There existed a rule inside the Woods Ocean Ancient Path. There was no limit as to how many Grade 2 beasts could fight a group of cultivators, but for Grade 3 beasts, they could only send out as many Golden Core Sages as the cultivators had.

As there were only seven Golden Core Sages in Chen Jingzhai’s group, it meant that the demonic beasts could only send out at most seven Grade 3 beasts at once. Having 20 appearing together and attacking the group of cultivators was against the rule and the punishment would be heavy.

“The rule? We are the rule! We Giant Rhino Tribe decides what’s wrong or right in this forest!” the leader scoffed. “Unless all of you want to die here, I suggest you let my friend go this instance!”

To the Giant Rhino Tribes, having one of them getting tamed was a huge embarrassment.

They would’ve been humiliated to a point of no return if the cultivator decided to keep it and did not return their friend.

That was why they had to get the tamed beast back, even if it meant they had to kill it to do so.

“Can you represent your entire tribe? Did you get your king’s order? Do your people agree with what you are doing now? Or is this your own call?” Chen Jingzhai asked as he stood tall on his mount, unfazed by the demonic beast’s threat.

“Shut up!” The leader roared and threw its giant ax toward Chen Jingzhai.

The Dark-face Humanoid Puppet immediately jumped between her master and the ax to protect Chen Jingzhai, but the ax suddenly made a turn and flew towards the tamed beast.

However, the puppet’s arm suddenly flew out of her torso and grabbed the giant ax mid-air.

“Die!” The leader then launched itself forward with its right leg, aiming its horn at the puppet.

With a loud bang, the puppet was sent flying back, but she continued to hold the ax tightly in her hand.

The demonic beast did not stop there. It turned and changed its target, now charging at Chen Jingzhai.

Chen Jingzhai sighed, shook his head, and threw the Great Heaven Mirror out.

The mirror turned into a ray of light and floated above his head while shining brightly.

The demonic beast was trapped instantly and no matter how hard it struggled, it could not get free.

The entire area was now covered in a restriction while the Yin Yang Formation suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

“Tower boy!” Chen Jingzhai yelled and with divine light, a tower manifested.

The tower started to suck all the 20 powerful demonic beasts into it with a powerful aura. The beasts gritted their teeth as they used their bloodline power to defend themselves.

However, there was no way they could easily get free from the combined power of the Great Heaven Mirror and the tower. Those two items were an advanced Grade 3 magic treasure and a spiritual treasure after all.

Just as the powerful beasts were about to be absorbed by the tower, a powerful force was sent out from the top of the hill. It spread throughout the forest, sending chills down everyone’s spine, including the Golden Core Sages.

The disciples from the Elixir Twilight Clan and the Soaring Clouds Clan even had to bend over under the pressure, while Kong Guang and the rest of the disciples from the sword branches could not stop their legs from shaking.

“Demonic king of the Giant Rhino Tribe, is this how you treat a guest traveling through the ancient path? Unlike the rumors about you, you are a disappointment!” Chen Jingzhai said without any expression as he stared at the figure that had suddenly appeared.

The demonic king was completely similar to a human. He had the face and the body of a human. The only difference was that a crystal horn could be seen hidden inside his long hair. He was a demonic king that was as powerful as a Grade 4 lord.

“Master Uncle of the Luo Sheng Sword School, I’ll admit that you have the right to speak to me in such a manner,” the demonic king said. “We are the ones who are in the wrong this time. As an apology, I’ll offer you these little things as a present.”

The demonic king took the five leading the 20 powerful demonic beasts with him and left the rest with Chen Jingzhai.

The remaining 15 were a gift from the king as a form of apology.

Everyone was surprised by that and had no idea what to do.

“I see. Do I have the honor of knowing your name?” Chen Jignzhai asked.

