Chapter 19: Chapter 16 – A restless night

Alright, I’ll tell you my situation right now, Athena and I went to take a bath and of course separated. I finished first and then went to the room I rented, the ‘Starling Inn’ was not bad you could even say that even royalty lives here.

Now we go to our main situation, I didn’t have enough money for two rooms, so you can guess what happened.

Athena and I were looking at each other, Athena was blushing while I was as emotionless as always, however there was a storm of thoughts going through my mind.

‘Why! This should not be allowed! A boy who’s not even human and a once been a noble girl, sleeping together!!!’, I had a storm going on in my mind.

The room we were in was big enough for three people, but the problem is the fact that there is only one bed! How am I supposed to share a bad with a girl!!! It’s impossible, my heart (?) wouldn’t be able to take it.

‘Why is it only now where I get to be the ‘lucky bastard’? Hey! God stop this!’, I screamed internally.

Athena was only wearing a huge shirt that covered almost eighty percent of her petite body. We were almost about the same height so I can see her eyes focused on me and her cheeks blushing even harder.

“Uhm… shall we go…. to sleep master?”, Athena said after a couple of weird and awkward seconds.

I nodded my head as I was trying to calm down my brain.

‘Are you playing with me god!!!’, I screamed at the identity known as god, however he did not respond.

The time I spent on earth never socializing with people, much less the opposite gender has started bear fruit or rather said, started showing nothing!!!

Athena started pulling the sheets of the bed, still embarrassed about sleeping together with a guy. She then laid down on the bed and made extra space for me to sleep in.

“Is there really no way of renting another room?”, Athena looked at me with trembling eyes and her cheeks becoming even redder.

“No, if we rented another room, we wouldn’t have money for the things we need for tomorrow.”, I shortly explained and hoped that she would understand.

Athena let out a small sigh, she then looked at me as if asking me if I wouldn’t lay down on the bed.

I picked up all my courage and started to enter under the sheets of the bed, Athena blushed even more and more, and I was sweating bullets.

I had the same thing as her on, since we didn’t have many clothes I had to use a cheap one, I also had white boxers on and the clothes we had on was sent to the ‘special’ laundry they have here.

And finally, I was right next to her, laying on the bed and our eyes focused on each other. Her silver eyes barely reflected mine and her beautiful silver hair that was long enough to reach her waist glowed as the moonlight shone.

‘Hippity hoppity, get me the hell out of here!!! This is way, way too much stimulation for a fifteen-year-old guy! My Excalibur will not be able to hold itself back anymore if this goes on. Can I even reproduce? Im a ghost and all… WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING ABOUT!!!!’, my mind was in utter chaos, I felt as if I could pass out any moment.

While I was questioning this situation, I suddenly realized that Athena was looking at me the whole time, not event moving a budge. The moment she realized that she spent too much time looking at me, she turned around and went to sleep.

I could feel her body warmth warming up my body, I could feel her body as well, even though I was giving my best to keep distance.

‘Just look at that, she turned around. Good luck sleeping because I won’t be able to!’, I had the Skill ‘Night Vision’ which allows me to see the night as clear as day and that makes it harder for me to sleep!

My brain didn’t stop working not even for a second, even though I wish I’d fall asleep already I couldn’t because I was literally right next to a girl!

Because of this I couldn’t fall asleep that night.

“Yaaaaawn….”, I yawned as I woke up still tired because of what happened yesterday.

I could barely catch any sleep last night, I probably only slept like one hour or less.

I was only half awake, so I tried moving my arm but I could feel it being pressed against something soft.

“Hn~” I heard somebody moan.

I tried moving my arm towards the opposite side of the soft feeling but then I realized something was holding my arm towards that soft feeling.

“Ahn~~” the moan got a little louder, I looked towards where my arm was and found Athena holding onto my arm. The soft feeling was her small breasts rubbing onto my arm.

I was still half asleep but the moment I realized what the soft feeling was my body froze.

‘W-w-whaaaat! This feeling! No, no, no, no this is not good!’, my mind went into havoc mode and I just laid there not moving an inch.

Athena was still asleep, but then suddenly she started to rub my arm against her breasts rougher than before.

