Chapter 532: Encounter at the White Jade Mountain

An Lin continued toward the White Jade Mountain atop his black brick. Now that he had the assistance of a Return to Void Stage mighty figure, he was going to be a lot safer.
He discovered from Cassidy’s own words that she was a cultivator at the pinnacle of Return to Void Initial Stage and was close to progressing to Return to Void Intermediate Stage. With her help, even if they couldn’t defeat any Return to Void Stage mighty figures they encountered, there was quite a good chance that they would at least be able to run away.
An Lin loaned the Blood Soul Jade Coffin to Cassidy for her to hasten her recovery.
Cassidy stared at the coffin with extremely mixed emotions. If it wasn’t for her overconfidence leading her to recover from her injuries on the grassland, she wouldn’t have encountered An Lin, which would’ve prevented her from becoming An Lin’s slave…
No!
Everything was for the holy blood! For the mighty blood that could purify her entire existence!
She lay down in the coffin and activated a spell technique as a golden light burst forth, absorbing all the vitality within a radius of several dozen kilometers.
Thus, An Lin flew through over the purple grassland, killing vast swathes of purple grass as he went.
After flying for about two hours, the lid on the coffin opened, and Cassidy sat up before stretching lazily, showing off her exquisite body in the process. The light of the stars above shone down on her face, making her features appear radiant and enchanting.
“Phew, I’m just about fully recovered!” Cassidy spoke.
“If you’ve recovered, then hurry up and withdraw your spell technique,” An Lin snapped.
“Why so irritable?” Cassidy pursed her lips.
“We’ve been a moving target for two whole hours! I’m not as oblivious to danger as you are!” An Lin felt like this coffin should be used as little as possible. After all, the bright red light it emitted was far too eye-catching.
Once Cassidy got out from the coffin, An Lin stowed it away into his storage ring.
“Our top priority is to gather golden Realm Essence Crystals. We must do everything we can do to find them!” An Lin announced in a solemn voice.
“Oh…” Cassidy nodded before looking at An Lin with a peculiar gaze as she asked, “I’ve wanted to ask you this ever since I met you; who gave you the courage to come to the Void Star Section at your cultivation base?
“Forgive me for being blunt. Your power definitely places you near the top of all Soul Formation Stage cultivators, but who do you expect to be able to defeat here? Did you choose to come here just because there are more golden Realm Essence Crystals in the Void Star Section?”
An Lin almost cried upon hearing her question. “Do you think I want to be here?”
Thus, he recounted his experience within the Ancient Tai Chu Realm to Cassidy.
An astonished expression appeared on Cassidy’s face after hearing about his experience. “So you actually encountered the legendary Huge Starry Mountain! It does indeed have the ability to traverse through the two sections. How unfortunate for you…”
“Well, it hasn’t really been all that misfortunate; every cloud has a silver lining, after all. At least I’ve reaped a lot of rewards. Such as all these spoils of war as well as a Return to Void Stage slave.” An Lin sighed with emotion.
Cassidy: “Am I supposed to maintain this smile? Or should I compliment you as well?”
An Lin: “Sorry, I got a little carried away there…”
An Lin was quite apologetic about mentioning something that Cassidy clearly didn’t want to be reminded of.
“By the way, do you know how far away the White Jade Mountain is from here? I’ve been flying for so long, but I still can’t see it,” An Lin asked.
Cassidy considered his question for a moment before replying, “The purple grassland is quite vast. At your current speed, it would probably take about six more hours to get there…”
“That long?!” An Lin pursed his lips.
“Why didn’t you tell me you wanted to go to the White Jade Mountain? I can take you there in less than an hour with my spatial manipulation techniques.” Cassidy was perplexed.
An Lin: “…”
An Lin had no reply to such a logical question.

“Because I’m retarded,” An Lin replied in the end.
Thus, Cassidy tore open a spatial gate before stepping through with An Lin in one hand and Xue Zhantian in the other.
…
The White Jade Mountain lay amid a series of pristine, white mountain ranges; the surface of which was covered in a layer of white jade.
The white jade glowed with a faint light under the light of the stars, giving the peaceful environment a sense of majesty.
A black rift split open in the air, and a woman with a pair of long, sexy legs walked out carrying Xue Zhantian and An Lin in her hands, who were both frothing at the mouth and suffering from intense nausea.
“How did you guys become like this in just an hour?” Cassidy asked with exasperation.
An Lin massaged his brows as he complained, “How can you blame us when it’s clearly your shoddy spatial manipulation skills that made us like this?”
“That’s right! Real men should forge on directly ahead! Instead, you’re constantly making changes in directions and coming to jarring halts in between disconcerting accelerations… I felt like I was on a rollercoaster the entire time!” Xue Zhantian sprawled over An Lin’s head with a feeble expression.
Cassidy rolled her eyes. “Do you hillbillies think crossing through space through one’s individual power is the same as using a teleportation spell formation? There are more factors that have to be taken into consideration than you can imagine.”
She couldn’t be bothered to reply further. Instead, she looked around the area before releasing her divine sense with all her might.
She had to find more golden Realm Essence Crystals to exchange for that delectable blood!
Suddenly, as she turned to a certain direction, her expression faltered before a seductive smile surfaced on her face.
An Lin immediately inquired about her discovery, “What is it?”
Cassidy pointed in a certain direction with a mysterious smile on her face. “I discovered the presence of fellow Blood Tribe cultivators in that direction.”
An Lin immediately understood what she was getting at.
He nodded in response. “Let’s go have a look!”
He donned his Illusionary Star Robe and hugged Xue Zhantian in his arms as he followed behind Cassidy.
Cassidy also used a concealment spell technique before flying in the direction she had previously pointed to.
As they got closer and closer, An Lin discovered an extremely peculiar terrain in the distance.
Amid all the mountains covered in white jade, there was one that was thicker at the top and thinner at the bottom. There wasn’t a marked difference between the top and bottom, however, and it appeared like a thick, cylindrical pillar from afar.
This pillar-like mountain glowed with a faint golden light, which immediately piqued his interest.
It was quite clear that this was a special place.
There were five human-shaped jade statues of about a hundred feet tall situated in a circular formation at the top of the cylindrical mountain. There was no sign of life emanating from the structures, but they still gave him a sense of extreme danger.
An Lin turned his eyes upon the surroundings of the cylindrical mountain to find three figures standing in a triangular formation.
He took a look at these three beings to discover that one of them was a handsome man with short golden hair and a slightly thin and lanky body.
This man had a pair of crimson eyes and was clearly a Return to Void Stage mighty figure from the Blood Tribe.
There was also a man with average looks and a dragon horn growing on his head, as well as a white fan in his hands. That was most likely a Return to Void Stage mighty figure from the Dragon Court of the Eastern Seas, so this was an ally of An Lin.
Lastly, there was a shark of about thirty feet in length whose whole body was suspended in a ball of water. The shark had a pair of black wings on its back and its ventral fins had already evolved to become a pair of black claws. It held a blue bead in its claw, while a black liquid revolved around his other claw. This was most likely a West Sea sea monster.
Thus, all three of them represented different powers, and they all appeared to be antagonistic toward one another… thus creating a triangular impasse that was actually relatively stable.
“Hehe…”
A smug smile suddenly appeared on An Lin’s face.
This triangular impasse was about to be blown apart by his arrival…
