Meeting Gu Xi’s curious look, Sheng Xiuyan suddenly realized something, and his face stiffened up.
“You have something to ask?” asked Sheng Xiuyan. The corners of his lips tightened, and he tried very hard to force a smile on himself.
“You are very good with coding?” asked Gu Xi.
She had thought that Sheng Xiuyan was just there to cruise; she didn’t think that he knew how to code.
“No, not that good. Just mediocre, I’d say. I mean, I just started learning it. Beginner’s level, probably.” Sheng Xiuyan straightened up his back reflexively and blurted, having no idea how red his ears were right now.
“Mainly this is just going to be a simple program. It’s not that difficult,” added Sheng Xiuyan.
The more he talked, the more it sounded like he was trying to cover something up.
-- It was quite rare that Sheng Xiuyan would talk so much.
Gu Xi lifted her brows. Staring at Sheng Xiuyan for a few seconds, she finally busted out laughing. “As long as you get this.
“I know this one person who’s a master at coding. He likes to say what you’ve just said too.”
Sheng Xiuyan was surprisingly a little happy when he heard Gu Xi was referring to him as a master in coding. That being said, now was not the time for him to feel happy.
The corners of his lips stiffened some more. “Is that so?”
Gu Xi, “Aren’t you going to ask how he talks?”
Sheng Xiuyan, “How?”
“’A program is no biggie’, that,” said Gu Xi. That was how [AAA] had put it when she asked him to help her with a program for the light effect for her stage presentation.
As such, when Sheng Xiuyan said the same thing, he immediately reminded her of Bro [3A].
Nevertheless, [AAA] was a chatty one who also liked those cliché emoji. Gu Xi had always assumed that he was an older person. That image was very different from the young man that was in front of her right now.
Gu Xi suppressed her little bit of suspicion.
Sheng Xiuyan chuckled dryly, “Is that so? What a coincidence. Perhaps you can introduce us one day.”
“You might not want to meet him,” said Gu Xi seriously.
“Why not?”
Gu Xi, “…….” Because he was a chatty one.
Dong Mingming, listening to their conversation, looked from Gu Xi to Sheng Xiuyan with a peculiar look on her.
-- Why did she feel that God Xiu was a bit off today?
If she must say it, he looked a little silly?
She shouldn’t have thought that, but he really looked so silly. What should she do……

As she dissed madly in her mind, a bold idea suddenly occurred to her: Some of the boys in their class had said that Sheng Xiuyan was fond of Gu Xi. Could that be true?
Sheng Xiuyan, on the other hand, could barely hold it in.
“Oh right. I feel that we can add another sensor right here,” said Sheng Xiuyan as he pointed at a certain spot a on the schematic.
Dong Mingming, “……” That was not abrupt at all, really!
Hearing what Sheng Xiuyan had said, Gu Xi, too, put aside her suspicion and studied the schematic in details, failing to notice the relieved look on Sheng Xiuyan.
–– Sheng Xiuyan was right. They could add another sensor where he had pointed out.
Gu Xi nodded, “I’ll go get one.”
All of the parts that they needed had been prepared by assistant Wu and placed on a shelf nearby. It was easy to find.
The sensor that Sheng Xiuyan had mentioned was placed on the top shelf.
Gu Xi stood on her tip toes and realized that she couldn’t quite reach it. She was about to go look for a stool.
Sheng Xiuyan had already got up and walked over. “Let me.”
He did all those out of his guilty conscience.
His behavior, however, in Dong Mingming’s eyes, had completely different meaning.
–– Something was definitely up with this Sheng Xiuyan.
Dong Mingming rubbed her chin and thought. She even looked a little gossipy.
Over on this side, however, before Sheng Xiuyan could touch the sensor, another hand had reached over from the side and beat him to it.
“What else do you need?” Gu Shao asked Gu Xi.
He glanced over at the Shen’s boy while he was at it and his eyes darkened.
Gu Xi thought about it some, shook her head, and smiled at Gu Shao. “That’s it for now.”
“Are you done over there, Dad?” asked Gu Xi.
“Mmm,” said Gu Shao.
“Then can you come take a look and see if there’s any issue with our design?”
This was a competition. It would be cheating if Gu Shao helped them. As such, Gu Xi planned to complete it on their own.
However, it should be fine for him to take a look and offer some suggestions, thought Gu Xi.
Truth was, she just wanted to find something to occupy him so he wouldn’t be drag away by that lady earlier again.
