Not too long later, a man in a grey suit in his fifties walked inside. The man was not very tall and quite plain looking. His eyes, however, suggested that he was a sharp one. Behind him was a fairly outstanding female assistant.
Qiao Luo was a Chinese born overseas.
A month ago, Qiao Luo signed a contract with NTN purchasing a technology from them and the order had now been completed. As such, it was obvious that that was not Qiao Luo’s purpose of visit today.
“Say, why is Mr. Qiao here today?” Gu Shao asked point blank.
“First, we would like to thank Boss Qiao. Our buyer was very happy with the safety equipment provided by NTN,” said Qiao Luo with a smile.
After a pause, Qiao Luo told Gu Shao the purpose of his visit today. “As you may know, Boss Gu, I have businesses internationally and there will be more orders similar to this one in the future. I hope that we will have more opportunities to work together in the future.”
Qiao Luo’s so=called “international businesses” referred to some procurement projects involving more than one country. He would sign contracts with official purchasing enterprises in certain countries and purchase specific equipment for them.
Many countries that could not openly purchase from another country would utilize these third-party companies and work through them.
Qiao Luo was this third party.
As their first time working together went very smoothly, Qiao Luo wished to have a long-term relationship with NTN.
As such, he came to pay Gu Shao a special visit today.
Gu Shao didn’t show too much expression when he heard Qiao Luo’s words. He didn’t seem too overly interested in Qiao Luo’s idea of working together long-term.
“That works,” said Gu Shao nonchalantly. He paused, then added, “But I must remind Mr. Qiao that all of our projects together must be within the confinement of the law.”
“Hahaha, of course! I understand that. Don’t worry, Boss Gu. I am a legitimate businessman.”
Qiao Luo reassured Gu Shao. He wanted to chat some more with Gu Shao but Xu Fei walked inside the office and handed a document over to Gu Shao.
“Chairman, here’s the materials for the activity that we had talked about previously and the car is ready for you,” said Xu Fei.
“You have plans in a little while, Boss Gu?”
Gu Shao nodded, “Yes. I’m afraid I won’t be able to spend more time with Mr. Qiao.”
Qiao Luo nodded and stood up voluntarily, planning to take off. “I shall take off then.”
Having said that, a lit beamed in Qiao Luo’s eyes and he asked Gu Shao meaningfully, “Perhaps Lisa can accompany you?”

Lisa was the assistant that Qiao Luo had brought with him.
Qiao Luo was a smart one and, when they had first walked inside of the room, he noticed that Boss Gu’s eyes seemed to have lingered over Lisa for an extra second or two.
Qiao Luo felt that he was quite smart when it came to certain things.
Nevertheless, Gu Shao’s eyes turned cold after hearing Qiao Luo’s words. He frowned almost unnoticeably.
“That won’t be necessary.” Gu Shao declined him right away.
Qiao Luo’s intention was obvious, but it wasn’t what he thought. Gu Shao did take a second look at Lisa earlier, but it was for an entirely different reason.
Gu Shao, however, did not need to explain himself to these two.
Had Gu Xi been there, she would notice that the woman by the name of Lisa somewhat resembled Song Kexin.
Their looks were probably only about 40-50% similar. Mostly it was the feel that they give people.
After declining Qiao Luo’s “offer” and saw them off, Gu Shao headed over to the venue of the event that night.

After school, Gu Xi, Dong Mingming, and a few of the Art Committee members arrived at the shopping mall that Dong Mingming had strongly recommended.
Gu Xi had learned of this I’live Mall before. Most of the brands and shops here provide custom-made services.
They were very high-end and, of course, very expensive.
That was Gu Xi’s impression of the place.
Luckily, the store that Dong Mingming took them to was not an overly expensive one. And, just as Dong Mingming had said so earlier, they had a huge selection.
The three of them almost got dizzy after walking around the place once.
Suddenly, the Art Committee girl pointed at a certain direction, her eyes beaming, and said, “How about that dress?”
Gu Xi looked in the direction that she was pointing at and her eyes, too, beamed.
