“So what is the ‘plan’ for training over the next few years?” <Eel>

Eel asked with a pout on her face as she rubbed her nose carefully.

Alexis using a handkerchief she pulled out of nowhere to dab the violated tinged blood from the dragon's nostrils. Even if she had been dropped by Mother - her regeneration was just as strong as ever - she had already recovered completely.

At the moment both, the older vixen & young kit, were seated upon the steps of the decently sized cabin atop one of the many mountains within the {Moolesh Mountain Range}. In terms of position it wasn’t too far away from the capital of {Gobberz} as well as {Orrid} for the trio of beasts - it only took them a couple hours to arrive here while keeping a leisurely pace.

For a normal party of adventurers though? It would be a massive hike for even a party of C-Rankers as there were many powerful beasts - the [Wyvern] & [Giant Green Lizard] that Eel fought were both plentiful within the mountain range. To make matters worse… They weren’t even considered that strong and that wasn’t even mentioning the trek was a very long one which would take days for a human; this wasn’t taking into account the terrain nor monsters.

However, it also just so happened that the more dangerous an area was, the stronger the instincts of the beasts & monsters located there would be. Those who were weak wouldn’t be able to develop as strong of an instinct while those who remain unchallenged would have no need to have them.

This was also why strong beasts who ‘escaped’ were considered more dangerous than those who were born & raised in their area.

Because of that, those monsters knew fine well that it would be a suicidal endeavour to actually dare attack the group of foxes. May have also had something to do with Bloodleaf having lived here for an uncertain amount of time - even if he hung up his swords… He was undoubtedly still one of the strongest demons in existence thus had a pension for violence.

Not to mention that - even if he had stopped cutting people down whenever they bothered him - he still hadn’t become a vegan despite growing strawberries. If there are countless lizards that happen to buzz around a renowned yet hungry dragon slayer, well, it doesn’t take a genius to figure things out.

For this reason the {Moolesh Mountain Range} was only known to be traversed by the indigenous cow-kin tribes who managed to somehow thrive despite the challenges. They used to share the blessing of the mountain range with the surrounding civilisations… Yet there is always someone who has to ruin a good thing; in this case it would be the ever merry {Orrid} whose involvement should be obvious.

Either way, that meant they were far out of the reach of any of the other powers on the continent, so this would be the perfect place for the little hybrid to train!

<A dangerous untouched land filled with powerful beasts who have been pushed to their limits of their instincts due to an apex predator who they could never hope to overpower… Is there a better place for me to call a hunting ground - though I suppose I’m still a little too weak to head into right now? Well it’s just a matter of time until I’ll be able to hunt everything from an entire gang of [Giant Green Lizards] to a seemingly immortal [Heretical Chaos Hydra] fufufu~!>

Soon after the handkerchief began to actually set alight - leading to Alexis frowning & throwing it aside.

Surprisingly she seems like more of an indigo than a bloodleaf… Well nothing wrong with that hohoho~.” <Alexis>

She mumbled before shaking her head; ultimately deciding it was a pointless thought to have since at the end of the day ‘Eel’ was Elizabeth Jr. Bloodleaf and not anyone else. With those thoughts she tapped her chin for a moment, thinking of how exactly to answer before nodding her head, once more with a warm smile upon her plump lips.

“From what I know you will have three teachers; first of which would be that brat who would teach you about sword, I would teach you about [Natural Energy] & [Spiritual Arts] and for spear-” <Alexis>

“Eh, are you not going to teach me about polearms, so I can do all those fancies moves~!” <Eel>

As if to explain what she meant - Eel stood up from the step to grab her spear - she began to spin around her spear in a rather experienced manner. Slowly moving it from side to side while applying a low level of energy to create a barrier in front of herself thanks to her movements.

Alexis just chuckled once more, resting a hand on her cheek as she watched the performance, before speaking up with a slightly disheartened smile.

“It’s because my style doesn’t suit your usual method of attack, you focus more on overwhelming the enemy with your superior momentum, meanwhile mine focuses more on zoning. There are things that I can certainly help to teach you; however I can hardly teach you the arts that would be most suitable for your preferred mode of combat. At the least - with [Spiritual Arts] I can be confident that there is only one person better than me so I have a lot more to offer with that. ” <Alexis>

Hearing that made Eel stop playing around with her spear - her ears twitching at a specific set of words that Alexis brought up. Tilting her head cutely as she turned around. Those 9 tails of hers waving around curiously like a puppy who had just found a new toy.

