Chapter 214: Please Call Me Queen

“What are you summoning?”

“The golden holy grail.”

Liu Qianhuan’s reply was like a crack of lightning, and both Wang Xuanzhan and An Lin shuddered when it struck them.

“So you’re drawing a spell formation to summon the golden holy grail?”

“You’re not kidding me, right?”

An Lin was in disbelief as he stared at the complex patterns on the ground.

“Heehee, that’s exactly what I’m doing, silly~!”

There was a glimmer in Liu Qianhuan’s eyes as she laughed.

An Lin: “…”

Wang Xuanzhan: “…”

Seeing the dark expressions on their faces, Liu Qianhuan finally told them the truth. “I suspect that there’s some sort of connection between the holy grails. The unique patterns on each holy grail are probably there to distinguish between some sort of special signal from the different holy grails. If I draw these unique patterns into the Aura Tracking Spell Formation, then perhaps I can get the spell formation to form some sort of connection with the last holy grail.”

An Lin blinked his eyes in confusion. Although he didn’t really understand, he felt like it was something very impressive.

Meanwhile, Wang Xuanzhan’s eyes lit up. “This Aura Tracking Spell Formation is similar to those spell formations which can track bloodlines, right? The Bloodline Tracking Spell Formations can make use of unique bloodlines to track down the location other similar bloodlines. This Aura Tracking Spell Formation should be a few levels above those types of Bloodline Tracking Spell Formations. I heard that they already touch upon the power of karma. Who would’ve thought that Sister Liu could also use such spell formations.”

“I can only carve the simplest type of Aura Tracking Spell Formations right now,” Liu Qianhuan chuckled. “This spell formation will only be effective if the unique patterns on the holy grails are intrinsic to them. Moreover, the more unique the patterns that exist and the closer they are to us, the higher the chances for us to succeed!”

After a short while, an extremely complex spell formation appeared on the ground before them.

Liu Qianhuan was a bit pale and beads of sweat were trickling down her forehead. Clearly, carving out this spell formation had taken quite a toll on her.

In the center of the spell formation, the five unique patterns of the holy grails were carved out in a characteristic way. These patterns were the part of the spell formation which acted as some sort of link to the power of karma.

Suddenly, the wind and clouds in the sky started to swarm. Huge amounts of vital energy started converging toward the Aura Tracking Spell Formation, attempting to activate this spell formation.

An Lin gulped as he anxiously looked toward this spell formation.

Suddenly, a brilliant white light burst from the spell formation.

Three white needles started materializing above the spell formation, and they each pointed toward a different direction.

“It worked!” Liu Qianhuan yelped in surprise.

She hadn’t held high hopes for this experiment. To her delight though, it actually worked. Right now, she was feeling even more excited than An Lin and Wang Xuanzhan. Her expression was as if she had won some major prize.

“Do these three needles represent the directions of the holy grails? If so, then which direction is correct?” Wang Xuanzhan asked in confusion.

“None of them.” There was a beautiful glimmer in Liu Qianhuan’s purple eyes, and she pointed toward a section of the spell formation. “This is the correct direction!”

Looking at where she pointed, An Lin and Wang Xuanzhan found that there was still a tiny needle sitting amidst the spell formation. It looked as if it was going to dissipate any second, and it was currently pointing toward a certain direction.

A look of realization suddenly emerged on An Lin’s face. “I understand now. The other three needles are pointing toward the locations of the other iron holy grails and silver holy grails. The unique patterns carved into this spell formation are from the iron holy grails and silver holy grails, thus, their connections to this spell formation are much stronger. The golden holy grail is independent of these other holy grails, thus the connection to it is much fainter. That’s why the needle pointing toward it is also so insignificant in comparison.”

Liu Qianhuan snapped her fingers and said cheerily, “Exactly! The direction that this tiny mushroom-sized needle is pointing toward is the direction of the golden holy grail! Now, we have a destination to head toward!”

Just as she finished saying this, the spell formation erupted with a loud boom and the small needle inside it shattered and vanished.

M-hm… The spell formation couldn’t hold up anymore and it self-destructed.

Liu Qianhuan stuck her tongue out and suggested, “We’ve determined the direction anyway. Let’s go!”

An Lin and Wang Xuanzhan both nodded. At any rate, they had a direction to follow now. Without wasting any more time, they flew off with Liu Qianhuan in the direction pointed out by the needle.

