“Leticia.”

“He says that I’m right.”

Leticia shrugged her shoulders.

Lord George’s eyes were now half protruding and appearing to be suspended in the mid-air.

“No way…..It makes….no sense.”

“What?”

Lord George staggered as if his legs were loose. Michael looked up at him with anxious eyes and uttered a word quietly.

“Thorn.”

“He told you to be careful.”

Leticia kindly added an explanation.

“You have to be careful when you touch something with a thorn….Kn, knight?”

Leticia stuttered in surprise. It was because the middle-aged knight’s scarred face was wet with tears.

“Miss Leticia Woods.”

Lord George strode up to her without even thinking of wiping away the tears that were dripping down his chin.

He snuggled Leticia into his arms as if they hadn’t talked about the lady’s conduct a few hours ago.

“Thank…. Thank you very much.”

Lord George cried in raptures as if he had been looking for knowledge that had been lost for a long time, then grabbed Leticia’s hand and begged her earnestly.

“Please, Please stay by His Highness Michael’s side.”

“That, I….”

“You’re the first person who understands what His Highness Michael said. During this time, no one understood. Not even me.”

“…..!”

Leticia stumbled in shock.

“You don’t have to put even a drop of water on your hand. All you have to do is stand by His Highness’ side and tell me what you understand. So….”

Embarrassed, Leticia shook off his hand and tried to run away, but Lord George did not let Leticia’s hand go.

“Of course, I won’t force it. But be aware that your existence…. means a lot to me and His Highness.”

Leticia knew she had to say no.

No matter how young and innocent Michael looks now, he was going to be a tyrant who killed countless people in the future.

Of course, Leticia opened her mouth to say no.

It was then.

Michael intervened between Leticia and George, looking straight at her.

“Leticia.”

“…..Michael, Your Highness.”

Leticia’s voice was half-crying.

Now there was a gap between her and Michael that could never be filled like a cliff.

A clear word came out of Michael’s little mouth.

“Doorknob.”

The door may or may not be opened. What to do is the choice of the person who is holding the doorknob.

Michael was telling Leticia that he would leave the choice to her.

A tearful golden eye trembled.

“Your Highness, I….”

At that moment, Leticia realized.

The fact that she had already been bound by this little prince.

[ Chapter 3: Being a translator for the Crown Prince. ]

Leticia blinked. The splendid ceiling caught her eye.

‘Where am I…..?”

It felt cozy and warm with a blanket and a soft mattress. The memory slowly returned.

‘I’ll do it, maids or whatever…. I’ll stay here.’

Leticia banged her head on the pillow.

‘You’re crazy! Leticia, you’re totally crazy!’

A startled voice came in.

“Miss Leticia, are you okay? Are you not feeling well?”

“Yes….?”

Leticia raised her head. She seemed to be having trouble falling asleep at the unfamiliar honorifics given behind her name.

A maid in a high-quality dress and a white apron was looking at her anxiously.

‘What is it?’

The maid put her hand on her forehead as if she had not noticed Leticia’s confusion.

“You don’t have a fever… But you’ve been in the garden until late at night, so it must be hard. Would you like breakfast?”

“Yes? Yes.”

“Then I’ll be right back.”

Leticia’s head twitches to grasp the situation. Lord George apparently had no intention of treating herself as a maid.

If it was natural, it was natural.

Now, she was the only one who could understand what the Crown Prince said.

‘I wonder if I can mollify him now.’

But Leticia already knew that it was impossible to mollify. As Michael said, it was a unicorn.

It wasn’t just because of the fact that if she ran away now, Lord George would be chasing after her to the end of the world.

She herself couldn’t leave Michael.

‘Until now, no one could understand Michael…..’

Naturally, I felt so stupid to think that Michael’s parents could understand him.

A descendant of the imperial family was raised to be promoted as the Crown Prince.

Michael’s biological parents died a long time ago and were buried in the ground, and the emperor couldn’t care less about how Michael grew up.

If no one had understood Michael’s words since childhood, his hatred for the world would have grown day by day.

Lord George was the only person who gave him much attention, so it was understandable that Michael went mad as soon as he died.

‘…..’

Leticia stared at the ceiling.

