Elizabeth’s chest heaved up and down as her lungs finally had reconstructed themselves, tears still leaking from her eyes but her hands each remained over her mouth as she just lay there…

Where you may ask? A random rooftop - showing her quick wit she realized that she likely couldn’t escape while not being able to even breath so using the time she somehow bought via sacrificing so much health.

She couldn’t be sure due to how fast it happened but that felt like at least half of her little {Health} bar… Well not so little considering she survived that in the first place but it wouldn’t be far fetched to say that if either her {Vit} or {Con} was lower she wouldn’t have been able to escape…

Hell, they may not be able to do their whole goal of ‘capturing her alive’...

<{Hero} powers are scary…>

That is one of the many things she has concluded from this whole situation. She heard the scurrying of guards under her now and again as well as the constant shouting at anyone they came across.

On top of that she suddenly felt… Off? Like a faint tingle in the back of her head. Not painful but just… Discomfort?

“Where’s the fucking monster child! Oi, you?!” <Random Guard>

“Shit, shit, shit! Are you kidding me, I didn’t sign up for this shit… How are we supposed to fight against a monster that can send 50 men flying with a roar?! That ain’t a person!” <Random Guard>

“Where’s the girl street whore?! It’s a decree from the lord - she needs to be found!” <Random Guard>

It would seem that the city lord wasn’t pleased that his guards got tossed around like rag dolls.

<| Congratulations {Title} {Monster Child} Earned Through Recognition |>

<Great, day one of becoming a {Hero} and they already want you captured, what a great city~!>

Letting her hands both fall to the sides as she coughed up a last bit of tissue and blood - if she knew anything about her body she may even be able to tell exactly what blew up inside of her~.

<Lets not do that again. Was that the same ability I used to kill the bald guy? Why did it go so differently; why is this all too complicated for a kid like me to figure out!>

Closing her eyes as she tried to internalize her complaints as all her built up sadness over yesterday and such slowly became more of a raging inferno in her gut. She began to gnash her fangs against one enough to let out a grinding noise.

<Actually, wasn’t I supposed to get some help?! What the hell Mr/Mrs Voice - wasn’t that plain bullshit?! Everyone’s against me! I haven’t even met one person so far in  this godforsaken world that’s even helped me or even looked at me with more than disgust! If anything that needs a {Hero} to come clean up it’s these shitty people… Maybe that’s it? Yea maybe I should just get real strong and send a big fire-{Breath} down onto this city to set it all aligh-!>

“Are you okay? It seemed like that attack took a lot out of you?” <Angelic Voice>

As she was about to get up she felt a soft hand rest upon her chest causing her eyes to open wide in shock - the hand was slender and accompanied by painted pink nails (something that she hadn’t seen yet) so surprised her. But hearing that voice she couldn’t help but softly spurt out.

“Mommy…” <Elizabeth>

Her mind suddenly returning from it’s somewhat irrational, childish tantrum to remember the one person who kept her going all this time. Or rather, the voice that had. She didn’t know why but tears formed in her eyes once again as she brought her right arm up to her face, letting her forearm rest over her eyes as she just silently stayed there for a while as she heard the woman fumble around at surprise at the girl's little outburst.

“Sorry, did it hurt when I pressed down while I was checking for wounds. Not all Half-{Dragon}s get regeneration at a high level… But I must say High-Dragons are impressive for sure…” <Angelic Voice>

She let herself be soothed for a second but then the woman's voice changed towards the last line - sounding like it was studying her.

That’s when it occurred to her - she was on this roof alone…

Cold sweat ran down her brow as she quickly reached towards her left side - away from the woman to stumble and get some distance from the woman. Turning towards her with her mouth open - showing her fangs and holding her hands up like a beast ready to claw out some giblets!

“Ah - your reaction time is decent but it seems you let your mind wander a bit.” <Angelic Voice>

The woman just chuckled while looking at the girl. The woman was blonde but her hair had black spots inside it - her ears were also elongated just like the Receptionist Abby but they were fuzzy with black fur covering the skin. Her eyes - a beautiful cyan that took up all of Elizabeth’s vision - looked calmly at the girl with a faint but warm smirk on her face.

