"I don't dislike hot water," Reylin sneered as he held Camila's head, "I might invite you for a vacation should the continents open."
"I will remember that," His opponent smirked before flames engulfed her.
She died again.
It was yet another loss.
However, Camila had never developed so much. Whether water or personal progress, she became a much stronger lady than before!
The loss was still a loss, and it hurt.
After Camila respawned on her island, she stared at the void, "If rumors are true, then it's background difference!"
She dropped onto the ground and smiled widely at the sky.
Her excuse was quite bland, but it erased Camila's pain.
On another island, Reylin stared at the quest log.
[Quest: Build a home for your troops.]
[You have received dark matter components...]
[Please, proceed-]
Reylin threw that quest message behind.
Out of all players in the Dark Matter Kingdom Event, Reylin hadn't built anything on his island. It remained a sand island, and his troops lived here without any roof.
Reylin wasn't doing it to bully his troops or go against the rules.
He didn't have a good feeling about this event from the beginning, so he kept himself reserved.
[Dark Matter Stone - Used as a component to build a house-]
Reylin smirked.
He used his flame artist class, and beautiful flames embraced the stone. Dark matter stone was meant for constructions, but Reylin's flames devoured that attribute.
It liquified the matter and allowed his troops to become stronger.
That was another reason why his people would be much stronger than others.
So far, Reylin used everything on his people and maintained an absurd leveling up for them. He also bought a lot of valuable magic scrolls from Layla. She even lent him a few high-level ones for a lower price and allowed his troops to become stronger than anyone else.
That was a development no one could go through except for Reylin.
Reylin wasn't worried about the next phase, which probably would begin an island versus island theme.
Even if his island was still the same, he would conquer someone else's island and make it his new home.
He believed in his strength!
And should the concept be similar to their current battles, Reylin would overwrite it with his flame artist's flames.
He would steal the island!
Reylin sneered, his eyes flickering with flames...
From another dimension, two existences stared at him with confusion and worry.
Yes, it was now two existences.
One of them was known as The Queen.
-
Reylin usually worked in Aria's Guild House.
He spent time with her as much as he could because the difference in their status somewhat distanced them more than it should.
Of course, he had already completed the seven labors.
Aria and Reylin had their time in a deep connection, which became a daily exercise for them.
They were too much into each other, and that desire would slowly stabilize over time.
After he left the rune, he appeared in Aria's office.
She was already here.
Aria looked over the window, thinking about the battle with Camila.
If Camila had her own excuses, Aria also had a few things to blame.
"Has the rubber girl taken my spot in your eyes?" Reylin smirked as he took a seat next to her.
Lioness glanced at him, "You have won against her. I am going to get haunted by your smirking smile by the end of the day, am I not?"
"Your balance is quite even, so I will spare you," Reylin patted his Lioness.
There were a few strong players that Reylin couldn't look down at all.
Although he didn't show any respect, he treated them as equals and formed a rather rival-like relationship.
Of course, some hated him genuinely.
Lioness squinted her eyes, "Yvonne is nowhere to be seen. What is her deal? That's what worries me the most. I want to beat her ass, but if she has additional help, then I need to find my own backer."
"The second layer should have Lion Races," Reylin casually said.
He knew what kind of backer Lioness was talking about.
She had been developing her own skill as well, but it was way too original.
For example, Reylin and Camila had seen their attributes from the beginning. They also had seen flames of various types and strengths... Of course, their desire for growth was also important, but Lioness didn't lack it either.
She just needed a little help.
Alas, all the lion monsters she had fought so far didn't help with her bleeding sword.
"The second layer is too far away," Lioness chuckled, "I will eventually find what I lack."
"If I get news from the Burial Ground Dungeon, we will immediately head here," Reylin added another quest for Hania, and that was to find a race from the second layer similar to what Lioness had been seeking for.
He would use all means to help her.
On the other hand, Lioness was all into the current dark matter event.