The ceiling painting, which seems to have been completed by several artists, contained two lovers whispering love in a beautiful garden.

‘Come on, let’s do it.’

Anyway, she entered the Crown Prince’s Palace as an official maid.

The royal maid will earn much more money than the Baron’s maid.

‘Anyway, Michael was able to speak properly long before he became emperor.’

In the novel, it was not written out properly because it was a thing of the past, but it was revealed that during the days of the Crown Prince, Michael did talk and interacted with various people on a daily basis.

After he became emperor, he spoke better than necessary.

Leticia in her previous life skimmed through parts about tyrant Michael without interest.

However, it was more valuable than anything else for Leticia today.

‘I just have to hang in there for a few years. Michael won’t talk like that forever.’

Since Michael is about ten years old now, it will be four or five years at the longest time for Leticia to interpret his words to others.

If she collects all the salaries she’ll receive during that time, she may be able to open a small restaurant as soon as she leaves the palace.

‘If I ask them to send me to the kitchen here, will they send me there…. Ah, I’ll have to stick with Michael.’

A delicious smell tickled Leticia’s nostrils, which were deep in thought.

“Miss Leticia, would you like to eat at the table or in bed?”

“Yes?”

“The bed will be comfortable for you, right?”

The maid with a bright voice set the large silver tray down in front of Leticia’s nose.

“Tha, thank you.”

Leticia was briefly mesmerized by the food on the tray.

The tray was full of food that looked far more luxurious than the hard-earned food in Baron Jefferson’s kitchen.

At least three people could eat enough to be satisfied.

“In the kitchen, I did not know what Miss Leticia would like to eat, so I prepared various things.”

Leticia couldn’t help laughing. She knew what the word meant.

Perhaps the chef has been angry over and over again at the fussy unknown guest.

The maids of the lower ranks would have made food by looking at the chef and trying to be flawless.

Perhaps she was treated as a much more important guest than she thought.

Leticia looked at the maid.

“I like fruit, white bread, and pies. Please tell them that they don’t have to work hard to prepare different foods every morning.”

“Are you sure?”

The maid looked a little surprised. She would either because no one would ever say that. Even in Baron Jefferson’s mansion, she used to guess her taste by looking at the food left by the guests.

“Yes.”

“All right.”

Just before the maid went out, Leticia plucked up the courage to have a little luxury.

“Also, a glass of fresh milk, please.”

As soon as breakfast was over, Lord George arrived.

He had returned to his usual blunt and fierce-looking knight, perhaps the excitement of the night before had subsided.

“You haven’t run away yet.”

“Why would I run away? Even if I run away, you’ll go through the whole empire to find me.”

“I’m glad you know really well.”

A small smile settled on Lord George’s lips, perhaps it was an empty word.

Leticia was relieved that he had regained stability. If he had been as excited as he was yesterday, she would have seriously considered running away.

Lord George held a bundle of papers in his hand.

“Is this a contract for an imperial maid?”

“No.”

Lord George shook his head. Leticia read the first chapter of the document in astonishment.

<A Confidentiality Agreement>

‘…..?’

Confused, Leticia continued to read the papers. It was all about her duty to protect, such as keeping secrets.

Among the many documents, only one was the duty of the imperial family.

There was a monthly salary and an annual increase, which was enough to make Leticia’s eyes pop out.

‘That’s ten times the salary I got at Baron Jefferson!’

Leticia immediately picked up her pen, but fortunately, just before signing, she remembered that Lord George said this was not an imperial maid’s contract.

She slammed her pen down on the table.

“If I’m not a maid, then what am I? I want to know that then I’ll sign it.”

“You’re not as stupid as I thought.”

“Yes. So please be honest. I don’t know what the ritual is, and why am I being served by other maids…..”

Lord George stared at her and uttered a word, seemingly determined.

“Nothing.”

“Yes…..?”

I felt like I was talking to Michael for a moment. ‘Nothing’, what the hell is this nonsense?

“You’re nothing, Miss Woods.”

Stunning and choking, Leticia tried to shake a thick fike and almost dropped it as if her wrist was going out.

She held out the file in front of Lord George and almost hit his nose.

“Then what’s all this?”