She had faint white skin and a slender frame like that of a wood elf but wore a white shirt that would hang from her shoulders and cover  the sides of her chest but left the bottom of her modest cleavage up to her neck as well as her stomach fully exposed. She may not have been the biggest in the world but she was at least a B. Not big in  That wasn’t even the worst of it as she would be wearing a very short black skirt that would likely not even reach half way down her plentiful thighs…

And she was currently in a squat with her elbows resting on her knees and hands upon her cheeks to support her head as she watched Elizabeth… Not worrying about showing the girl her white peeking out from her equally plentiful butt-crack and puffy front…

She may not be huge but… Shaking her head Elizabeth would get her thoughts under control upon noticing her burning cheeks - not even really understanding why herself. Eyes focusing on the girl as she would decide to see what she was dealing with!

“... Fuck” <Elizabeth>

“Language missy~” <Alicia>

“Sowy… Wait, no! You're a prostitute?!” <Elizabeth>

The realization that against this woman she, simply put, was outclassed in basically everything was indeed surprising. If she wanted to this woman could have already ended her life - although there was no sign of a spear she was skillful at light magic and approaching such with arcane… Whatever that meant. Probably wasn’t good for Elizabeth if used on her chest a point blank!

But, what shocked her even more than that to be honest - which was why she wasn’t in a cold sweat but instead with her mouth wide open in disbelief - was that this angelic woman was in fact an ex-{Prostitute} and currently owned a brothel!

<Wait a second… She also has {Appraisal Control}! I can’t even surprise her like I did with the pair in the alleyway!>

Yes, no matter how you put it, Elizabeth only won over the pair in the alleyway by making use of surprise attacks to take them out. And, at best assuming that they were both humans, they were about D-Class which meant miles behind their woman in terms of {Attributes} and {Skills}.

<Wait… Why does she have levels in whip user but no {Class}->

Her thought was cut off by the woman who would suddenly speak up while going over the woman’s {Status} again.

“Ah~ You shouldn’t open peoples {Status} like that dear - they feel a sense of discomfort when you do that. I couldn’t help myself and took a peek at you when you weren’t paying attention since I was curious. Sorry about that.” <Alicia>

Softly bowing her head and bringing her hands to clap in front of her forehead as she said sorry, causing Elizabeth’s cheeks to become red again.

“A-ah no it’s fine… W-wait that’s not the problem why are you here anyway! I don’t have money and I’d rather die than work in a brothel!” <Elizabeth>

Elizabeth lifting her hands up in prime gouging position.

“Well we can’t let that happen so how about we both calm down for a second, okay? I mean no harm - I just want to chat a bit.” <Alicia>

Lifting her left hand over her slender yet full lips as she gave a warm chuckle at Elizabeth’s ‘eagerness’ but it didn’t feel like she was looking down on her the same as that handsome lord was. Rather it felt more like she thought Elizabeth was just ‘cute’.

Which in turn made Elizabeth’s cheeks redden as she thought she may have been a bit ‘excited’ due to her previous day of ‘activities’. Just thinking about it made her hunch over and rub her stomach softly. Always the solar plexus...

“I mean… How can I trust you? I don’t mean to be rude but...” <Elizabeth>

She couldn’t help but find her gaze wandering down to that fully exposed cleavage and at the skirt which, indeed, didn’t even reach the halfway mark to the woman's thighs.

“Let me ask you a question, what’s wrong with working as a prostitute? Oh and because you think I’m an ex-prostitute let me just tell you that a Courtesan is just a wealthy person's prostitute.” <Alicia>

“That’s because… Well isn’t it what they were going to force me to become one because nobody else wants to work as one because people don’t like being bad?” <Elizabeth>

“Are you a bad girl?” <Alicia>

“Of course not! I’m the bestest girl!” <Elizabeth>

“Then why are all those guards are all those guards after you? Even if you haven’t already earned a {Title} you surely will soon and I doubt it to sound any better than mine…” <Alicia>

Her caring gaze softened into one of worry as her warm grin also fell into a soft grin. This act alone made a pang occur in Elizabeth’s heart for even doubting her.

“I understand I think, sorry… But why are you still working as one when you are so strong?” <Elizabeth>

“Ah, unlike you I grew up in one and met… Well you could say I just came to enjoy it? I suppose you don’t actually know what a {Prostitute} actually does other than work in a ‘brothel’?” <Alicia>

Seeing Elizabeth look away to the side with a blush, no longer defensive at all with her hands rubbing her upper arms softly despite clearly having a level of {Con} where a little bit of wind wouldn’t make her feel cold, how could Alicia not give a hearty laugh.

