Chapter 8 [Capturing the Dungeon and Tet’s Family?]
Although the enemies became powerful each level you go down in the dungeon, it wasn’t that hard a fight at all.
On the last floor, Tet and I leveled quite a bit and took a safe margin, so although we were going slowly, we were progressing all right.
Also on each floor, I would prepare a safety zone ahead of time and since I have my [Creation Magic] and the clay golem Tet who can lookout for me without resting, I had almost no worries about exploration difficulties such as food storages or surprise attacks.
Only, I encountered an orc wizard the moment I stormed into the 3rd floor, I was flustered when its magic cut Tet in half.
“Tet!”
“Go, go-gon……”
Due to the enemy’s magic, Tet’s core was damaged, and it suspended its own function.
At that moment, I used more than enough mana to rapidly fire an extra-large wind cuter, and I remembered that the group of orcs that appeared were cut into round slices.
After that, I searched for Tet’s core within the crumbling clay, and used the magic gem of the orc I just defeated to repair Tet.
I found out for the first time that when you press the magic gem against the golem core, it liquefied instantly, and the broken core reconnects.
Then, I noticed that the golem core that I created that had a capacity of 1500 mana now has a capacity of 6000 mana. I was surprised that it surpassed my maximum mana.
The size itself is around twice as large as when I created it, but the magic gem’s density was thick.
Thus, Tet’s large crisis of being deserted was overcome somehow like this. The next time we encounter a magician-type enemy, I decided it would be the maximum priority to defeat.
Thus, currently—-we arrived at the deepest part of the dungeon we found, the 5th floor.
“Tet, many things happened up until now, didn’t they?”
“Gon!”
“I obtained new equipment, and Tet obtained new equipment.”
“Gon!”
The items that I obtained through the dungeon’s treasure chests varied.
I had jewelry made from gold and silver gems, weapons, armor, and magic tools.
Especially the monocle to appraise items. It’s convenient to sort out the items I obtain with it.
There also was a magic bag that I could not create with my large amounts of mana that I used to store items.
Although I was getting by with the waist pouch magic bag that I received when I reincarnated, the capacity of the new magic bag was greater, so managing my luggage has become considerably easier.
The pouch-type that I obtained since the beginning had a small capacity, but it had a time delaying effect.
On the contrary, the magic bag that I found in the dungeon has the capacity of a truck, but the passage of time inside was normal, so if I use each one for different purposes depending on the item, traveling from now on will become easier.
Also, Tet found a superior sword than the one that I created. Plus, Tet received a shield that has high magical defense.
Thanks to this shield, Tet no longer took fatal damage from sudden magical attacks.
Additionally, by using a skill orb that I created in the dungeon’s safety zone on Tet, Tet learned level 1 of both [Sword Arts] and [Shield Arts], so Tet’s movements have improved noticeably.
“We’ve become stronger, haven’t we?”
“Gon.”
Well, I don’t actually feel like I’ve become much stronger. Tet deals with most of it after all.
“I want to bathe in the sun’s light soon, so let’s defeat the boss and go back.”
“Gon!”
As we said that, Tet and I stepped into the boss room.
Then, what was waiting for us in the boss room was a huge rock golem.
It’s height was three times ours, and it’s mass probably easily exceeds us by a ton.
“Tet’s family?”
As I tilted my head to the side, Tet shook its head, and it brought about an unpleasant atmosphere.
Perhaps, it was reluctant to be treated as the same family.
“Goooooon!”
The boss stone golem’s yell resounded, and overpoweringly came this way.
“Tet, protect me! —-<<Fireball>>!”
As a result of my hypothesis that the boss fight was going to be in a large room, I used a high powered fire magic without reservation.
Furthermore, I raised my level, mana, and skill of my origin magic through the fights coming down up until this floor.
Under my perception, I was supposed to have paired up with my companion Tet in a party.
However, under the perception of this world, the golem Tet was a tool.
As a result of me being a human being and Tet being a tool to defeat monsters, those experience points were collected by me alone.
