Chapter 360: Heaven Martial Spirit: Mind Frog

“The Systems call me the Main Character, one that kills the Systems.” Compass Carburettor spoke, “And I plan to make my daughter the same. As long as I cure her mind, this is possible.”

“Then, I’ll become her Martial Spirit.” Suddenly, the blob of lightning, the Earth Divine Martial Spirit spoke.

“What? Why?” The Fire Dragon was confused, asking in alarm, “Our world would become weak if you were to leave us. Only us four Divine Martial Spirits can uphold our world’s foundation.”

“That is precisely why I must do it.” The blob of lightning said, “A lot of Earth Martial Spirits have been killed by Systems. It’s the highest among the four Tiers of Martial Spirits, since Earth Martial Spirits are elemental based.”

“If we don’t take action, we’ll fall eventually.” It said, “And, it’s already happening. Our numbers are constantly reducing. This is also why the brick has entered the Gaider Realm.”

“Then, let me be the one to…” The Fire Dragon said when it was stopped by the blob of lightning.

The blob of lightning then said, “Even if we three Divine Martial Spirits were to disappear, as long as you are there, our world wouldn’t collapse. And, if I were to be killed by a System, you have the power to create a new Earth Divine Martial Spirit. So, you mustn’t risk your life.”

“It makes sense.” The Human Divine Martial Spirit spoke, facing the Fire Dragon, “As long as you’re alive, we’ll eventually recover any Martial Spirits that have been killed. But if you were to die, we’re doomed.”

“Fine,” The Fire Dragon sighed before gazing at Compass Carburettor, “Human, can you assure me that you’ll ensure the Divine Spirits aren’t killed once you leave our world?”

“Yes, I can guarantee it.” Compass Carburettor nodded, “Once I create a Personal Fragment here, it’ll ensure my Martial Spirit won’t die even if I leave this world. And I’ll ensure my daughter makes one too.”

He then looked at the blob of lightning, bowing towards it, “Thank you. I’ll leave my daughter in your care until she’s able to wake up once again.”

“Leave it to me.” The blob of lightning nodded.

Compass Carburettor then gazed at the Fire Dragon, “Also, the cultivator picked by the Trash Divine Martial Spirit, Ranze would be regarded as the perfect Host by the Systems. And there’s a good chance they would do so now. Shall I just kill him?”

“It’ll be fine.” The Fire Dragon said, “We Divine Martial Spirits aren’t that helpless. The moment a System enters Ranze’s body, the brick will obtain information from it and automatically return to the Martial Spirit Realm. They’ll play into our hands if they select Ranze.”

Assured, Compass Carburettor returned to reality, noticing the figure of an ethereal-looking frog hover above his hand before vanishing. The altar turned dim immediately after.

Compass Carburettor felt slightly different from before, noticing that he was able to sense his soul, or at least that was what it seemed to be like. Based on the information he obtained related to the Gaider Realm, he knew that Martial Spirits lived in the cultivator’s soul.

And, one’s cultivation depended entirely on the Martial Spirit. If it was destroyed, the cultivator instantly lost their painstaking cultivation. So, there were definite risks involved with using them to fight.

But, as long as the material one fused with at the Martial Origin Stage was tough enough, they wouldn’t break easily. Moreover, it wasn’t necessary to use them in close combat always. Emission based attacks could also be used.

Compass Carburettor turned around, noticing the exhausted figure of Helk gazing at him from the other side of the energy blade wall. At present, there was only him and a bandit wearing a bunch of equipment.

The rest seemed to have been killed in the traps.

It was apparent that the only reason they had managed to come so far was thanks to the Claw Wolf.

‘He has fused with an interesting material that’s related to the mind. I can’t let him escape.’ Thinking as such, Compass Carburettor calmly gazed at Helk, flashing a cordial smile before bringing out Stencil, gently brushing her hair to the side as he inserted hundred Essence Stones in the altar.

He then gently placed her hand on the altar, watching it lit up with a massive column that displayed the level equivalent to an Earth Martial Spirit.

Thirty minutes later, the figure of a blob of lightning flickered over Stencil’s hand as immediately after, Compass Carburettor noticed Stencil’s eyelids flutter for a moment, ‘It’s working!’

Even though there wasn’t any other change apart from that, he was now assured that the Earth Divine Martial Spirit would protect Stencil’s soul as that was where it resided.

He had also informed Gana to return, watching her condense a portal and arrive in the Dimensional Space. Since there was an altar here, there was no need for her to search for another.

Following Stencil was Grisha’s turn who awakened the Heaven Martial Spirit, Space Ape. It was a rare Martial Spirit that allowed her to wield the power of space. It could be used for a variety of means and hence chosen by her.

Finally, Gana awakened the Heaven Martial Spirit, Pill Urn. It was an urn with a mysterious vital fire inside it that was beneficial to refine the topmost quality of pills. As it was a contest of wills, Grisha and Gana, the two old monsters were easily able to choose the strongest Martial Spirit of their desired type.

This was the advantage of living through 48 loops in the apocalypse world.

Once the both of them finished awakening their Martial Spirits, Compass Carburettor sent them along with Stencil into the Dimensional Space, “Begin cultivating.”

It was better to begin preparations to cure Stencil immediately. As for him, he planned to purchase all the herbs necessary for Stencil’s pills next.

He then gazed at the resting figure of Helk, suddenly using Plunder on him, stealing his Martial Spirit, alarming the other party.

Until now, he had been resting upon seeing that the translucent wall before him was impossible to destroy even with the best of his abilities. He was assured that the other path was the right one, as he had met a dead end here.

Since he was able to see the altar, he was assured of his conjecture. Currently, he was resting, intending to proceed through the other route and reap treasures after some time. He had noticed that Compass Carburettor had just awakened his Martial Spirit.

But, when Compass Carburettor suddenly brought out Stencil from out of nowhere, Helk was alarmed. Since there was an impossible-to-break wall between them, he wasn’t nervous.

But now, Compass Carburettor retracted the walls, using the fusion of Golda’s and Dita’s abilities to plunder his Martial Spirit, instantly reducing him to the status of a mortal.

Compass Carburettor then placed it in a special container used to store Martial Spirits, noticing that Helk’s choker didn’t vanish, “Those containers are indeed special.”

They were what he looted from the treasury.

“M-My power…” Helk was aghast, plopping to the ground in despair, gazing at Compass Carburettor, full of doubt and indignation, “What did you do to me?”
