"Seriously…what was I even expecting?" Compass Carburettor sighed, watching the guard's sword stop after hitting a tiny wall that had formed before his neck.

Mecha!

Tiny energy blades that resembled the feathers of a housefly joined together to form a wall that solidly blocked the attack, shocking both the guard and the lady.

Compass Carburettor gazed at the large sword in the guard's hands, unleashing his Dust Wave that targeted it, turning it into dust as the guard was shocked, coughing blood due to the backlash as he collapsed to the ground, falling unconscious.

The giant sword was his Martial Spirit. And now it had been destroyed, causing his cultivation to turn useless.

'I see, since all the cultivation stages are dependent on the Martial Spirit, its destruction turned him into a mortal instantly. So, if he wishes to grow strong once again, he'll have to obtain a new Martial Spirit and start from scratch.' Compass Carburettor thought before gazing at the lady, calm, "Are you auctioning it or not?"

"Or do you want me to destroy this auction house for your arrogance?"

"T-That is…I…" The lady was flabbergasted, unable to react as she watched the all-powerful guard now lying on the ground, having been turned into a mortal.

The extent of power Compass Carburettor displayed was beyond her understanding since he casually destroyed a Martial Origin cultivator.

'Is he a Martial Providence cultivator?' The lady felt her mind going numb, recalling her attitude towards him and the fact that she was the one that had instructed the guard to behead him.

"Respected sir, I hope you remain benevolent and forgive us." Suddenly, a man's voice resounded a middle-aged man in his late fifties arrived at the scene.

"So, how do you wish to die?" Compass Carburettor disregarded the other party's intent to negotiate, snorting, "I'm already pissed enough as is and you're wasting my time further?"

Upon his words, every single item in his vicinity turned into dust, startling everyone that had arrived to see the source of the commotion.

After all, the guard's attack itself caused a lot of noise that alerted a lot of them.

"Please, let me serve you, honourable cultivator." The middle-aged man bowed immediately, glaring at the lady to make her react.

He quickly grabbed hold of the item from her hands and inspected it, saying immediately, "We'll auction this material, respected sir. But can I know some more details about it?"

"Unbreakable Etherite." Compass Carburettor responded curtly. "Delay any further and I'll just sell it in some other place."

"Please, we'll definitely give you a satisfactory response." The middle-aged man said before leading him to a nearby room, "Please have a seat in the VIP room until then. We'll immediately organise a major auction and sell it. It'll take some time to disseminate the news to the Clans in and around Gaoan City. Only they would be able to buy respected sir's treasure for a worthy price. It'll take a couple of days to organise everything."

"Until then, please use our services to your need. Whatever you require, we'll make it ready." The middle-aged man rattled through a string of words.

"Fine," Compass Carburettor nodded and waved him to get out.

"Please enjoy your stay here." The middle-aged man clutched hold of the yellowish-white object in his hands with care and exited the room, beginning to make preparations immediately.

A suite with a bed, an attached bathroom, a balcony that overlooked the busy market street, it was a large enough room, not to mention that everything was stupidly decorated.

Having lived normal lives in both the Darble and Apocalypse Worlds where he pursued efficiency in everything, such unnecessary luxury felt revolting to him now. 'I have changed a lot.'

He sighed, arriving at the balcony as he observed the streaming crowd, "Two more days…"

The palm-sized yellowish-white object he had taken out was his energy blade that was condensed using the Trait of Permanence. So, it could very well be said that it was an indestructible material.

It would fetch him a fortune, enough to satisfy all his needs for the time being. But, he couldn't sell it more than once, at least not within the Gaider Realm. That'll just lead to countless investigations which would spur the greed of countless Clans and Sects that would only end up chasing after him.

So, he had to make do with what he earned from selling it the first time. And an auction would only be successful if enough rich people were participating. Otherwise, he wouldn't get a good price for his item.

So, waiting for a couple of days was the least bit necessary. He was aware of the time it needed to host an auction. There must be enough inventory of items to sell, a good variety of products to garner the interests of most customers, and enough final products to hype up everyone and gain big bucks.

And, the auction must also be advertised enough that the powerhouses would be alerted enough to make a move personally. All that needed time and funds to do so.

If not for the mysterious power Compass Carburettor displayed, the middle-aged man wouldn't have agreed to sell it within two days.

He was unsure how strong the other party was. At least, he seemed stronger than the guard. But as to what extent, he wasn't sure as he didn't even have a cultivation yet. So, he couldn't sense the strength of other people.

All he did was make a general estimate based on his experience in seeing powerful people.

'He's not the owner of the auction house.' Compass Carburettor determined this, 'At least, he's not strong enough to maintain the sole auction house in the Gaoan City.'

Right as he thought of that, there was a knock on the door before an old man entered, cupping his fists as he greeted, "I'm Old Zen, pleased to make your acquaintance."

"I'm Gahrat," Replied Compass Carburettor, cupping his fists in response. 'So, he's the owner.'

Unlike everyone, the owner looked no different to a mortal. But in such cases, it was only a testament to the strength he had attained.

"You've caused quite the ruckus in my auction house." Old Zen said after a smile, gently taking a seat opposite him.

"They tried to steal my goods and silence me. I've let them off by only destroying some furniture.." Compass Carburettor snorted, resting his cheek on his palm, calmly staring at the old man.
