Anyways, enjoy~♥

An intense whirlwind of blades erupted atop the first mountain peak of the {Moolesh Mountain Range} as the trio went for each other's necks.

Then again, it was more accurate to say that both Jeeves & Eel were trying their best to compete with the overwhelming might of legion. With a total of four sword wielding arms they managed to keep both attacks at bay. The beastified Eel charged with her spear to try running the giant through however the insectoid-puppet just knocked the weapon aside with their bottom left while trying to return the favour with the bottom right sword.

Luckily the fox-girl had wonderful dexterity so moved her sword to defend her chest yet the power behind the blow still sent her flying across the ground. Jeeves tried to take advantage of this to leap into the air to cleave the pseudo-demon lord in half with their blade. In response to this the spirit infused puppet didn’t so much as turn their head around - just lifting their two remaining swords above their head to catch the blade of the weakened undead monster.

“This is just getting sad; as times go on you are only getting weaker and weaker yet you still hang on trying to stop the inevitable.” <Legion>

Shaking their head, the demon pushed their swords up to send Jeeves upwards again before turning around while thrusting their lower left greatsword. An abyssal magic infused into the blade before erupting out into a magic spear. The monster managed to use their own sword to block yet they got propelled further into the air. Then, as if predicting the hero, Legion swung their other lower sword to bat away a spear of light which was aimed towards them.

Following up they had abyssal magic fill their two raised swords while turning to face the little hero head on with their melevaonet black-flaming eyes meeting hers.

“[Abyssal Magic - Grand Catastrophe]!” <Legion>

Swinging their sword down heralds the arrival of what can only be called a maelstrom of abyssal magic that appeared to erupt from below the earth itself. As if something was sealed within the mountain had finally broken out - shadows bubbled from below the rocky ground which had no choice but to crumble into the darkness. Tendrils hungrily whipped out from the shadows as if trying to claim anything to drag into the monstrous abyssal maws.

Eel knew fine well nothing good was going to happen when she saw Legion swing their swords she leapt into the air, yet upon seeing the wide range destruction even she was shocked.

<To create such destruction without any form of ritual… She must have made either her swords or armour into a magic catalyst- actually scratch that completely. If it’s that crazy plastic princess’ work there is no doubt she likely made both high grade catalysts for her abyss magic. On top of that I’ve already seen what she can do with those swords; honestly I’m not sure what to do since Jeeves is so weakened even I could beat him up now fufufu~!>

Even as the world was collapsing under her she couldn’t hide her grin - her fangs fully barred as she swung her sword while enhancing it with light mana. Sure enough another abyssal spear erupted from below and tried to remove her head from her body. Her own sword managed to cut through it thanks to using the opposing element.

The abyss seemed to retreat to whether it came from yet looking at below showed that the mountain peak was now flawlessly smooth. Eel landed without much trouble while the giant just stood there motionlessly with all swords lowered as if not interested in fighting any more. Tilting her head softly the hero wondered what her opponent was doing yet Legion spoke before she could.

“This is truly pitiful; dost thou truly believe it is best to continue this useless struggle rather than making this easy for all involved?” <Promicarus>

“Yes~!” <Eel>

A metallic sigh exited from the flaming mouth while the giant turned their head to look towards the town below.

“That is the reason thou will never be able to overcome me; unfortunately for thou I am not the only one with the ability to act.” <Legion>

“Munzumira right~? So what if she comes for me - just means you can’t win without your little mommy getting involved fufufu~!” <Eel>

“Foolish as always, as if Munzumira truly cares which one of us wins, her only goal is to create a being able to connect both the {Spirit World} and {Demon Realm}. All she desires is more power with her objective this time being to usurp the throne of the {Demon God Empress}. However she only has till the demons reincarnation reaches maturity since launching an attack after that girl recovers her full strength would be suicidal…” <Legion>

After saying that the pseudo-demon lord took her stance once more while obviously planning to fight Eel head on. On the other hand Elizabeth was slightly shocked at the knowledge she just received yet at the same time, did it really matter to her? She hadn’t even met a real demon except for her little succubus.

If the {Demon Realm} really fell it may be troublesome for that succubus though so Eel had all the more reasons to not fall here!

“Thou likely believe that if thou wins everything will work out fine… Yet dost thine truly think that monstrous woman would leave thou with no motivation to work for her. Most likely her greatest pawn at the moment is heading straight to the town in order to claim thine little cow while dealing with all others involved with thou.” <Legion>

Eel just offered a smug smile.

“Heh~ I don’t need to worry about that since I have the support of a mom of my own~!” <Eel>

But…

“That simplicity is why I must ask thine to offer their life to myself.” <Legion>

*SLCHING*

From behind Eel the ground erupted to reveal the {Pseud-Godhunter} Promicarus was attempting to summon before. The knight had no issues with sullying their honour as they rammed their sword straight through her back to destroy her heart. Spitting up blood all Eel could do was look confused at the skull-like helmet.

A guard was looking out over the wall of the town to be welcomed with a thick mist that blocked his sight completely; having a slightly black tint yet he wasn’t worried.

