Chapter 29: Inquisitor’s Inquiries

[ High Inquisitor's Chamber ]

" A mysterious hunter you say? " the High Inquisitor questions Inquisitor Kara and the others while she reports the full review of the battle.

" Yes, High Inquisitor. " the other Inquisitor answers the question as she supports Inquisitor Kara's statements about a mysterious Hunter that kills the monster in front of them.

" How can you determine that it is a Hunter that kills the Magi-Steel Mech Monster Boss? did you even catch a glimpse of what the Hunter may look like? " the Hight Inquisitor asks the question which makes the whole Inquisitors go silent, in the midst of silence Inquisitor Kara explains that she may not catch a glimpse of what the mysterious presence looked like, but she catches a glimpse of thunderous aura behind her during the monsters death.

" A thunderous aura, you say? " the High Inquisitor says he touches his chin, thinking for a minute.

For minutes, the whole chamber went silent as the Inquisitor awaited the High Inquisitor's decision. After a long time of waiting, the High Inquisitor then tells them to ignore this problem for now and asks the other inquisitors beside Inquisitor Kara to leave as he needs to talk some things with her.

After they left, the High Inquisitor then discuss some things with her as he asks about the Thunderous Aura that she felt back then.

" The Thunderous Aura is so powerful, I don't know for how long I've felt it but the aura just comes out like the flash of lightning as the sword suddenly was swung from behind me, hitting the Boss and then... " Inquisitor Kara stops as she tells that the rest of the story is like on the report.

" I see, a Thunder Gift User hmmm....? " the High Inquisitor says as he asks if the 'Thunderous Aura' she felt is the same as those from that of the renowned Inquisitor family.

" I don't know for sure, High Inquisitor... "

" Inquisitor Kara says which made the High Inquisitor sigh as he understands that this event must be mindblowing for her as he tells her to inquire more information regarding this mysterious person.

" You must uncover this person quickly Kara. You know that after the Hunter Association was built many people decide to work and use their Gifts there instead of becoming an Inquisitor. "

" Because of this, the Inquisitor's numbers are getting thin as the gods now favor those 'mercenaries' for their line of work on ridding the monsters from Earth. " the High Inquisitors explains as he still wants to maintain the old order of things and didn't want the Hunters to prevail on becoming the gods' enforcers, fearing the association's growth might affect their status, worst even, it could make the Inquisitor Order dismantled.

" So for our order's very sake, you must uncover this person before the Hunters even recruit him to their ranks. " the High Inquisitor orders her as Inquisitor Kara then leaves the chamber to fulfill her duties.

"( Now... )" Inquisitor Kara wonders where to look first.

"( Where should I look first? )" she asks herself as she still remembers how the thunderous aura felt even though it was just a brief instance.

"( Oooh gods, on who did you gave such power? )" she asks while praying to the gods as she prays to her respective god, hoping for an answer.

Seeing his clothes, the nurse immediately takes Ragna inside the hospital to check if he had some injuries, fearing that Ragna will have some fatal injuries during his journey back.

After some check-ups, the machine tells that there is nothing wrong with Ragna's body systems and the doctors permit him to return to his medic room for some resting.

" It's a busy day, isn't it? " Ragna says as he continues to sleep as he tells Twelve inside the System Space good night.

" Good night twelve, See you tomorrow morning!!! " he tells Twelve who seems to be unresponsive which Ragna had to wonder why, but he ignores it, thinking that Ragna Twelve may have been asleep earlier than him.

" He's an old man, no wonder he should've slept earlier than me. " Ragna says to himself as speaking of an old person, he suddenly remembers his grandma back home and he wonders if she will come here and worries about her condition.

" I hope she is alright at home. "

" After all, at her current age, she needs more rest instead of still working as a Healer for the Holy Temples. " Ragna says as he remembers her grandma's Gift that can heal people by biting her body as her blood will heal any damage and sickness inside one's body.

As he remembers her, Ragna then cries hoping that after he had some money, he would get his grandma out of her job as he knows that the job will kill her if she still continues in her old age.

" Grandma... wait for me ... "

" With this Leveling Power, I swear I'll also get you out of our miserable life. "
