On the other side.
Gu Xi had no idea that the organizer of Youth Innovation Competition had already been communicating with Gu Shao or anything else that had taken place on Gu Shao’s end.
In fact, she had been so swarmed with looking for proof this week that she didn’t even have time to go online.
Gu Xi, Sheng Xiuyan, and Dong Mingming, as promised, brought all of their documentations with them over to the office building of the event organizer.
“Hi, we are from Team #7. Our topic had some issues previously and we needed to submit additional information to proof that……” Gu Xi briefly explained the purpose of their visit to the receptionist.
Gu Xi had expected more follow up questions, but the receptionist merely confirmed that they were members of Team #7 and let them through without any further questions. They didn’t even ask if they had an appointment. They just let them head toward the office and was very polite to them the entire time.
What made Gu Xi even more surprised was that the receptionist wasn’t the only one that was polite to them. Even those from the organizer in the office were very polite to them. They were even offered tea.
Gu Xi took a look at those in front of them. They were still the same individuals that they had met in the past, but their attitude was completely different.
Sitting on the couch across from them, Gu Xi pushed aside her dubious feeling and handed over a stack of documentation the thickness of a textbook.
“These are the documentation that we had gathered over the course of a week. We had elaborated on every single step of ours and added research articles that that supported them. Please take a look at them.”
The vice team lead took the materials from Gu Xi and flipped through them casually.
He merely glanced over at them, but the vice team lead was shocked. When he made the pact with the three students, he was mostly stalling. He didn’t even think that three kids like them would have been able to come up with any ways of proofing their project. He figured they would spend some time on it, be discouraged, and eventually give up
Little had he expected that Gu Xi and her team was able to produce solid proof like this in a week’s time.
The vice team lead was not an expert in this area, but he could still notice the details in the documentation. Almost every step of the way had a lot of theories explaining it along with a lot of references, even some examples.
Just looking at it was convincing enough.

In addition to feeling surprised, the vice team lead was more touched.
Regardless of whether this document was perfect, it would have taken a massive amount of time and energy. The work that was put into it was obvious.
Gu Xi was a little nervous looking at the vice team lead’s solemn look. She finally asked, after he had finished flipping through the material, “Is that good enough?”
The vice team lead chuckled. Looking at Gu Xi and the others, he made no effort in hiding his surprise. “Of course they are fine!”
Truth was, even if Gu Xi and her team didn’t come over today, the event organizer was going to reach out and had them come over. Not so much to see their proof materials, but to inform them of the newest outcome of the competition.
After all, with or without this additional information, her father had already proven their project’s feasibility in the most crude and simple way possible.
Gu Xi was delighted when she heard the words of the vice team lead. She, however, still confirmed with him. “So, our project is proven feasible and that our original grades had been reinstated?”
“That’s right.” The vice team lead nodded. “Don’t worry. Your topic had already made it through, and the newest grades had been posted online right before you arrived today. You are still in number one spot.”
They had posted the grades earlier but, less than two minutes after that, the issues with Liu Dehing’s grandson surfaced and they had to take the grades down again.
The vice team lead said what he said to comfort Gu Xi and her teammates, but his words made Gu Xi felt even more dubious than before.
She had just turned the documentations in, but the newest grades had already been posted?
This was beyond efficiency but to the point of premonition, right?
“Have I missed something?” Gu Xi looked dubiously at Dong Mingming and Sheng Xiuyan.
The two looked back at her with the same baffled look.