“I thought you were the strongest with [Spiritual Arts]~?” <Eel>

The vixen just shook her head with a whimsical sigh.

“When I was younger I used to think there was no one who would be able to overcome me if I was given the same amount of time with [Spiritual Arts]. I was woefully wrong - not that surprising considering she is far smarter than I dare to be - though I think I could at least beat her servants if my hand is forced. It’s rather funny that the greatest weakness of many spirits is actually the very natural energy they are partly created out of hohoho~.” <Alexis>

Although she said that… Well her smile turned into something you’d expect more on Eel than you would the warm hearted motherly fox; even proceeding to draw her tongue across her lips at the fights of bullying some of those birds. Whether it was always obvious or not - she was certainly still a mischievous fox at the end of the day.

“Then whose number one~?” <Eel>

Elizabeth decided to ask the obvious question with some sparkles in her eyes.

“Well… I don’t think she’ll be someone you’d want to teach you… Though she is strong enough to have reshaped the entirety of the {Spirit World} to the point that some consider it to be in a similar situation as the {Dreamscape} - on the level of being another realm complete with an Archon in charge. Like the labyrinth-akin {Dreamscape} there would even be problems if the ruler of the {Spirit Realm} decided to cut ties since they both now hold a vital role in maintaining the realms~!” <Alexis>

<That sort of explains why Mother doesn’t just go crazy in the {Spirit World} in an attempt to gain an advantage over- Wait, wouldn’t that mean that…>

At that moment the little [Dragox]’s eyes widened as she realised the cards which Alexis was putting down; there was only one person stronger than Alexis in the {Spirit World} after all!

“So the strongest [Spiritual Arts] user is… Munzumira?” <Eel>

“Probably close enough~!” <Alexis>

That… Wasn’t exactly the answer Eel expected.

“Probably?” <Eel>

“Eh there are a lot of details when calling someone the ‘strongest’ as something, especially when one pulls the Spirits into the equation, since there are a lot of minutiae hohoho~.” <Alexis>

Raising her hand in front of her mouth as she laughed once more; making Eel’s shoulders deflate a little as she turned her head back. Looking toward the direction they came from as another curious question came up from the obvious missing person.

“Was it okay to leave him like that?” <Eel>

“Eh~ he’ll probably wake up soon~!” <Alexis>

With that Eel could only let out a drawn sigh - her gaze unconsciously shifting toward the city where Emily should be wandering around right now. It hadn’t even been a day yet it already felt like it was too long for some strange reason.

<There are a lot of “probably”s right now so at least I have you as a certainty…>

“Ara~ ara~ how cute those foxes are ohohoho~.” <Mother>

On one of the many distant cliffs, the goddess stood silently with her left arm resting across those three swords with a gentle smile across her face as always, those closed eyes facing the foxes. Slowly her hand drifted to the bottom of the sword. Hand glancing across the soft black wrap that encased the handle of the supposed deadliest blade-

Before she could take any action  - a flash of gold arrived in front of her which reduced the ground to a pile of molten rock - the loud echoing of thunder following with a cataclysmic*THBOOOM~!*.

Although this made the {True God}s hand slide back up to the top blade; she showed no sign of being perturbed as she lifted her hand to her mouth. Letting out another jolly little laugh as she tilted her head backward to seemingly gaze up to the clear sky above.

“I can take a hint nevertheless I have no idea why you would protect someone like that who you had previously tried so hard to ki-” <Mother>

This time the lightning didn’t miss.

*THBOOOM~!*

However the god stood there motionlessly, steam rising from their entire body as their white cloak billowed in the wind, otherwise completely unphased by the attack. That attack had no effect on her mood nor did it even so much as cause a smudge in her clothing. Although it could be said to have at least caused a crease in her usually flawless facade.

“That is the problem with you Indigo; always so loyal to yourselves yet to the other two major clans you are nothing but a bunch of wild cards that do whatever you want with minor motives. Either way I shall concede this point for now, you may have the child, but I wouldn’t assume you to be so lucky the next time we meet Sohn-Tochter. We will see if your speed is really all it is cracked up to be ohohoho~” <Mother>

Like an illusion - the {Infinite Mother} soon  developed cracks all around before shattering into thousands of crystal shards that vanished with the harsh winds - almost as if she was never there in the first place.