“Aahn~~!”, Athena moaned even louder than before, even though she was still asleep.

‘This girl!’, the situation I was in is dangerous I should take my arms off her. I tried moving my arm out as fast as possible, but then I committed a grave mistake.

I moved my arm too quick and Athena woke up, she first rubbed her eyes and then looked at her arms in circling mine.

‘Déjà vu.’, I thought for a second as Athena turned beet red. She realized her shirt was gone, it must’ve slipped off while she was asleep.

I was looking at the location of where my arm is, and Athena noticed that and immediately let go off of my arm and covered herself.

“I-I-i-it wasn’t my fault I swear.”, I said trying to make sure there would be no misunderstandings. “Really?”, Athena asked with watery eyes.

“Yeah.” I answered shortly.

Athena believed me and said. “Did you…. see see anything?”, Athena asked, worried that I saw her naked body.

“No, I didn’t.”, I answered, I tried not to see anything rather said.

 

 

 

After our ruckus in the morning we went to get our washed clothes, they used an ‘Water Attribute Magic’ spell to clean them in an instant.

We then soon left the inn and went towards our current objective. “What we have to do today is register at the guild, or rather said you Athena.”, I said. “Once somebody registers at the guild, their statuses are showed to the guild and that would be a problem for us, if I went there to register that is.”

If they knew that I was a ‘Dark Ghost’ which is considered a monster in the guild, there would be a lot of trouble going on for us. So, I decided that Athena should register for our sake.

“Master, why do we need to register at the guild?” Athena asked. “That’s because, first we need money, and second I need to use the job changing room to change my job, and third we need to get stronger and what is the best place to find quests to become stronger other than the guild itself.”

I would also be going to the guild to get some information… about the Spirit Forest.

Back in the village, Iris explained me that humans have jobs and monsters have levels, and of course there are some races that have both, however it is unheard of that a ghost has a job.

Athena nodded at my short explanation as we followed the route towards the guild.

“Oh-ho, if it isn’t the young man, I had met the other day.”, an old man said as he found me going it the guild. “Oh, it’s you. Why are you here don’t you have to go back to your family?” I asked the old man.

About a week ago I was searching for the nearest town to hide in, and there I found an old man who was heading towards the town called ‘Blue Tear’.

“I was called here by the noble whom I made a contract with.”, the old man shortly explained. “Why’d he call you to the capital and not his territory.”

Some nobles owned territories and lands, the old man’s farm was within the noble jurisdiction. “Apparently he has some business to do here in the capital, and he then called me to come here.”

“Hmm, is that so.”, I said as something popped up in my mind. “Oh, yeah by the way do you know that nobles name?”

“His name is Raymond Ferrow.”, the moment the old man said that, Athena’s body twitched and her eyes started emitting bloodlust.

‘What a coincidence.’, I thought connecting the dots together. “So anyway, who’s the young lady there.”, the old man asked as he looked Athena.

“Her name is Anathena.”, I told him a wrong name, since Athena is a noble’s daughter some people might know her by the name. “Anathena, is it? I’m really pleased to meet you.”, the old man said, and Athena responded with a nod.

“So, what brings you here?”, the old man asked. “We’re here to register at the guild. We want to become adventurers.”, I explained a short lie, most people use this excuse when they go to register.

The old man showed a worried expression and said. “If you are going to register as an adventurer, then at the very least be careful. Being an adventurer isn’t easy, being an adventurer meant putting your life on the line after all.”

“Yeah, I’ll be careful.”, I said as I was about to make a leave, but the old man grabbed my shoulder and said. “If you’re going to register at the guild, I recommend you make a temporary registration instead.”

“A temporary registration?”, I said confused by the name I did not have any information about. “Yes, a temporary registration. The guild will not display your status, and the you’ll be able to take on quests that are low ranked. And if you want to become an actual adventurer, you can say that you finished your temporary registration and they will give you a guild card without it displaying your status. You could say it’s a trial.”, the old man explained.

The temporary registration is also used to appraise someone’s ability to be an adventurer instead of checking their status directly.

‘Perfect! This is just what I needed.’, I thought. If my status is not shown that meant that nobody will ever know that I am a ghost.

“Alright, then I’ll do a temporary registration.”
