While Emilia listened to the shocking stories about Milkyona, her brother-in-law was looking for teleportation information.
Crown Liam had hefty knowledge about these from the future, but he couldn't utilize nor test it with his own body here.
It was different here, and he openly spoke about it with other humans.
One of those humans laughed, "Lord Changnam helped us extensively here! It's thanks to him that our teleports work so flawlessly... You don't have to run away, though. Our goddess will save everyone soon!
Our enemies, Infernal Diable, will soon perish! We will erase them all!" They spoke about their goddess with confidence, sharing news about the impending war.
It was a delight to Crown Liam's ears.
He studied teleportation magic's theory while listening to those humans. He showed blatant interest in those, yet no one found it suspicious.
Many problems would be solved on their own should humanity get better at teleportation magic!
"Infernal Diable... Those have the best advantage against our goddess. Not only are their fire resistances high, but they also fly! They fly so fast that the goddess' volcano misses them!" Humans complained again.
They often complained as that was part of their nature.
Meantime, Crown Liam found an intriguing clue.
'The future's teleportation uses their own mana... This one forces users to pour their own mana... This, and the basic skill circle I've received just now, should help us solve the jamming entirely...' Crown Liam inferred.
At that time, a woman in red armor stepped into the tavern.
Her eyes pierced through Crown Liam, and her rosy lips called him out, "You! You are one of the newcomers, aren't you?"
"Yes?" Crown Liam replied with courtesy and calmness.
That was entirely unexpected for the lady, and she stuttered, "Y-You can't be freeloaders! You either join one of our divisions, or we will give you citizen's work."
"But of course," Crown Liam smiled, and his smile dismantled the lady.
As the Crown, he was naturally blessed with handsome looks. Those were rare in the Hono Kingdom, and he also had foreign charm.
The lady in armor stood dazed, then whispered, "Follow me... We need to find your other buddies."
Crown Liam bid farewell to talkative guys in the tavern, then followed the lady.
He told his people about her through the system that was obviously only unique to their party. All slowly found him, acting as if their meeting was coincidental.
Emilia was the last one to reunite...
"What are the divisions in the army?" Crown Liam asked as everyone from his side gathered around him.
A lady replied, "The main army is to become the soldiers for our goddess. That's the primary division. Other divisions include scouting and goods delivery. In every division, you need to practice teamwork with your companions.
But looking at you, you all move in an orderly manner. I believe you've foiled enough! That's why I advise you to join the scout division and just keep an eye on possible threats around our kingdom's lands," she concluded.
"We will enter the scout division then," Crown Liam responded immediately.
Thinking that it was his show of trust, the lady blushed and nodded rather cutely... If it was the future, all people around Crown Liam would've sneered already. It seemed like this man had charmed another lady!
They held their feelings back and followed the Crown.
He parted his lips and spoke through the system chat, "We will be able to see Reylin without any problem in the scout division. It seems they will let us move freely... So much trust in humanity would've been surprising if we didn't see those images, right?''
All agreed.
The devastating images from Changnam's screen still influenced the party. Breeding cows and blatant cruelty and racism were just the worst.
It was also the reason why no one entered their team to keep an eye on them.
They all believed in humanity!
Emilia then said, "Has anyone else heard about Milkyona? I just can't believe what I've heard so far... This is really unbelievable! Either she is really like that, or she hides her arrogance well!"
"Our way back is to see her deeds. The incoming war should be one of those deeds," Crown Liam said, "I've told Reylin about it already. Let's join those scouts, then meet with him. I also got a few teleportation basic manuscripts."
"Oh? What about the second layer?" Emilia asked curiously.
Her brother-in-law sighed, "No information so far. It would be better to ask other races."
"Oh, got it!" Emilia nodded.
-
"They also gave you new clothes," Reylin sneered.
His friends and close ones returned to his side a few hours later. They explained a lot through the system, so there weren't any surprises other than a new set of clothes. Of course, their quality was just poor.
Crown Liam shrugged, "Their level requirement is 50... I think everyone around us is pretty weak. It should make things easier for us as we have to teleport to a few continents."
"Indeed... I am worried about those Infernal Diable, though... There's no date for the war, and we can't spend days here," Reylin replied, then pondered with his eyes closed.
Butterfly Effect.
That weighed on Reylin's heart so much that he didn't want to stay here anymore. It was all fun and interesting, but the future could change so drastically that he would rather keep his curiosity quenched.
Alas, that was impossible...
"I will force Infernal Diable to attack Milkyona," Reylin said after a while of contemplation.
With his finger on his glasses, Crown Liam asked, "Are you sure?"
"I am," Reylin stood up, and his Crimson Dragon became two times bigger than its master.
In this size, Reylin was the only one who could saddle his beast, and that was how he would scare the other race!
