Chapter 31: Discharged

After many weeks I have been in the hospital, I was finally discharged and it seems my grandma will be the one to take me home after finishing her usual Healer work.

Even so, I still continue doing my Daily Quests as I still believe that I need to prepare before coming back into the goddamn society that loves everyone with powers and abilities.

"( I will never be below anyone's eyes again. )"

"( I'll swear that with me leveling up, there will be no anyone who can challenge me. )" I say to myself.

"( Oh really, that's what you think after recently Leveling Up? becoming stronger yourself, not thinking about even stopping the [Universal Reboot]? )" Twelve asks me.

"( Of course not, you said yourself that we, 'I' especially, will fight the Gods and because of that I need to become stronger first in order to at least fight the Divine beings. )" I tell Twelve as I also assure that I will help him stop the Reboot while doing so.

"( I hope so.. )" Twelve answers me, telling me I was right to think of that first which made a lot of sense to him.

As we talked, finally I finished my Daily Quest as I see that my current level is 28 and need just 1.200 more EXP to gain I wanted to take more quests but when I want to take them, suddenly my room's door was knocked hard away by my grandma who comes to me so quickly as she cries.

" Gr... grandma ...? " I asked in shock, never in my life, I thought she would be this worried I wonder when did she even know I was in the hospital.

"( If I remember correctly, Grandma's Holy Temple work usually requires its healer to work a full day as the Healers working there tend to have no time to even look on their phone or hear news from outside. )" I recount some things while seeing my grandmother, thinking that she must have taken some day off and just learned about my current condition from the neighbors.. maybe.

" Ragna .... grandma is sorry for being late ....!!!! " she cries asking my forgiveness for didn't hear the news of me being like this I then tell her not to do that for the wound I have is not deep.

" It's alright grandma, no need for you to heal me with your Gift. " I say to her, knowing that with her Gift the [Treatment Lamb Blood] could easily heal my wounds with me biting her hand to drink her blood.

But, after seeing the wounds in her body, I immediately decided to not even think of that as I ask her to retire from the Holy Temple that has been using her as a treatment lamb for many years.

Hearing that, grandma then says that she was going to but still can't since she needs to gather some money for me to continue my education so I can no longer be the 'Bait' for the Hunter Association.

As I hear that, I then think to myself, considering what should I say to her I then prepare myself, telling her what I had in mind which is.

" Grandma, after being discharged ... "

" I plan to become a Hunter. " I say to her which made her shocked as I predicted.

" What did you say?... " she asks me with her shocked eyes as she then slaps me while crying she tells me to stop doing what I want to do and go home for she prepares my next education since I had been on a vacuum for two years after graduating from Junior High School.

When she says that, I then tell her that I was stronger now as I tell her I just awakened my Gift which is the Water Gift I showed her my <Water Bubble Shield> skill to assure her of my decision which shocks her as she wondered when I awakened my Gift.

Hearing that, I then told her that I have been training some things for the past few weeks and shows her the recent changes in my body which kinda assures her of my decision to become a Hunter for she is very proud that after many years, I finally awakened my Gift which fills her heart with such joy as she then hugs me.

While hugging, inside the System Space, Twelve then talks to me using our mind communication that it seems my grandma is very grateful for seeing my growth and tells me to continue Leveling Up in order to make her proud even more.

"( Even if you are cursed by the Diviners that made you be hated by everyone for no reason, you should be grateful that your grandmother is still with you all the time. )" Twelve says to me and tells me to be a good boy to her and give her a better life as he also sees the bite wounds on both of her hands which I then answered him with a simple yes while hugging my grandma as she then leaves the Medic Room and goes to the receptionist to deal with my discharge.

Before leaving, my grandma also brought me some clothes to change as I then change my clothes but suddenly a nurse came to do their regular check on patients she then sees me changing my clothes which made her quite shocked.

" Oh my..., sorry Mr. Kent ...did I  ... um .. disturb you? "

"( Wow, this patient's body is good... )"

" No, It's alright I don't mind... " I tell her as I see her face go red as I completely changed my clothes.

As I want to leave the room, the nurse then suddenly ask for my number which shocks me I ask her why she wants that and she answers that she wants to ask for my number.

" Um... it is okay if I could have your number? " the nurse asked.

" My number? "

" Yes, if you don't mind ... " she replied.

Hearing that, I wonder to myself if she asks my number to enable the Hunter Hospital to send some test results via phone messages or via phone messages apps which I then decide to give to her.

" Here you go... " I say to her as she responds to me with a red face and then goes away just like that.

"( What's wrong with her? )" I ask myself.

"( Idiot, do you have never seen that kind of face before!!!? )"

"( What kind of face? Do you mean her face that gone red..? )" I ask Twelve wondering what he found suspicious about the nurse.

"( Are you blind? that nursey likes you, idiot!!!!! )"

"( Just look at her asking your number right after seeing half of your chiseled body you hopeless nerd!!!!!! )" Twelve tells me which I just respond plainly while leaving the Medic Room to meet my grandma as we both go home.

"( The nurse liked me, there's no way right? )"

"( I mean, I am still Twelve years old right now, there's no way a woman with age probably above 19 years old would like me, right? )" I think to myself while suddenly I hear Twelve's comment inside my head.

"( You idiot, as if she cares you're still just Twelve years old!!! )".

Yes, just a Twelve-Year-old kid with the current body that looks like a tall 17-year-old kid after doing some training and quests.