“The me right now can at least do this!”
The fireball that I brought forth was half the size of the original fireball.
However, the color of the flame was not red, but a blueish-white high temperature blaze.
Then, the flame that I fired off hit the arm of the golem and didn’t explode, but melted into the rock body, pierced into it, and hit the wall of rock behind it.
“Tet!”
“Gon!”
The rock golem lifted its reminaning arm, and swung downwards at Tet with its heavy rock arm.
In response to that, Tet stopped the blow with the shield held in both hands.
Dispersing the impact with the shield, Tet transmitted the impact on the clay body to the ground and got away.
Tet was pushed back by the impact that hit, but even so, Tet was able to defend against the rock golem’s attack.
“2nd shot, —-fire!”
The second blue fireball hit, this time it pierced the golem’s leg and destroyed it.
With its body’s balance being destroyed, the golem struggled and approached me crawling with a single pair of arm and leg.
“Tet, back off. 3rd shot—- fire!”
I waved my staff and the third and forth fireball melted into its remaining legs and arm and blew it off, making it unable to move.
However, even so, the enemy was a golem.
As long as it has mana and raw materials, it can regenerate.
“Tet, around which area is the enemy’s core?”
“Gon.”
Tet drew a human shape on the floor, and informed me that it was around what humans called throat and chest.
“Okay. Then, let’s chip off all the other places. —-<<Wind Cutter>>!”
A highly compressed wind blade fell from above like a guillotine, and chopped the golem’s body.
However, I wonder if it’s because the steam power fell a bit compared to fire magic, but it could only shave off little by little.
Even so, with my more than enough mana, I hurled off my countless number of magic to cut its head, scraped off the top of the shoulder that began to regenerate, and divided it into parts from the waist.
“Alright, Tet, it’s good to go!”
“Gon!”
Tet started running towards the golem’s body as if Tet was waiting for me to say so.
Then, Tet began to shave off the rock golem’s body that wasn’t able to move not with the current good, sharp sword, but with the blunt sword that I handed over to Tet in the beginning.
As a result of losing so many body parts, the rock golem couldn’t move around.
The golem’s core regenerated the parts using the magic it saved up, restored itself with mana using some sort of method, and started to move once again.
However, even if humans didn’t intervene, it’d probably take one or two months.
Meanwhile, Tet found the core within the golem’s body at last, drove it’s sword into the core and destroyed it.
At that moment, the boss golem’s body disappeared, and magic gems that became a core remained at that spot.
“Gon!”1
“Tet, you can eat it!”
There was only one boss in the dungeon and the fragments of the large golem core were scattered about, Tet gathered all of it.
Then, Tet seriously ate them one by one with an absentminded mood as if the gathered bits of the golem core were candy.
“Well then, now I’ve captured the dungeon. What’s left is—-”
With the dungeon’s boss being defeated, a pedestal containing a large sphere-shaped magic gem appeared in the middle of the dungeon room.
“Gon.”
In front of the excessively large dungeon magic gem, Tet confused it for a golem’s core, became attracted, and pulled on my clothes’ sleeves.
“Tet, do you want that?”
“Gon, gon……”
As if saying ‘of course’, I had a bitter smile on my face.
“Even though we’re going to human habitations from now on, rather than keeping the dungeon core that seems like a source of trouble, it’d be better for Tet to absorb it. If that’s the case, it’s fine to take it.”
When I gave permission, Tet reached out to the dungeon core.
However, rather than breaking it and taking it in like the golem’s core, mud spilled up from Tet’s body, wrapped up the dungeon’s magic gem, completely sank into the Tet’s body, and absorbed it.
“Eh… that scene was a bit… unexpected.”
Then, the moment the dungeon stopped functioning, a transfer magic formation began to shine at our feet, and I became flustered.
“Forced transfer was also unexpected! Wait a—-!”
Thus, I lost consciousness due to the shock of the transfer and fell into a deep sleep.
