Yang Lingqian looked up at the roof, with her mind in turmoil.
A voice abruptly sounded beside her.
“Don’t worry, I’ve always been by your side.
“There’s no way he can get here quicker than me.”
The spontaneous voice almost had Yang Lingqian screaming in shock.
A hand suddenly appeared, clasping itself over her mouth.
Yang Lingqian looked at the man who had suddenly appeared beside her, and the shock and horror in her eyes were replaced by elation.
An Lin put a finger over his lips, indicating for Yang Lingqian to be quiet, upon which Yang Lingqian nodded. He then slowly removed his hand from her mouth.
“You’re finally here!” Yang Lingqian smiled.
An Lin looked at her with a slightly speechless expression. “Only ten minutes or so have passed, and you’re making it look like we’ve been apart for days.”
“Well… I was scared…” Yang Lingqian blushed slightly. “Oh, right, have you finished what you came here to do? When can we go?”
An Lin’s expression darkened. “What could be done in ten minutes?”
Yang Lingqian’s blush deepened, and her cheeks were like ripe apples as she blinked at An Lin. “Th… that thing, you could do that thing in ten minutes…”
An Lin faltered slightly before realizing what she was talking about, upon which he flared up with rage. “You’re insulting me!”
Yang Lingqian recoiled from fear. “I’m sorry!”
An Lin was feeling a little apologetic about his outburst at the sight of the petrified Yang Lingqian.
Not only did that system have a vendetta against his little member in recent times, but even this woman also seemed to have developed a misunderstanding toward it. An Lin felt like it was time he redeemed his little member!
“Don’t be scared.” An Lin placed a blue jade pendant in Yang Lingqian’s hands and said, “I’m going to go do some scouting. I’ve already injected a wisp of my consciousness into this jade pendant. If anything happens, just crush this jade pendant, and I’ll be here as quickly as possible.”
Yang Lingqian gripped the jade pendant tightly in her hand. “Be careful.”
“No one can do anything to me here.” An Lin shrugged off her concerns with a confident smile.
“Don’t get careless. There are five Return to Void Stage exalted immortals alone in this harem of three thousand…” Yang Lingqian spoke in an urgent voice, “And it is said that there are over a hundred Return to Void Stage exalted immortals who are loyal to the Immortal King in the Immortal King Palace…”
In her heart, An Lin was just a normal exalted immortal who liked to boast and flex. He was still far too insignificant in the face of the Immortal King’s terrifying forces, which was why she was quite concerned about him.
“Don’t worry, even if I encounter the Immortal King, I can cut him down with one sword strike!” An Lin harrumphed coldly.
“Exalted Immortal An Lin is the best.” Yang Lingqian nodded with a smile. However, in her heart, she was thinking that An Lin was boasting again.
“Oh, right, if you meet any other women in this palace, you can try and gather some information on the Kun Lun Empire meteorite…” An Lin continued.
Yang Lingqian was given a fright upon hearing this, and her features paled slightly. “You’re looking for that meteorite? Please don’t tell me that’s the case. Do you know how many powerful beings have died in pursuit of that meteorite over the years?!”
An Lin grasped onto Yang Lingqian’s trembling hands with an earnest expression. “Trust me!”
Yang Lingqian panicked slightly after having her hands held, and she nodded instinctively. “Alright… I trust you.”

An Lin transformed into clouds and mist before drifting out the window.
It was now close to nighttime, and the sun was setting below the horizon.
The Exalted Immortal Palace still presented a lively and bustling scene with vibrant lanterns of different colors already being hung up in preparation for the imminent night.
An Lin didn’t have time to stick around and appreciate the scenery. He had to find the Heavenly Dao fragment and save the two thousand beauties.
There was a harem of three thousand, but the system was only asking him to save two thousand. It looked like a portion of the harem really were in mutual relationships with the Immortal King. If the system had required him to take away the entire harem, the difficulty of the task would increase exponentially.
Wait, not only did he have to save two thousand women from the harem, he had to make them develop a fondness toward him as well. This was still an extremely difficult task, and he needed to devise a good plan.
An Lin thought to himself as she silently approached the core region of the Immortal King Palace.
The Heavenly Dao fragment was an extremely important object, so it must have been situated in the most obscure location.
Cultivators passed through the Immortal King Palace both in the air and on the ground below.
Along the way, An Lin encountered over a thousand cultivators at the Spirit Nurturing Stage or above, three of which were Return to Void Stage mighty figures. The harem was one of the more core locations of the palace, and an even more core location than the harem should be Immortal King Feng Wuya’s forbidden cultivation area!
“That tall tower in the middle there is most likely the Immortal King Palace’s conference tower. Behind it is a place with extremely abundant vital energy… That should be where the Immortal King cultivates.” An Lin slowly approached in his white mist form.
However, he soon faltered in his advance.
An Lin was maintaining the usage of his Divine Inspection Technique this entire time in case there were spell formations here that were invisible to the naked eye. At this moment, there was a blue, spherical formation enshrouding a black building.
Extremely terrifying energy fluctuations were erupting from that black building.
“Not only is this an isolation formation, but it’s also a slaughter formation… Not only that, but as soon as the formation is broken, an alarm will instantly be set off across the entire Immortal King Palace…” A grave expression appeared on An Lin’s face for the first time. “Furthermore, this formation has gathered the powers of all of the veins of the earth within Kun Lun City. This is the power of an entire nation!”
It wasn’t as if he couldn’t break this formation. It was just that breaking it would cause a huge commotion, and he would be immediately discovered by Immortal King Feng Wuya. A battle would be entirely unavoidable then, which would make his harem mission quite difficult to accomplish.
Aside from that, Feng Wuya had countless subordinates and trump cards within the Immortal King Palace, so An Lin could not guarantee victory. His best bet would be to drag the Immortal King out of his palace before engaging in battle.
“This is not a good time to strike.”
An Lin thought to himself for a moment before arriving at this conclusion.
Just as he was surveying his surroundings, the blue formation suddenly tremored violently before an opening emerged, from which a suffocating power erupted in a frenzy.
A slightly thin and gaunt man with pale skin and dressed in a black robe slowly made his way out from the opening.
His terrifying aura had only just erupted before it was curbed. Each and every step he took made a black lotus flower blossom from the ground, presenting a bizarre yet entrancing scene of beauty.
There were two Return to Void Stage exalted immortals beside this man.
One of them was a middle-aged man who was wearing colorful armor and had a vast aura emanating from his body.
The other one was a beautiful woman with a seductive figure.
The woman gently tapped her fingers in the air, and a series of images appeared.
“Immortal King, I have chosen several dozen acceptable new women who can enjoy a pleasurable night with you,” the woman said with a dainty smile.
The man’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the images in the air before his eyes finally settled on three of the images.
An Lin was shocked to discover that one of the images was a portrait of Yang Lingqian!
