Chapter 519: The Sky Has Collapsed

Translator: Henyee Translations  Editor: Henyee Translations

Shangguan Yi flew away atop her sword with the other three snow maidens flying beside her.

Their mission was complete. All they had to do now was to protect Shangguan Yi and wait for the conclusion of the one month period, after which they would be teleported back to the Holy Glacial Lands.

An Lin stared at Shangguan Yi and heaved a light, forlorn sigh, especially when he thought about how her life had been filled with tragedies.

He still firmly believed that Shangguan Yi wasn’t staying at the Holy Glacial Lands of her own volition, but there wasn’t really much else he could do for her…

A pink streak of light was flying toward them from afar.

Liu Chuchu was eagerly making her way here to take her share of the spoils of war.

An Lin brought out the six storage rings, three of which belonged to the Dragon Tribe, while the other three were the snow maidens’ storage rings.

It was An Lin and Tina’s turn to choose first, so An Lin grabbed two of the storage rings that belonged to the Dragon Tribe, and one of the storage ring that belonged to the snow maidens. Liu Chuchu was allocated the last storage ring that belonged to the lizard dragons, while Ling Ying and Hong Dou each received one of the last two storage rings that belonged to the snow maidens.

Liu Chuchu did have a choice to pick a snow maiden’s storage ring if she wanted, but from her extensive murder and robbery experience, she discovered that all the snow maidens were quite poor. In contrast, the members of the Dragon Tribe were normally quite rich, so she chose a lizard dragon’s storage ring.

An Lin was very much in approval of Liu Chuchu’s decision. He had a lot of experience with the storage rings that belonged to those snow maidens. After all, he had harvested five Return to Void Stage snow maidens’ storage rings not too long ago.

However, they didn’t even get a chance to assess the contents of the storage rings before powerful tremors began to sweep through heaven and earth.

Not only was the ground shaking, but the entire space around them was also shaking as well.

“Huh? What’s going on?” An Lin’s expression shifted as he surveyed his surroundings with a cautious expression.

“Giant An Lin, look up!” Tina yelled in panic as she tugged on An Lin’s hair.

Everyone looked up into the sky before their mouths gaped open in shock.

They were greeted by the sight of the massive rift in the sky being split open even wider, and it continued to expand as if it were the abyssal mouth of a gargantuan, ferocious beast.

“Run!” An Lin yelled and immediately ran away from the rift!

The tremors were still running through heaven and earth, and an invisible force swept toward everyone’s bodies. This was the power of the law of destruction and collapse, and as such, it was able to ignore all types of defensive spell formations. The power of this law could pierce through all things in this world and act directly on the bodies of living organisms!

The only thing An Lin and the others could do was to run for their lives.

However, the rift in the sky expanded at an extremely alarming rate, as if it were a black rubber ball that had been compressed to the extreme; with the pressure being released, it was now free to explosively expand outward.

The rift expanded several hundred kilometers in the blink of an eye while the blue and purple sky above cracked open like a pane of glass before crumbling down completely to give way to boundless darkness and nothingness.

Devastating power began to permeate through heaven and earth, tearing the sky apart and annihilating the ground below…

An Lin and the others were all struck by this power, and their internal organs began to disintegrate under the power of the law of destruction.

A chill ran down An Lin’s spine while an expression of despair appeared on his face.

The speed at which they were flying was slower than the rate at which the rift was expanding. If things were to continue like this, they would all die!

An Lin could roughly guess what they were experiencing at this moment. It was the crumbling of this section of the continent…

The Ancient Tai Chu Realm on which they were situated had already been reduced to less than one-hundredth of its original area, and it was still crumbling to this very day, as evidenced by the misfortune that had struck everyone here…

What kind of f*cking luck was this?!

“Waah… Giant An Lin, the outside world is so terrifying. Is this Armageddon…” Tina’s tiny body trembled uncontrollably as she latched onto An Lin’s hair and looked around at the crumbling continent before her.

“Don’t worry, we’ll make it out of here alive!” An Lin said as he tried to console her.

“Waah…” Tina was still sobbing when she suddenly opened her tiny mouth. “Eugh…”

A tiny mouthful of blood stained An Lin’s shoulder.

An Lin: “…”

Xue Zhantian was also flying beside An Lin, and it appeared especially emotional. “Who would have thought that I would live to see the day the sky collapse… sigh… Even the sky is so fragile, how pitiful! I’ve lost my target now. Who am I going to slash in the future?” 1

As his voice fell, Xue Zhantian suddenly turned to An Lin as a flash of emotion crossed his eyes. “Master, I think you’re very powerful! Eurgh…”

Xue Zhantian immediately spat out a big mouthful of blood after finishing its sentence. It was clearly severely wounded by the power of the law.

An Lin: “…”

The sky was crumbling, and the space around them was collapsing. Winds of chaos and destruction swept through the air, and the ground below disintegrated. Everything around them was a vast expanse of dilapidation and destruction, with no hope in sight.

The black rift had already become an infinitely vast black mouth that was devouring everything on this continent. The terrifying power of this law of destruction eroded everyone’s bodies as they inched closer and closer to their deaths!

Everyone was in complete and utter despair. The entire world was literally being destroyed around them, and they were trapped within this cage of destruction with no way to escape!

Destruction became the only constant in this world, and everyone had already lost sight of where the next patch of unscathed sky was, but they still continued onward with all their might to search for that slim chance of survival.

An Lin suddenly saw a flash of light in the darkness, as if it were the light of hope amid a world of chaos, and his body trembled in response.

“Fly in that direction!” An Lin roared as he changed direction to fly toward that flash of light.

Everyone immediately followed behind An Lin toward that feeble ray of light in the darkness.

As they drew closer and closer, they were finally able to figure out what the source of the light was.

It was a mountain!

This was a massive mountain that was hanging upside down in the pitch-black sky!

The mountain glowed lightly with spots of light, as if they were bright stars in the night sky.

When everyone caught sight of this mountain, it was as if they suddenly discovered a green oasis when they were on the brink of death from extreme dehydration in the desert. Renewed hope ignited in their hearts, and they immediately unleashed their full speed without hesitation to throw themselves toward that massive mountain.

The mountain had to be an extremely special construct to be able to remain unscathed in such a terrifying environment. As such, it appeared to be their only chance for refuge and survival.

Right at this moment, the massive mountain suddenly began to flash in and out of existence, as if it were just a mirage.

Tears streaked down Liu Chuchu’s face upon seeing this.

They had finally found some hope for survival only to find that it was fake! It was all an illusion!

An Lin did not give up. He continued to throw himself toward the mirage-like mountain.

He finally came to the peak of the upside-down mountain, and he made one final charge!

Boom!

A devastating power instantly engulfed his entire body, and he felt the space around him began to shimmer and warp. Immediately following this was an extremely terrifying bout of spatial twisting and tearing, which struck him with extreme nausea and vertigo.

Tina and Xue Zhantian gripped tightly onto An Lin as they let loose collective shrieks before they were plunged into complete sensory deprivation.

Liu Chuchu, Hong Dou, Ling Ying, and Xue Mengmeng all charged toward the mountain as well, and their bodies disappeared from this crumbling section of the continent as the space rippled around them.

Both heaven and earth were still crumbling.

Soon, the entire space completely shattered and chaos swept through everything. The earth was reduced to nothingness, and all matter began to dissipate into a certain type of energy as they diffused into the air before disappearing without a trace…