In the northeast region of the Zhong Long mountain ranges, there sat a steep and jagged mountain. This mountain was formed from black stone, and its tip was capped with white snow. Although it was night now, the snowy tip of the mountain reflected the warm glow of the moon, making it appear tranquil and holy.

In a clearing on the mountainside, there was the faint flicker of flames.

“Dong Yan, it seems like there’s someone on that mountain!” Hong Dou’s eyes were keen, and he stared intently at a large mountain around two kilometers away from them.

In the pitch-black of night, any flicker of light was extremely noticeable.

Dong Yan was also intrigued by this. “Let’s go check it out. Take care to conceal yourself!”

They speculated that it was definitely the representatives of another power on the mountain. They couldn’t fly over as that would be too eye-catching. So, they chose to land on the ground and run over.

After going through a period of depression, the two representatives of the Hall of Creation once again pulled themselves together. They had a new strategy now, and the core idea of this strategy was—reap benefit from confusion!

That was right! They wanted the golden holy grail, didn’t they? Then let them battle and fight for it!

Once the battle reached a critical juncture, the ambushing Hong Dou and Dong Yan would then suddenly jump out and join in the fight for the holy grail.

Although such action was slightly reprehensible, their strength dictated that this was their only chance of success now…

Just like that, Hong Dou and Dong Yan continued to close in on the flicker of fire burning on the mountainside.

Soon after, they were able to see the flames clearly. This was a raging campfire and there was currently a wild boar roasting on top of it.

This wild boar was almost cooked through and the mouth-watering smell of its meat wafted through the air.

A dainty little girl wearing a white dress was in high spirits as she rotated the spit rod.

The flickering flames were reflected in her clear eyes, and she greedily licked her soft pink lips.

The secretly observing Hong Dou and Dong Yan were baffled. Who was this little girl?!

“Hey, Dong Yan, is that thing on her head…” Hong Dou’s voice trembled with excitement, and his face revealed his shock and feeling of absurdity.

Dong Yan nodded seriously. “I think so too. That’s definitely the golden holy grail…”

That was right! This dainty and adorable girl wore an exquisite and magnificent crown on her head. From the front, one could even make out the contours of the holy grail.

Although she wore the golden holy grail on her head, it appeared neither majestic nor oppressing. Rather, it appeared absurd and comical and even seemed a little childish. It was as if the golden holy grail was an exquisite toy.

Dong Yan and Hong Dou started to feel a bit restless. They could barely contain themselves even though they knew that things were definitely not as simple as they appeared on the surface.

But what if…

What if obtaining this golden holy grail wasn’t as difficult as they imagined, and they also had the strength to snatch it?

The wearer of the golden holy grail was only a little girl!

They were the first of the four powers to find the golden holy grail! Were they really going to do nothing?

Hong Dou and Dong Yan could barely hold themselves back. Perhaps their only advantage was the fact that they arrived here first. Like raging wildfire, a “what if” mentality spread through their minds and they couldn’t stamp it out no matter what.

“I’ll go feel her out. Dong Yan, you act according to the circumstances!”

After a while, Hong Dou finally made up his mind.

Dong Yan didn’t raise any objections. Evidently, he also approved of Hong Dou’s plans.

The little girl looked up from her spit roast toward the rock golem who suddenly appeared before her.

Hong Dou was extremely nervous. Looking into the little girl’s eyes though, he noticed that he didn’t feel any sense of terror or foreboding. His mind whirred, and he decided to go with a gentle and diplomatic approach.

“Hello, little sister.”

Hong Dou tried his best to hide his malicious intent, and he waved at the little girl in a friendly manner.

For some reason though, the little girl’s pretty face became cold and emotionless after hearing Hong Dou’s greeting.

Instantly, a feeling of danger enveloped Hong Dou, and his entire body reflexively tensed up.

Just as he was about to retreat, a small and nimble fist had already smashed into his chest.

“Please call me… Queen!”

Accompanied by an earth-shattering rumble, the little girl’s crisp voice reverberated through the skies.

Boom!

The impact of the fist caused the earth to split and the mountain to tremor.

The powerful shockwaves ripped gigantic gorges into the earth before exploding several miles into the distant sky.

Hong Dou’s eyes bulged and lava gushed from his mouth. His hard igneous body split and cracked open.

A golden barrier had materialized around him and absorbed half of the impact. Otherwise, the full power of that fist would have directly crippled Hong Dou.

“Hall of Creation’s Hong Dou, eliminated!”

A pronouncement of judgment once again boomed in the skies.