“Ah, it doesn’t matter. Just think about us like… Like a playmate but for adult games?” <Alicia>

“Like drinking the white pee from men? I saw a bunny lady being made to do it in the slums - Oh, oh, I also saw a cat lady take it in her poop chute! Isn’t that weird?!” <Elizabeth>

Blinking a few times in shock at the pure innocence displayed in front of her she gave another chuckle and couldn’t help but come forth to ruffle Elizabeth’s blood covered, messy, violet bob cut… Well if you could even consider this hastily cut hair a haircut and not a butchers work. Somewhat to both’s surprise Elizabeth reprimanded the other but instead just stayed there with her head lowered; enjoying the others presence for a moment.

Coughing softly Alicia finally pulled away her hand and spoke.

“Something like that… Anyway, I don’t suppose you know the name of your mother?” <Alicia>

Elizabeth’s face instantly darkened and shoulders slumped.

“I… I didn’t even know what race she was till today…” <Elizabeth>

“It was the same as you, your Elizabeth Jr. Her name was Elizabeth  but we all called her Eel as clients don’t tend to like elven names due to finding it hard to say and she was a High-Elf. Worked where I did before I owned it. I renamed it when I got the deed 5 years ago…” <Alicia>

Suddenly looking up at the woman in front of her - her own eyes large and round as she stared at the woman in surprise. Her cogs were turning in her head at a rate it was surprising Alicia didn’t hear them - trying to figure out if it was a good thing or not.

“S-so you named it after my-” <Elizabeth>

This time it was Alicia’s turn to look away as she took a deep breath before letting out a long sigh. Falling onto her left knee so that the 5’10 and 3’11 girl could be as close as possible to eye level to each other. Putting her right hand on Elizabeth's shoulder before speaking in a calm voice.

“Your mother was something along the lines of a really important person to me, it’s one of my greatest regrets that I wasn’t able to take care of her so when I arrived back I thought maybe… Maybe I could figure out what I could do for her. Back then I assumed that… I assumed that the city lord would’ve taken you in because you were a {Dragon}s child from a {High-Elf} - that you would be living up high without even thinking Eel - but seeing you today I realized that…” <Alicia>

Lowering her head as he voice cracked softly, slowly lowering her head onto Elizabeth’s chest as the woman’s strong appearance broke into that of a girl at ‘her realizations’. Not even caring about the dried blood on the cloth the girl wore.

“He didn’t even remember her like I didn’t you! I was just like him. I’m sorry, it’s all my fault.” <Alicia>

Meanwhile Elizabeth, would just be standing stock-still. She had already guessed a lot of this, she was a sharp child even if lacking a lot of worldly knowledge (they do say true wisdom is knowing you have more to learn). This was just confirming a lot of her assumptions and perhaps correcting some other things.

But that wasn’t important to her right now.

“It’s okay.” <Elizabeth>

<Because, someone else cared about mother and remembers her…>

Maybe it helped that she was a beautiful woman but now there was someone else in this shitty city that cared about the things Elizabeth cared about. That remembered that sweet, caring woman for who she really was. Someone who could explain to her why it wasn’t bad that her mother had an unfavourable job. That-

“I promise you I won’t abandon you again Elizabe-” <Alicia>

“Eel.” <Elizabeth>

“What?” <Alicia>

Looking up at Elizabeth with surprise on her moist eyes, softly swollen with crimson cheeks.

<Ah, I’m getting butterflies~>

“I want to continue on mommy’s name and everyone calls her Eel right?” <Eel>

Standing up and moving her right index to wipe away her tears, Alicia faced Eel. Smiling a beautiful, warm, full face smile that seemed to blow away the cold winds of the morning. Eel’s poor little cheeks not getting any time to rest have become even more red-faced looking at her.

Holding out a hand to take the tomato to her new home.

“Right, Eel, pleased to meet you. You can call me Ali - it’s what they call me at work.” <Ali>

That then would be filled with an awkward silence which caused Ali to tilt her head softly to the side at the awkward said silence.

“Are you okay Eel?” <Ali>

“Eh? Ah! Y-yes, pleased to meet you!” <Eel>

Said the little girl, quickly grabbing the hand as if afraid it would be taken away from her.

However, she needn’t have worried about that…

I mean, when they got onto the streets one look from Ali was enough to send the guards away like dogs with their tails between their legs - even for the cat-man!