“It’s really thick today…” <Guard 1>

“Yet despite us having seen such a scene plenty the guild master wet his pants and ordered all the gates to be closed in case we get attacked from the mountain.” <Guard 2>

At the western gate of {Moolesh Mountain Town} the guards were currently manning the walls with the gates below being sealed tightly shut allowing no one to enter or exit. For some reason unknown to the guards, the leader of the adventurers guild used his power within the noble-less city to command them to close the gates. This was only possible due to the adventurers essentially having pushed the baron out of the town making the guards who were technically working under said baron displeased.

It was exactly this attitude that made them lazy & corruptible over the years as they refused to actually do their duty; instead talking amongst themselves while mocking the guild master.

“I guess that old man has gone completely senial to be worried about some golems.” <Guard 1>

“The adventurers act so high and mighty yet they can’t even take out a bunch of pebbles; at this rate the baron will be able to return us to the heights of the past!” <Guard 2>

Of course, they were common gate guards not scholars so had no idea of the actual situation involved between the guild as well as their lord. To commoners the height of power will always be the noble who they worked for. Obviously their lord who was living comfortably in the capital on the ‘pocket money’ the guild master was giving him wouldn’t return to a shit hole.

Moolesh was well off yet no way the luxuries of an adventurer/mining town could compare in any way to that of the capital of Orrid. At least this town couldn’t - certain individuals would certainly prefer the hobgoblin hookers of {Gobberz Kingdom} or the advanced commodities belonging to the {Indigo-Stratos Empire}. Mere guards would just believe those were a gigantic monster den in the mountain range and a dystopian kingdom jealous of what they are so they use propaganda to make up unbelievable stories.

In truth there was no power in this world that could comprehend the depths of power which was the latter while the former held a monster that even Munzumira couldn’t predict.

“Maybe we should deal with that old man as well as his adventurers so that we can welcome the lord back with pride!” <Guard 2>

“We’ll be rich when we succeed in taking over the city.” <Guard 1>

That was also rather dumb idea since where would the money come from? To the low level guards this was a stupid question - when you had a town/city you earned money hence why all nobles were rich. On top of this they knew many merchants came in and out which would mean the town was truly a treasure trove; which anyone who knows about how big a play adventurers play could point out as stupid.

Unfortunately for the pair they would never have the chance to have someone explain the basics of how a functioning economy works.

“Huh, is there something moving!” <Guard 1>

“Probably just some creature; just shoot an arrow and it’ll go running hahaha~!” <Guard 2>

As he said that he grabbed one of the bows resting against the wall while hitching an arrow on the string before pulling it back. Looking into the mist he too indeed noticed the faint movements of something slowly approaching the city - seeing this a grin formed on his face as he took aim towards the faint figure. The first guard turned to his companion before letting out his doubts about the situation with a slightly concerned tone.

“What happens if it’s a person?” <Guard 1>

Turning to his fellow guard, the second man offered a sadistic grin, before saying a single line.

“So what if it is~.” <Guard 2>

Releasing the arrow without even looking which quickly soared through the air into the mist in the general direction of the figure in the mist. However, the guard wasn’t exactly a legendary archer who had spent years learning from his mistakes and improving on the battlefield. It was impressive that the arrow ended up in the path of the moving figure, never mind actually hitting them.

“Damn I missed… Huh they’re still approaching?” <Guard 2>

Indeed the figure hidden by the smog was only getting larger showing their steady approach hadn’t stopped at all. Soon a general humanoid shape appeared, a great gait clear as they moved steadily with a confident strut, with not even so much as hesitation. Being the person who shot an arrow at the figure the second guard was angered.

“Who are y-” <Guard 1>

“That was a warning - continue approaching and I’ll shoot you dead!” <Guard 2>

His threat to the figure didn’t stop but instead seemed quite amused as soon the light from the lanterns at the gate flickered before completely turning out. Despite this the figure only became even more clear even if they appeared menacing; two bubblegum pink ‘eyes’ with a large tooth grin appeared upon her face. The guards instantly seemed to have a deep sense of dread fall over them upon seeing the figure yet couldn’t do anything to stop it.

Before they could speak up again the humanoid figure moved one of their hands up past their shoulder where they seemed to have a staff of some kind. They spoke no words yet the pressure the two guards felt was beyond anything they had ever experienced before so could only silently watch. There was no haste in the figures' actions as they slowly pulled one of the two ‘staffs’ from their back holding it in a weird way using a handle that was attached on the bottom; pointing the ‘staff’ towards the wall.

Still there was no clear magic forming at the top of the ‘staff’ so after a minute of silently staring at the figure who was now also pulling the second ‘staff’ from their back.

“Wha-” <Guard 2>

*PANG*

A flash of light appeared at the end of the ‘staff’ while the first guards ears rung making him turn to look towards his ally in confusion. Only he got to see was the wide open eyes of his friend as bloody dribbled down from between those very same eyes; the man falling backwards. The guard immediately turned back to the figure to see them spinning the ‘staff’ while pointing the second one towards him.

