Purple flames came from all directions, enveloping An Lin and the others within.
Another spear of ice stabbed into the male dragon’s butt cheek at this time.
“Howl…!” the male dragon roared again in anguish.
“Are you retarded? If you burn the food into a cinder crisp, how am I going to eat it!?” the female dragon roared in anger from the distance.
Tears welled up in the male dragon’s big lantern eyes. This was wrong, that was wrong, just what was he supposed to do?
Mountain Quaking Fist! Strong Gale Cannon! Frost Slash!
An Lin, Da Bai, and Ji Yanling all struck out at once, tearing a hole into the sea of purple flames.
Purple flames whistled past, bringing with it an indescribably scorching and ruthless heat.
The male dragon breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily, these human cultivators seem to be pretty strong and didn’t get roasted to a crisp, otherwise, he would get a beating again.
“Xiao Chou, light up the ground with your searchlights!” An Lin shouted urgently.
Xiao Chou immediately activated his searchlight eyes as strong light lit up the ground below, exposing the terrain below for them to see.
There was less than a thousand feet between the two dragons and everyone now.
“Come with me!” An Lin flew downwards on Da Bai’s back.
“Hahaha, human cultivators, you won’t escape, just surrender yourselves and I can at least give you a quick, painless death!” A triumphant expression appeared on the male dragon’s face as he gradually closed down his prey, making a sarcastic remark as he went.
His domain had already expanded as black spikes exuding a bloodthirsty aura positioned themselves at the ready, preparing to run through the bodies of its prey in an instant after drawing close enough.
There… An Lin saw a pitch black crack in the ground as he flew, which he abruptly flew into.
Xu Xiaolan and the others immediately realized An Lin’s intentions as their eyes lit up, before they followed suit.
“You won’t escape!”
The male dragon’s expression shifted as he flapped his wings with renewed vigor, propelling his body to crash heavily into the crack in the ground which An Lin and the others had just escaped into.
Boom!
The ground shook heavily as the dragon forced his head into the crack, but was unable to squeeze his huge body through…
The crack was only thirty to forty feet in width, but his body was a full hundred feet in size, far too big to fit through the crack.
“Piss off!”
The female dragon which had been following behind the whole time flared up with rage and kicked the male dragon to the curb.
Another resounding boom erupted from the ground. The male dragon almost broke its neck from being kicked with its head still stuck in the crack, before sliding along the ground, leaving a long trench in its wake.
The female dragon stared after An Lin and the others before spitting out a destructive frosty breath.
If she couldn’t have them for dinner, then she’d just have to kill them instead.
An Lin and the others suddenly sensed an extremely terrifying power following them as they continued downwards. It felt like the power was able to freeze anything, even the air around them began to congeal.
This wasn’t some half-arsed attack from the male dragon, this was the full-force attack from a Soul Formation Stage dragon!
“Everyone gather around me!” An Lin shouted.
Everyone immediately obliged.
“Expand, expand, expand!”
The Chaotic Alloy Brick expanded quickly, standing like a wall in front of An Lin.
Boom!
The frosty breath struck the brick and An Lin was swept up by the terrifying power and forced into a retreat.
The frosty breath could not bypass the brick, but the temperature around them still fell drastically as everyone felt as if their blood would be frozen solid in their veins.
“Thank God for Big Brother An’s miracle brick, otherwise I’d be a frozen dogsicle now, woof!” Da Bai said with fear lingering in his eyes.
The female dragon looked on in frustration as her attack was blocked by a mere Spirit Nurturing Stage cultivator.
“The mother of my child, have those bastard human cultivators been turned into ice sculptures?” The male dragon ran over with a groveling expression as it massaged its neck.
“F*ck off!” The female dragon sent the male dragon flying with another kick.

She stared after the cultivators with hatred in her expression but couldn’t do anything except vent her rage on the male dragon.
An Lin and the others all breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing that they’d escaped the range of the female dragon’s attacks.
They knew that they couldn’t come out of this crack in the ground in the immediate future so they could only continue downwards.
Their surroundings were still extremely dark and under the illumination of the Phosphorescent Orb, they discovered that the rock faces on either side of them were not constricting, but instead constantly widening.
“It looks like there is a separate space at the bottom of the crack. There should be mutant beasts there and most likely beasts that gather in packs.” Ji Yanling had been in many similar spaces in the past, so she naturally had a lot of experience.
Sure enough, after descending for over a kilometer, they came to a cavernous space.
“There’s light here!” An Lin gasped.
At the top of the rock layer were sparse spots of green fluorescent light. The light was very dim, but still very striking in contrast to its completely dark environment.
“These are Fluorescent Bugs, they like to gather in places where water is plentiful. To house such a large group of Fluorescent Bugs, perhaps there is an underground lake here.” Ji Yanling explained.
A lake?
Will there be any underwater monsters…
Sure enough, they didn’t have to go far before a small lake appeared in front of them, revealed by the light of the Phosphorescent Orb.
“Wang Lu…
“Wang Lu, are you there?”
Ji Yanling once again began to yell out his name, her voice even causing slight ripples to appear on the calm face of the lake.
Her cries received no response, but she did not lose heart and continued onwards.
That was fair enough, she had repeated such cries millions of times, there was no way she could persevere without an extremely firm resolve.
An Lin was very much in admiration of this woman. He was greatly moved by the sight of her frail yet resolute figure.
Right at this moment, he suddenly felt a chill go down his spine as a chaotic aura flew quickly at him, startling him into bringing out his sword.
However, the aura disappeared like the wind and everything went back to normal.
He looked around at everyone in bewilderment to find that they all wore an expression identical to his.
“That was most likely the Dark Abyssal Winds, I’ve encountered them countless times, they pose no threat.” Ji Yanling explained like a seasoned veteran.
An Lin and the others all breathed a sigh of relief at her words.
However, right at that moment, another dark frosty aura flew toward everyone, causing goosebumps to appear on everyone’s bodies.
And after that…
A chaotic and twisted aura began to fly at them from all directions, imbued with a violent sense of despair.
“Are the Dark Abyssal Winds responsible for these effects too?” An Lin asked anxiously as a shiver traveled through his body.
Cold sweat began to appear on Ji Yanling’s forehead as she swallowed involuntarily. “I don’t know…”
“Xiao Chou, switch on your searchlights!”
Clang!
Xiao Chou’s searchlight eyes activated, lighting up their dark surroundings.
Inky creatures with twisted bodies began to appear in everyone’s field of vision.
They approached slowly from all directions and had already surrounded An Lin and the others.
These twisted creatures had statures similar to humans and didn’t appear to have any set physical form, appearing as if they were pools of inky black ooze that could transform into any shape or form.
Despair, fury, depravity, hatred… all types of negative emotions rippled outwards as if they were physical projections, causing everyone’s heads to explode with pain.
Shock appeared on An Lin’s face as he stared at these twisted creatures. He felt as if his consciousness was being sucked in and nauseous reactions ran throughout his body.
“Be careful, everyone, these are sinister devils!”
From their attributes, An Lin could determine that these twisted creatures were all sinister devils!
Everyone was shocked into disbelief upon hearing this. Weren’t sinister devils rare in the Abyss of Evil, why had so many of them suddenly appeared?
An Lin recalled what Ji Yanling had said before: A clan of creatures often resided in cavernous spaces such as this one.
The clan of creatures here… couldn’t be sinister devils, could they…
