As Roan Ludwer was being lead to his new office within the Academy,  students are getting ready to wake up for a new day in the Academy.

Outside, clerks for stores built in the Academy open up their shops & booths, while professors working for the Academy agonize over their  work. (Because everyone in this fucking country is overworked)

In a certain window, within the boys' dormitory, a young boy wakes up due to the sunlight reflecting strongly between the curtains.

The boy, who wrapped himself up with a white blanket issued by the Academy the week before, shivered as the cold morning air met his skin.

With a moment of realization, the boy wakes up and gets ready for classes, like most students.

The boy, wearing his uniform, walks out of his decently sized dorm, and prepares for the start of his 2nd week of his 2nd year in the Academy.

As the boy hums his way through the campus into his 1st class that starts in 50 minutes, he once again stare at the beautiful architecture and sheer size of the academic facilities available.

Some students stared at the boy, as he was humming loudly; but then nodded their head as the boy was handsome.

The perfection of the art of morning humming is a good-looking face.

If you're handsome, you can do anything with confidence.

"Edward!"

The humming boy, known as Edward, reacted to the shout and turned around.

As he checked who called him, he smiled.

"Elise."

"Good morning!"

"Good morning."

Edward, was a normal, handsome, boy.

Edward, with a aura that attracts everyone, had a childhood friend.

In this case, the childhood friend was called "Elise von Buche".

While Edward was very outgoing, his childhood friend, Elise, was so even more.

Like most friends, they started talking, while going to class.

They both had Political Science.

As Edward kept walking to class, more people joined Elise & Edward.

Edward knew all these people.

2 became 3, 3 became 4, and 4 became 5.

A group of 5 has been created, and Edward was the center of attention of it.

And for your information, the ratio of boy to girl was 1:4 in the group.

Meaning that Edward was the only boy in the group.

All of the girls in the group were pretty as well.

Much so that an average male would probably ask any of the girls out if they met as a stranger on the streets. (Provided they are of legal age.)

The group of 5, all in the 1st year of their Academy, were all laughing, having fun;

and fit the perfect of image of a "Romantic Academy Life".

Almost as if their shenanigans could be a romance novel in some other world.

As Elise, who checked the time and saw that there was still 30 minutes left of class, suggested to go to a cafe within the Academy to eat a simple breakfast.

Everyone in the group agreed.

However, as Elise was trying to find a decent cafe, she noticed a strange person, and asked.

"Who do you think that person is?"

Due to Elise's comment, Edward's group all stared at the same direction.

"I wonder? It's not a student or Academy staff."

"That's weird. Is it an outsider?"

"Can an outsider even enter the Academy at this time?"

The person in question wasn't even wearing a student uniform, or Academy staff uniform.

Instead, the uniform was a menacing pitch black, matching the person's hair & eye color.

"Huh?"

Edward, who also saw the person in question, couldn't help but let out a sound of confusion and surprise.

As if Elise saw Edward's expression of surprise, she came next to Edward.

"Edward, do you know that person?"

Elise asked as it seemed like Edward knew the person, and the person in question also seemed to be walking toward Edward.

Even though Elise asked a question, Edward couldn't reply back.

Edward knew this person. But he couldn't believe his eyes. This person wasn't supposed to be here, in the Academy.

The person in question usually complained that it was hard for him to even come home from work. That would make it impossible for him to be here.

Edward was shocked. He couldn't say a word.

The person, who was now in front of Edward, stopped, and asked while looking down at Edward.

"It's been a while. Have you been well?"

***

After meeting up with the Professor and lead to my office, the first thing I did was go over the roster of foreign students and requesting extra documentation and information on all of those foreign students.

Out of the 2500 students of the Academy, 400 are new 1st years. Out of the 400, 100 are foreign students.

Each foreign student had 5 pages of documentation, meaning there were 500 sheets of paper in my office.

I had to go over every one of those papers.

Fuck.

I decided to simply organize and request for other finance documents for today, and went outside for a walk.

This was to get more familiar with the campus.

... Also to see what kind of place I would've lived in if I didn't decide to work like a dumbass.

The time was 7:10.

Met with a fresh morning breeze, I stood in the center plaza of the Academy, surrounded by stores, restaurants, and cafes.

After looking at the basic layout, I got lost.

