After checking in with the chef, she realized Cassian was also right.

At first, the chef refused to talk but he suddenly burst into tears. Yernia comforted him a few times.

Even after the meal, he seemed to have suffered quite a lot from Cassian that he couldn’t stop crying.

Yernia brought medicine and bandages and soothed the chef roughly.

“Cassian, are you bored these days?”

Cassian was reading a book in his room.

The book he was looking at seriously,  with one arm on the armrest, seemed to be a cookbook.

Yernia felt a little strange.

She didn’t know that there was something pretty cute about Cassian.

“I’m busy.”

“You’re just reading a cookbook, Cassian.”

“I’m thinking about getting a hobby.”

Cassian wasn’t surprised she was there but he seemed rather imposing.

Why was he hiding it, anyway?

Well, she had already seen it all so it was rather weird to hide it.

Yernia sat next to Cassian to examine his hand.

He was reading a cookbook without even treating his wound.

“What’s wrong with your hands, Cassian?”

For a moment, she thought about telling him that she knew Cassian had cooked their food earlier, but Yernia decided not to.

If Cassian wanted to tell her,  then he‘d just say it.

Maybe it’s because he was shy about it that he felt the need to hide it.

“What’s wrong with my hands? Oh.”

It seemed like he just discovered the wound only then.

“Are you an idiot? Why don’t you know about this?”

“I didn’t know because I was distracted.”

Was it due to her food assessment?

He shouldn’t mind it.

Yernia worked hard in her hobby once and she didn’t even know that she got hurt because of it.

She sighed and grabbed Cassian’s hand.

He was surprised at the sudden contact.

As she plucked the ointment with her forefinger, Yernia’s mischievous heart flared up.

She wanted to tease him.

She wanted to tease him.

It was a great opportunity to make fun of Cassian.

“When did you see the wounds in my hands? I thought you weren’t interested in me at all.”

“Aren’t you supposed to see them the moment you brought the food yourself? I saw them right away, Cassian.”

Food must have filled Cassian’s head.

The chef complained tearfully how he had suffered from Cassian all day, and it totally made sense considering the cookbook in the Marquis’ hand.

“You can do whatever you want but you have to take care of your body, Cassian. Your hands are all damaged.”

Cassian’s hands looked like soldiers’ hands, rough and full of calluses, but could still say his thick-jointed hands were quite hot

“Do you like guys with pretty hands?”

“Is there any woman who doesn’t like it?”

“Perhaps, I could have them if I was born again.”

“Why? Your hands are pretty, Cassian.” Yernia added indifferently as she attached little bandages close to his fingertips.

“You think these are pretty?”

With his large hands resting on Yernia’s palms, Cassian frowned.

It was the first time he ever heard someone say that his hands were pretty.

“Well, That’s what I see.”

“Hahahaha.”

Cassian didn’t know how to respond to that so he laughed instead.

Yernia wondered what was wrong with him.

When she peeked at his handsome face, he appeared somewhat relieved.

Cassian must have been so happy to hear that his hands were pretty.

He nodded as he stared at his bandaged hand with a smile.

“I had no idea that the compliment would make me feel so happy.”

“Really? Do you want me to give you more?”

“Yes. I want to receive such praise every day. Any other pretty parts of me that caught your eye?”

Cassian’s recent behavior surprised her these days.

She had no idea that Cassian liked the word pretty…until now.

As Cassian’s childhood friend, she knew that he did have a lot of different interests but as she continued observing his behavior these days, it appeared like Yernia still had quite a few things she didn’t know about him.

She racked her brain for other pretty things she noticed about Cassian but unfortunately, she had nothing else to mention.

First, she found it hard to find something pretty about him when he was this handsome.

If she thought about it, his hands were handsome.

Not pretty.

“Eyes!”

“My eyes?” Cassian rubbed at his own eyes and even scratched his eyebrows, for good measure. “You don’t like my eyes.”

“Why do you think I don’t like them? I think they’re pretty, Cassian.”

“You did say that my eyes scared you in the past.”

“Oh, they do seem scary but I don’t hate them. Your eyes are as pretty as the night sky.”

Cassian’s ears had turned red from listening to the praises she sang.

It turned out that the man wasn’t that immune to them.

Finding him adorable, Yernia laughed inwardly as he held Cassian’s hand.

She must wrap up this ‘compliment time’ over here.

“Let’s guide now.”

Cassian didn’t reject her offer.

It felt great that they could still keep their promises on the first day of marriage.