“We Giant Rhino Tribe name ourselves according to our own horn. You can call me the Giant Horn Brilliance King,” the demonic king replied. “All of these happened because you have tamed one of our elites. Although my kin had done something terribly wrong, you have gone overboard as well. Why don’t we just settle with this?”

“You don’t have to be so formal with me.” Chen Jingzhai chuckled. “But, 15 beasts are only enough for all of my friends and I won’t be able to get one.”

“This is the first time a Foundation Establishment Plane cultivator actually has the nerve to ask for more from me.” The demonic king laughed bitterly. “Looks like the rumor on you killing a lord is true.”

“Oh? Even you have heard about it?” Chen Jingzhai was surprised. “Looks like the forest isn’t as detached from the Pulao Kingdom’s cultivation world as I’ve thought. Or, I dare say that we are actually deeply connected?”

“There are some things that you’ll naturally understand in the future.” The king shook his head and tossed a small horn toward Chen Jingzhai. It looked like a crude version of the horn on his head.

“Isn’t this?” Chen Jingzhai smiled. “This is the horn that you have detached when you took on a human form. It’s a rare advanced Grade 3 ingredient!”

“It is definitely rare.” The king laughed. “Count yourself lucky for getting my horn. If you find good item alchemy to process it, you might get a spiritual treasure source.”

“It’s not that easy, is it? I’ll at least need two Grade 4 ingredients if I want to create a spiritual treasure source,” Chen Jingzhai replied. “However, I still have to thank you for the precious gift.”

“Hah! Suit yourself.” The Giant Horn Brilliance King scoffed and disappeared with the five beasts he had saved. The immense pressure also disappeared with him.

Chen Jingzhai let out a sigh. Judging from the demonic king’s action, he was sure that his guess was correct. The demonic beasts would have to suffer a huge consequence if they broke the forest’s rule. However, he was not satisfied with the apology gifts.

Even though the horn was a great gift, there could be a trap in it. Chen Jingzhai was even sure that the king had laid a trap in the horn, but he wasn’t afraid of it.

He tossed the horn to the tower boy who had returned to the Primordial Essence World. No matter what trap that the demonic king had laid, it would not affect Chen Jingzhai if it was in the Primordial Essence World.

“Master Uncle!” Kong Guang exclaimed once again.

“What are you guys spacing out for? Plant some restrictions on these beasts,” Chen Jingzhai said. “They are gifts from the king so they won’t fight back.”

The 15 beasts had reverted to their original forms. Unlike the beast that Chen Jingzhai had tamed, these beasts only had one horn on their heads. It was clear that they were inferior to the elite.

They were actually more like another tribe that was affiliated with the Giant Rhino Tribe. Although they were weaker, they were still powerful beasts that had taken human forms and were good enough to become mounts for the cultivators.

The rest of the party smiled after they heard that. They started to plant their own restrictions on the beast. Chen Jingzhai was even generous enough to give each of them a spirit item-grade rope too.

Chen Jingzhai had a lot of them. Other than the ones he had personally made, there were also those that the Foundation Establishment Plane maids had tried to make.

“Treat your mounts well.” Chen Jingzhai reminded. “They won’t be able to return to their tribe any longer so they can only rely on their masters now. If you raise them well, they could even help you fight in the future.”

“We will. They are powerful beasts after all” Miao Yun smiled.

Everyone else nodded. They would treasure their tamed beasts even if Chen Jingzhai had not reminded them.

Having a powerful demon as a mount would make them the center of attention in the entire Pulao Kingdom.

Not even a Golden Core Sage could come by such a chance every day. Having a mount in the forest would make their journey easier as well.

Everyone started to communicate with their tamed beasts. The female cultivators even cleaned them with cleaning spells and those from the Soaring Clouds Clan also used Grade 2 materials to make saddles.

When the cultivators from the Elixir Twilight Clan saw that, they also followed suit, which made Sage Lu Tao shake his head. He was even more shocked when Ji Shuanghua also did the same thing. She even used the ingredient for a magic apparel to make a saddle.