That's right.

The all and mighty Minister of the Inspectorate Office got lost.

You may tell me to ask someone for a way, but... if I asked someone, I would probably be laughed at, and then that person would probably tell everyone they know.

And I'd be a laughing-stock.

"A Minister can't even find his own way in a school?" - President of Finance (probably)

The reputation of the Inspectorate Office is dead, and so would I. (My social life)

Such comes with the responsibilities of a Minister!

Alas, I have reached a point in my shitty life where I can't ask people for basic instructions!

...

Fuck.

'What should I do?'

I heard students talk after passing by me. Obviously, they would view me with suspicion as I would like some random outsider.

Except the 5th year students.

They ignored where I was.

That's because 5th year students are taught which government organization has which uniform.

They would see I'm from the Inspectorate Office.

Don't worry 5th years.

I would ignore myself too if I was a student from the Academy and saw a random lost Inspectorate Office official!

As I was fucking around, I saw a very inspiring and romantic sight.

'A group of people?'

Most people travel in 2 or 3 if they are in groups.

But this group was special.

There was 5.

The ratio of boy to girl was 1:4.

'Wow. That boy must be winning life to have a clique like that.'

All of the girls are literal model-tier humans too.

..

I squinted my eyes to see further, as the only boy in the group had a familiar face.

'Wait... That's my younger brother?'

...

Are you kidding me.

Fucking bastard. Your older brother is working like a dog for the Empire and you're here with 4 girls living your best life!

You're worse than the 3rd Division Head!

Traitor! How could you betray your family??

Meanwhile, my brother, Edward Ludwer had a surprised expression looking my way.

Good. He probably noticed me.

Let's confront his ungrateful ass! How dare you enjoy a romantic life!!!

I'm not mad.

I'm definitely not mad.

Because it's important, I'm going to say it 3 times.

I'm not mad.

Trust me, alright?

I walked towards Edward with light steps. For some reason, Edward's pupils shook the more closer I came.

Weirdly, ever since I began working for the government, Edward would always try to ignore me.

It was really weird.

I haven't really done anything bad to him.

In fact, I've been a good older brother.

I gave him pocket money, helped him with his studies, and played with him at times.

As I arrived in front of Edward, I opened my mouth.

Due to the fact that I was decently tall for the Empire's standards, I had to look down a bit to match my brother's eyes.

"It's been a while. Have you been well?"

"Y-Yeah. How about y-you?"

"I'm okay."

That's a lie.

I've never been okay.

I've never been happy working for this fucking job!

I almost shouted out the sentence above, so I decided to close off my heart and true feelings of how I feel about my job.

It would be a bit weird if I complained about how shit my government life is in front of students I've never seen, right?

As I turned my head around and stared at the 4 girls surrounding my ungrateful brother, I did a quick nod to show that I indeed recognize their existence.

Before an awkward silence would ensue, a girl, popped out of nowhere.

"Hello! Are you Edward's brother?"

Even if the question was asked out of politeness, the tension in that question was very outgoing.

If this was an anime, there would probably be a sudden star in her eyes.

Golden eyes, and a long hair that was blonde.

'Hm... I've seen her from somewhere?'

Needless to say, she had great facial features, like everyone in the group.

I think it's important to go back to that part about how everyone in this group are all good looking once in a while.

"Yes. I'm Roan Ludwer. You must be one of Edward's friend?"

"Yes! I'm Alicia von Gelb!"

'Fuck.'

I almost ate my ears.

Alicia von Gelb.

Yep.

That's the 1st Princess of the Lionel Federation.

No wonder she was familiar! She's on the first document on my desk!

Hahahaha....

This isn't even funny.

I stared at my brother.

Dear brother.

What did you do, to make the 1st Princess of the Lionel Federation, within a week, your friend?

My brother looked at me with confusion & fear after receiving my stare.

He had no clue.

Nietzsche, you were right.

God is indeed dead!

When I first dropped into this world, I didn't know it was a novel.

I thought my soul just went to some parallel medieval world.

However, I could determine this world was indeed a novel after looking at a certain someone.

It was because that certain someone looked the same, had the same name, and acted similarly to the main character of the novel.

You know who that someone was?

My little brother.

That's right,

My little brother is the main character of this world.

(He's the one who dies of stress after balding)