“What witchcra-” <Guard 1>

*PANG*

Like that he too fell to the ground with his eyes wide open while many of the guards in the distance hurried to the loud sounds near the west gate. Upon arriving they only saw the two dead with holes in their head facing towards the outside. Seeing that the captain decided to see what could have happened yet saw the slowly approaching figure who was holding the two ‘staffs’ towards them.

“St-!” <Guard Captain>

*PANG*

A third joined the dead making all the guards hurriedly hide behind the waist high wall that was above the gate. Some were already holding their ears while crying yet others were braver with one even going to look over the wall. Upon moving his eyes slightly above the wall he saw the figure as well.

“There app-!” <Brave Guard>

*PANG*

Yet another died.

Any time one of them revealed themselves to try to get any information they would instantly be killed before they could get more than a word from their mouth. With that being the case it wasn't surprising that the bravery of the guards quickly vanished as they could only weep behind the walls. Even then they were afraid the weeping would reveal them so even that ended up being muffled making the sight truly pitiful.

It was at that time when someone who wasn’t brave but at the very least slightly smarter decided to speak up to his comrades who otherwise would remain unmoving.

“If we all go up at the same time and launch our arrows we may be able to take out whatever enemy there is out there.” <Smarter Guard>

“H-how?” <Random Guard>

“... Shit I’ll count down from ten then we all do it.” <Smarter Guard>

Just like that they all tightly clenched their bows while pulling out an arrow each while praying to the god of light that all their good deeds in their life will grant them luck. Of course, very few of them were individuals who could even be called people in the world outside of Orrid. Being a guard in Orrid essentially guaranteed you would be paying a heavy price to the {Demon Realm} on their way through reincarnation.

None of them blamed him for stuttering and as soon as that ‘one’ came from his mouth most of them rose to launch arrows towards the fog. This was the first time any of them saw the figure in the fog so were taken by surprise however many still took another arrow from their quivers to fire again. Obviously the figure wasn’t just going to take the attacks sitting down.

*PANG*

Another guard fell as the arrows drew nearer yet even then the pink eyed stranger showed no fear towards them. Instead they broke into a cartwheel after cartwheel as the arrows landed into the ground behind them. Spinning the handle of their ‘staff’ to show off it was some form of lever while pointing the second towards the crowd of cards yet again.

*PANG*

Yet another guard fell and before the second volly could come they lifted their first ‘staff’ while spinning the one they just fired from.

*PANG*

Then another fell as the guards hesitated, which was enough time to life the newly reloaded weapon with a sadistic grin that somehow pierced through the shadowy veil.

*PANG*

At this point all the motivation the guards had had fallen yet they still had an arrow within their bow so proceeded to release the string. Arrows fired forward once more only for the stranger to charge forward causing the arrows to land behind them. This caused the guards to break into a sweat while trying to run away however-

*PANG*

*PANG*

Two more of the guards fell as they vanished under the shadow of the wall which once protected them, making the guards lose sight. Still they had no intention of standing there so turned tail to run across the wall - scared that the monster would be able to break through the gate if they directly tried to run. At this point there were only twelve guards left as they only had twenty eight with this monster already taking out more than half.

Before they could get very far there was a flash of bubblegum pink light followed by a rush of heat that made them all stop and turn to look behind them once more.

What they saw made them feel cold in spite of the heat which was melting the stone walls despite its proximity to it. The figure of the fearsome bounty hunter, one they didn’t recognise and shouldn’t even exist in their lifetime as normal humans, was gracefully floating there with phoenix wings made from bubblegum pink flames. Somehow the bright pink features on the fearsome military personage only made the being even more terrifying.

A brief feeling of relief occurred when the monster placed their weapons back in their holsters yet this relief was short lived. The demon's left hand vanished under the military jacket upon their shoulders - reaching for something under their right armpit - while their right hand hovered in front of their chest as if waiting for something. Although they couldn’t see anything they could feel that demonic entities eyes darting between them while their fingers twitched in excitement at gunning them down.

Just when they were about to turn to run once more the peace broke and the demon whipped out another weapon they didn’t understand.

*DANG**DANG**DANG**DANG**DANG**DANG*

Their finger pulled down on the trigger while their hand danced across the top to fan the hammer getting all the shots out. Adjusting the weapons muzzle they managed to immediately cut the number of remaining guards in half; they weren’t done yet. Spinning the weapon in their left hand to put the weapon into their holster while the right moved under the other armpit.

Much to the remaining guards despair the monster pulled out a second of the weapon that quickly destroyed six heads of their companions. They tri-

*DANG**DANG**DANG**DANG**DANG**DANG*

Finally all the guards of the city were dead before anyone even had the chance to consider supplying them with help. The one responsible span the weapon in front of them while pulling out a cigar which they lit with the heat from the barrel. Their gaze now turned towards the town with a satisfied smile upon their face.

“Lasst uns diese Färse finden.” <Kaiser Mantis>
