Chapter 128 - That sounded like her teacher needed to talk to her parents but Gu Xi couldn't figured out what she had done wrong. (2)
Gu Shao looked at Wang Huazhou and asked, “You have the design proposal as well?”
“Yes. Here’s a copy of it.” Wang Huazhou handed over a USB drive to Gu Shao.
This was an electronic copy that he had made for himself. He had planned on looking through it later.
“It was a smart companion tool,” said Wang Huazhou. Pausing, he added, “Your daughter did a good job on it.”
Gu Shao only took one look and he was sure that the proposal wasn’t done by Gu Yanlin.
Gu Yanlin’s majored in electronics technology. They have yet to get to that point in the design.
Gu Shao felt for certain that Gu Xi and the Shen boy would have just came up with a design proposal randomly just for the fun of it but, upon looking at it more carefully, he noticed that the idea wasn’t half bad.
Gu Shao looked over the abstract of the design concept and then the preliminary design ideas in details.
“Not a bad idea.” He commented. His calm and steady tone sounded more like an objective opinion than praising his own daughter.
“It is quite good. Your daughter’s design is very forward-looking and the whole design is relatively complete and reasonable,” said Wang Huazhou with an embarrassed smile but chimed in to agree with Gu Shao nonetheless.
“Oh right, I believe that this simulated ‘emotion’ feature mentioned here stood out particularly,” added Wang Huazhou.
He wasn’t entirely flattering Gu Shao when he said that.
Gu Shao didn’t respond but, from an angle that nobody could see, a pride that Boss Gu himself didn’t even notice flashed past his eyes.
“How would you like this handled, Boss Gu?” asked Wang Huazhou in a somewhat fawning manner.
Speaking of, NTN was the real sponsor of the Tianchuang Competition. It would be up to Gu Shao to decide how to handle this.
Looking at his “own” application, Gu Shao’s temples throbbed again.
“Chuck this application,” said Gu Shao.
Wang Huazhou’s eyes widened when he heard that. “Chuck it?”
That was the application of his own daughter.
Wang Huazhou felt for sure that Gu Shao would abuse his power and keep Gu Xi in the competition.
He didn’t think that Boss Gu was such a righteous person and even when it came to his own family.

Wang Huazhou lamented in his mind.
He felt a small regret – the project that Gu Xi and her team proposed was really quite good and stood out among the projects submitted thus far. He was quite looking forward to this one.
As truth would have it, Wang Huazhou had overthought on this one.
As soon as Gu Shao had finished saying that, he followed it up with, “I will submit an application for her later.”
Wang Huazhou gave him a puzzled look and Gu Shao said, “Let’s modified the rules a bit. We will remove the age limit and add a section for guardian information for minors.”
Now Wang Huazhou got what Gu Shao intended to do. He nodded. That would work. That was how many other competitions did it.
Except that……
If his memory served him correctly, they had ruled out many applicants early on because of the age limit.
With this change, the number of applicants for the next round would go up.
And, along with their, the amount of their work……
Nevertheless, all of these were minor problems as long as the host was happy.
“I’ll make the changes right away,” said Wang Huazhou.
Gu Shao nodded, “Alright. You go take care of that.”

Wang Huazhou was an efficient one and an announcement appeared on the top of Tianchuang Competition’s homepage shortly. In addition, the application link reopened.
Gu Shao logged in and filled out the guardian section first before filling out Gu Xi’s name, date of birth, ID number, status and school etc.
Even Xu Fei was a bit surprised when he witnessed that.
He wasn’t surprised that his boss was so “doting” toward his own child but that……
“Boss, you had Xiao Xi’s ID number etc. memorized?” Xu Fei didn’t even remember the few digits of his own ID number sometimes.
Gu Shao glanced over at Xu Fei and said to him matter-of-factly, “Of course I have my own child’s information memorized.”
Why was that surprising?
