’t get married!”

Yernia’s delusions were shattered and broken, and then reality appeared.

Now, Daisy stood there in Yernia’s imaginary position while the senior stood where Cassian was earlier.

She had no time to be relieved.

“Senior! What do you mean?”

Daisy stared at his senior in disbelief.

The senior was about to put a ring on Daisy, but he immediately snapped his hand behind his back.

The ring he missed rolled on the aisle.

In an instant, the quiet ceremony erupted into noise.

“I have someone I love. I’m sorry. I chose you because I wanted to forget her!”

“You crazy bastard.” Yernia cursed.

Yena immediately realized that the  “person whom this crazy senior loved” had meant her.

Aside from the fact that he secretly flirted with Yernia in the waiting room, Cassian had fixed his gaze on her.

“Senior, don’t do this!”

“I’m not getting married! I can’t do it!”

The groom abandoned the bride and left the aisle.

He ran towards Yernia, who stood at the end of the aisle.

Naturally, the guests’ attention alternated between Yena and her senior.

Yena turned her back and tried to run away.

“Cassian, let go of me. I want to go.”

Cassian would not let go of her hand.

Cassian smiled when the man tried to run their way.

He bent his head to whisper into Yernia’s ear.

His breath touched her neck and ears that it sent tingles down her spine.

“This is fun. Let’s see what you are capable of.”

She had no idea what made Cassian think that being dragged into such a dirty scandal would be fun.

Yernia hated being involved with the crazy senior.

She found him as disgusting as a gum she had chewed and spat out.

Her pride wouldn’t allow it.

“I want to go.”

“If you leave, things will get worse.”

Still, the senior walked towards Yernia while Daisy sobbed loudly in the background.

It was a complete mess.

“That senior will hold my hand soon and confess.”

This will be an open confession in front of everyone.

She had received it from him a few times when she attended the academy.

He will use this situation to his advantage, thinking that she didn’t have the guts to reject him.

She would be insane if she accepted her senior’s confession. But if she wrapped this up well, she would hear people say that she had miraculously met her first love.

But what if she wouldn’t accept it?

He had given up his marriage and his reputation.

Why wouldn’t she accept him?

How handsome was he?

Even if his nose bridge was high, it’s too high for her standards.

She was confident she would hear things like this.

Whatever he chose to do, Yernia couldn’t avoid the criticisms aimed towards her.

It was wise to run away before that.

“Cassian, no matter how much you want to tease me, this is wrong.”

“You’ll have fun, too.”

“You crazy Kashan.  My precious Kashan.”

Kashan was a nickname Yernia had created for him.

Yernia was the only one who could call him that, and Yernia only used that nickname she had for him when she felt like it.

“Kashan.”

To be exact, it was when she had a favor to ask of him.

“Let go of my hand.”

Huh?

He watched Yernia’s troubled face, and she noticed that the corners of his mouth twisted into a relaxed smile.

“Do you think I would  put you in trouble?”