She had similar thoughts to Reylin about it, but since she couldn't find her own path yet, Aria decided to play the way the event wanted.
Her troops were skilled and strong.
Her island developed into a castle already.
She worked more than all players here and even woke up two hours earlier than Reylin. Of course, Aria didn't have to go to work or school, so she played much more and sacrificed as much as possible to the dark matter development.
In her eyes, this event could either end in both ways, "If we get an invitation to their circle, what do we do? It's either that or they will use us."
"We will see... They shouldn't invite people one by one, and you can always contact me through the game," Reylin shrugged.
He added, "Dark Matter is not the end game, so it's all up to you. In my case, I will do the same, and that is to become the flames."
"What if you lose your Flame Waifu?" Aria asked.
"That will be their death sentence," Reylin replied with a sneer.
-
[Earth.]
"I didn't expect to see you here, Reylin," Reylin's father called his son from behind.
They were currently in a cemetery, and Reylin visited his grandfather's grave. It was an old man's birthday today, so Reylin took a break from gaming for the whole day and spent it while reminiscing about his childhood.
Aria was next to him.
"It's been a while, Miss Aria," Reylin's father had seen Aria a few times, so he called her like usual.
However, his wife told him about a potential girlfriend, so his eyebrow raised, "Should I use just a name from now on?" He smiled.
"Yes, father," Aria joined her hands and called her father-in-law with a beautiful smile.
Reylin glanced behind, "You are alone?"
"Eva will catch up soon. If you want to hide your relationship until Christmas, then we should hurry up," Adam smiled.
"I guess she will find out today," Reylin wasn't in a rush.
His father nodded, then brought up flowers and candles to the grave. He lit them in silence, then prayed with just cold wind whistling in his ears.
Adam soon parted his hands and spoke with his eyes on the grave, "Father said you had dragon eyes, Reylin."
"Dragon Eyes? What kind of books did you give him?" Reylin rolled his eyes.
His father chuckled, "Don't blame me. He used to read a lot, though. But I guess that was the reason why he was lenient to you. If you ask your brothers about grandpa, they will use countless excuses to avoid that topic. Lawrence might even use a few clauses to avoid that topic. Haha!"
Lawrence was the second son and lawyer.
Reylin didn't have any problems with imagining that scenario.
At last, Reylin's mother had caught up.
She saw her husband and Reylin, but also Aria next to him.
From afar, she just went, "Oh? Hmmm."
Despite the cold wind, that was pretty loud, so Reylin and Adam turned around.
Aria also followed their gaze, and she flinched.
What she saw was mother-in-law, but her smile was so wide it was terrifying. It was beautiful, but it gave off an aura of predator!
Aria braced herself for whatever was about to come at her.
For Reylin, that smile was different.
It was a smile that told him that his mother had read him like a book and that she had won the bet! Her son would be at their Christmas Party, and it made her so happy she skipped her away toward them.
Adam and Reylin turned around silently, not commenting on that smile.
Aria greeted her mother-in-law, then she received an invitation to Eva's car. It seemed like both of them would have some time for themselves.
"These two can be left to each other," It seemed like their silence to her happiness irritated Eva.
Adam coughed, "Eva. Do you remember the dragon eyes father had talked about?"
"Everyone is a dragon in our family," Eva replied, "But I do remember. That's why I made Reylin try drawing first. Dragon Eyes sounded like he would be able to bring out everything he saw through drawing or other artistic skills."
"Ah, that's true..." Adam coughed.
"Are you growing old, darling?" Eva teased.
Adam burst out laughing, "I will live enough to see two generations! Perhaps, even more!"
"Ah, you have really grown too old," Eva shook her head.
"On the contrary, it seems like mother is getting younger," Reylin sneered, "Don't get tempted for any operations, father."
"Operations, he said. My Crown will never fall off my head! What operation? This father's charm can not be erased or fixed by any means," Adam raised his chin and looked at his family.
