Chapter 2: Ch 1: Two Lonely Met

(POV)Lythalia Dasandoral

 

Lythalia Dasandoral was a vampire, one of the Great Calamities or they are also known as the Great Holder; they harbor an unimaginable power residing within their souls. The energy they had was enough to solo one enormous army of soldiers.

 

Lythalia Dasandoral has long silver-grey hair wearing a black ribbon behind her, deep pink eyes, sharp pointy ears, a slim body, long pointed tooth on per side of her canine, smooth and soft pale skin, wearing a frilly gothic dress.

 

Scouring for a book to read was her entertainment. A book with unnamed and unadorned decoration caught her attention. She tried to pull the book, but instead of dragging it, the book acted as a lever.

 

The bookshelf slide creates a small space between them. The ground was open; its opening was similar to an elevator. Inside was a staircase headed downstairs. She went down as her only light was the lamp she had been using.

 

Reaching inside was an old, ruptured throne room. The only thing left is an age-old rupture throne made of stone standing in the center of the room. The room was dusty, dreary, and empty. The only thing left other than the ruptured throne was an entire black chess piece scattered everywhere.

 

The throne collapsed after sensing my touch. The tiny pieces of the destroyed throne melted and began materializing into a king chess piece the size of an adult human. It was translucent and illuminating as a colorful ray. After its materializing end, the chess piece began creating an opening in the middle. A bright light started coming out inside.

 

I slowly opened my dazzled eye. I found a beautiful unclothed girl lying on the ground. She has soft, smooth skin, a slim body, tortilla brown hair, and peach-colored soft lips.

 

I approached the naked girl lying on the floor. I let out a sigh of relief, confirming she was alive. The sounds of strange wooden noise walked its way through my sharp pointy ears. Looking around me were black chess pieces scattered like a doll around a moment ago. And now, standing, their heads have not altered a bit, but their bodies are becoming humanoid.

 

"Haimophonos!" Calling its name, the ring on her right hand unleashed an orb of blood in her palm. The ring was white, and its head was a small pair of red batwing. Haimophonos was created by her using the knowledge she learned through reading, and its name came from a book made by a deceased otherworldy. The name was Antiphonus, and Haimon means "In Revenge For Blood" and "Bloody."

Completing its blood released, she then now says the weapon type"Sword Class," Saying its sort. The bloody ball materializes itself into a sword. The sword's quillons were red crimson batwings with red crystal in the middle; the grip shape like a spine, its pommel was a bat, and its blade released a menacing red aura.

 

The first rook swings his giant ax on me. As he strikes with his ax, I jump backward. Its attack smashes the ground firmly. I caught the second rook's next move. He posed as he was about to jump. He dashes fastly after jumping. I quickly thrust my sword into the ground and ducked. I quickly look behind and penetrate his heart with my sword.

 

Noticing the rook was still moving, I sent him flying with my kick. I turn around and swing upwards, knowing the first rook attack. They attack with one pattern. Learning these rook patterns, the moment he repeats the same method. I throw my sword strongly, causing the second rook to split into two.

 

Clearing the two rooks, the knight appears to be riding a horse with a huge lancer. The first knight directly charged at me while the second knight went to the left side. The horse was not fast as the rook, but it was enough for me not to think about my plan. Dodging the attack, the knight looks at me on his left and swings his lance sending me flying toward the other knight.

 

The second knight started running towards me as soon as I flew. I quickly think about how to get out of this situation. "Spear Class" My sword near the split rook faded while my spear materialized in my left hand. As soon as my spear appeared, I quickly threw the spear along with a rope made of blood to pull me along.

 

While I was still in the midair, A giant fireball was sent to me by the bishop. I pulled the spear and thrust it into the ground. I swing on the spear and jump high. While I was in the air, I made a wing behind my back. The wings were black, and their membrane was red. The wings were behind my waist.

 

I was flying in the air while dodging every attack. I noticed the queen created a black wing feather behind her back and flew towards me with her scythe. Before the queen soared in the air, I saw the pawn running toward the queen and touching her. I was confused back then, but now I understand these pawns' ability; they can copy someone's ability by touching its target.

 

The pawn started carrying everyone, two for the knight, one for the bishop, and the king. There was a smirk on my face seeing my enemies flying. "Sword Class" Again, my spear faded, and my sword materialized again in my right hand. I swing my sword circular releasing a sharp, heavy liquid from my blood.

 

After destroying every chess piece, I run toward the unclothe girl to examine her injury. Luckily she didn't receive any wounds from any of the attacks. I started wondering why she didn't get attacked and why was she inside the throne? Leaving my thought behind, I prioritize the girl first; I bring her to my room to clean her and take care of her until she wakes up.
