Soon after we parted ways with the village mage, me and Iris arrived at her house, and were greeted by two little girls.
“” Welcome back home, Big sis!””, the two girls screamed trying to surprise us.
“Yeah, I’m back and I brought a friend.” Iris responded with a smile.
“You mean this spirit right next to you?” One of them asked.
“Huh, wait there’s one here? Where?” The other asked.
From what I can guess these are Iris’s sisters, they look so cute, but I think I should hold back my degeneracy.
“Let me introduce them to you. These are my little twin sisters. The one who can see you is Luna the other one is Lara.”, Iris shortly explained. “Unfortunately, Lara can’t see spirits.”
The two sisters looked exactly alike, Luna has long hair all the way up to her waist, while Lara has short hair that reaches down to her shoulders these are the only differences between them.
“Don’t worry Lara it’s not your fault that you can’t see spirits.”, Luna tried to comfort her sister.
“It’s fine, but could you please describe its appearance to me?”, Lara asked.
“Okay, uhm… he looks like a boy and a girl, like you know when a boy’s still young and he looks like a girl. He also has white hair and skin and he has some sort of claws growing from his fingers.”, Iris explained.
‘Hold up, do I look like a boy and a girl? I remember being mistaken for being a girl, so it’s actually true…’ I thought in disappointment.
“So anyway father is waiting for us, and mother has dinner ready, so I think we should go.”, Luna said leading the way
Later on we had dinner together (I didn’t eat because I can’t). During dinner I found out that Iris has two sisters and one brother, and that Iris is apparently 356 years old!!! Holy cow I wasn’t expecting this one. Elves live for 1000 years their appearance stays the same once they’ve reached the age of 16 years old or they mature.
After dinner I went together with Iris to a balcony in her house.
“Usually I’m not allowed to be here, so don’t tell my father okay.” She said with a wink of her left eye.
“My mouth is sealed, I shall never betray you.” I said jokingly.
“Hahaha! what’s with that way of speaking.” She laughed as we continued climbing up the staircase.
By the time we arrived the moon was already at its zenith.
“Wow it’s so beautiful.”, I said in amazement.
Normally I don’t get easily impressed by nature or outside world stuff, (since I’ve never left my home) but this is truly amazing. I also almost never like speaking to people unless they are people who I can speak about animes and or video games. One of my mottos are ‘just deal with it’. I know it isn’t exactly the best motto but it’s mine at least.
The silver moon in the middle of the dark sky was filled with stars, as if it were overflowing with stars tainting the sky with colors. Even though I possess the skill ‘Night Vision’ I can see everything as if it were night and day at the same time
“Yeah it is isn’t it”, Iris said with a distant look in her eyes.
“What’s wrong?” I asked as I blushed a little out of embarrassment. ‘I really shouldn’t have asked I’m blushing so hard out of embarrassment.’ I thought trying to hide my hint of embarrassment.
I get embarrassed whenever I do a mistake or ask something personal or out of my authority.
“Hmm… well I guess I can tell you Shiro.”, she said. “I want to go into the outside world.”
“Then why don’t you go?” I asked.
“It’s not as simple as that. My parents would go crazy if I went. Everyone in this village likes it staying here, but I want to go outside. There is a rule in this village and it counts for all Elves, the rule is that all Elves in the village are not allowed to leave.” She explained.
“Why? Why are the Elves here not allowed to leave.”
“It’s because this village is safe and there is no reason to go outside and because our ancestors put up that rule.”
I was wondering why there were so many Elves here.
I’m not exactly the type of person to help people if it means breaking the rules and I’m no good at dealing with people’s feelings. So I don’t know what to do in this situation.
Afterwards we left the balcony and went to sleep in a separate room of course, since I could never sleep together with a girl because my heart wouldn’t be able to contain itself.
The next morning I met up with the village mage and we went to the training grounds to practice magic.
“Oh yeah I never got to ask what’s your name?” I asked.
Sometimes I get really focused on something that I end up forgetting to ask things.
“Huh? You don’t know my name, didn’t Iris tell you. Well, it’s fine. My name is Leonard, but you can call me Leo for short.” Leo answered my question.
“Leo it is, so what are we going to do today?”
“Since you still don’t know how to manipulate mana we’re going to work on that and on your magic attribute.” He said
My magic attribute I hope it’s fire or wind or at the very least any of them.

Leo shortly went into a storage room and brought a crystal ball like thing and told me
“Alright, now this is an Attribute Crystal Ball. With this thing you can figure out whether or not somebody has an affinity for an attribute.” He explained. “All you have to do is put your hand over it and it will glow your affinity for an attribute. Would you please put your hand on it?”, Leo explained.
I put my hand on it and the crystal ball started glowing transparently with a taint of black, it wasn’t too shiny however it was glowing faintly.
“Pffft… HAAHAHAHAA” Leo laughed with tears in his eyes.
‘I’m having a really bad feeling about this. Hey stop laughing you!’, I cursed him inside of my mind.
“Hey what’s wrong! Why are you laughing you bastard!!!”, I shouted while I was throwing punches at him but they were going right through him.
“You don’t have a magic affinity for any of the attributes, hahaha!”
ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT I CAN’T DO MAGIC!!!! Why goddamnit, why me, why meeee?
“Ha ha… but don’t worry that doesn’t mean you can’t use magic. You can learn ‘No-Attribute Magic’. It’s just normal magic with normal mana.” He shortly explained.
‘No-Attribute Magic’ is magic that hasn’t been tainted by an attribute. It allows you to cast simple spells that are not attributed. If you cast a ‘Fire Attribute Magic’ spell, you will be manipulating fire. If you cast a ‘No-Attribute Magic’ spell, will be manipulating mana as a base attribute.
“Well you can’t use ‘No-Attribute Magic’ yet since it probably isn’t in your status.” Leo said. “So, for now you have to get the ‘Mana Control’ skill and No-Attribute Magic’ skill.” Leo said.
And so I started practicing Mana control.
Two weeks have passed since I arrived at this village and started practicing magic.
In that time, I figured out how to control mana to some extent. Leo said that as long I can control mana to some extent I should be able to do magic. The ‘Mana Control’ skill helps reducing the cost of mana and increasing the control over it. Of course, I still didn’t stop practicing to get the skill however today, I’m going to try real magic.
Mana feel like a warmth in your body that you can move, or kind of like a third hand that you knew never existed. When I told Leo my definition of how mana feels like, he told me that’s a weird way to put it.
“Alright, today is the day you cast your fist spell. Now I’m going to explain you the importance of chanting.” Leo said.
Chanting are magic words that help you form your spell, or you can imagine a river and there’s a bridge to get to the other side. The bridge is the chant and if you take the river you will have to use more mana to do a chant less spell. Chants pretty much help you cast with less mana, but you can also gain the skill ‘Chant Revocation’ which allows you to cast spells without chanting and it costs less mana.
“Okay, the ‘No-Attribute Magic’ spell you’re going to chant is ‘Mana Bullet’ it’s a simple spell and you can use it to attack your enemies.” Leo said and then told me the chant for the spell.
‘Alright here goes nothing!’
I started chanting the spell I felt my body getting tired I tried to hold back my mana and only put a small amount of it.
Soon after I finished chanting there was a glowing magic circle around my palm and a white glowing ball of mana.
“I-I-I’m doing! I’m doing magic!!!” I exclaimed in joy.
“Yes that’s it, but don’t lose focus. Now try to shoot it.” Leo said with a smile of proudness.
I tried focusing my mana outwards and then the mana bullet shot out and hit against a tree.
“Finally, I can do magic!!!!!” I screamed out of pure joy and excitement.
