Chapter 632: Creations Born From Imagination

Antagonists?

An Lin stared blankly at Tina before coming to the realization that she was the God of Creation in this world, and she could do whatever she wanted, so it wasn’t really too far-fetched for her to create some antagonists in her world.

“What kind of antagonists are you planning to create?” An Lin couldn’t help but ask.

“Hmm… I don’t know yet. I still can’t create any highly intelligent lifeforms.” Tina tapped her chin with a slim finger while being in deep thought. After a moment, she asked, “But I can create some dumb but powerful brutes using the resources from this world. Do you have any ideas?”

An Lin was quite excited to be able to join in on this thought process, and he began to ponder the issue as well. He thought to himself for a moment before replying, “As antagonists, there must be an origin, a back story, and a motive for them.”

“That’s easy. As for the origin, I’ll set up a gate from hell in the northern part of this world, from which the antagonistic monsters would emerge into this world. The nine tribes would have to combine forces and seal the gate to secure victory and save the world.” Tina smiled.

“As for their back story and motive…” Tina fell silent for a moment while being in deep thought.

She considered the issue carefully before making a suggestion, “How about we say that their world is about to be destroyed so that they can only come here and try to conquer this world?”

“No, things like world domination are way too overused and cliched. Plus, it’s really bad for the environment too.” An Lin shook his head in response.

“We should make the antagonistic hunters a type of highly intelligent lifeforms. They’ll be an alien tribe that can absorb the power of highly intelligent lifeforms in order to enhance their own power.

“They come from outer space, and their sole objective is to eat all the highly intelligent lifeforms of this world in order to strengthen themselves.

“As they only feast on highly intelligent lifeforms, they won’t bring further carnage to the dinosaurs, and there’s no reason for them to damage the environment either. How’s that?”

Tina nodded in approval as she raised her thumbs. “That’s great! We’ll do exactly as you say!”

An Lin was starting to get quite excited as his thoughts and ideas began to flow. “As for their name, we’ll name all of them Spirit-Engulfing Beasts! We’ll set their base power level at around fifth-stage Dao Body, but the most powerful ones shouldn’t exceed Spirit Nurturing Intermediate Stage. The amount their power increases by will depend on the power possessed by the highly intelligent lifeforms that they consume. We have to think carefully about the extent of their reproductive abilities, lest they pose too severe a threat to the nine tribes… As for their looks, they’re the antagonists, so it would be best to make them black in color. It would also be appropriate for them to have claws and gaping, cavernous mouths as well as dark spell techniques to seal the deal…”

Tina continued to nod along to each and every one of An Lin’s ideas.

It was fine as long as Master was happy. She was the God of Creation in this world anyway, so she could continue making other antagonistic species if she weren’t happy with this one. The Spirit-Engulfing Beasts could just act as her lab rats.

Soon, at the northernmost tip of Tina’s world.

Boom!

The earth began to tremble violently as a massive black gate over a thousand feet tall materialized in this world.

An evil aura proliferated outward from within as the ground within a radius of over ten thousand feet was reduced to bleak, desolate soil as all the vitality was sucked away in an instant. Right on the heels of this, a bunch of pitch-black monsters in all shapes of forms came rushing out from the gate.

“Roar…”

“Howl!”

“Baaaah!”

“I want to eat… I want to eat those smart brains!”

“Let’s go! I heard there are brains to eat in the south.”

Over ten thousand of these pitch-black monsters charged out in a relentless wave from the gate of hell as they continued southbound, exemplifying the antagonistic force they had been designed to resemble.

On top of that, they were even capable of basic speech and communication! This was the result of Tina raising their intelligence to the very limit.

Thus, the Spirit-Engulfing Beasts entered this world!

“Phew… Giant An Lin, I’m so tired. I think I’m going to need to rest for a little bit.” Tina wrapped her arms around An Lin’s arm and laid her head down onto his shoulder as she sighed in a feeble voice.

These creatures had been created from Tina’s imagination alone, so they naturally expended a lot of her energy. Furthermore, she had accelerated the flow of time for so long, so she was naturally quite exhausted.

An Lin turned to look at the exquisitely beautiful woman leaning on his shoulder as he heaved a sigh of emotion. So, even gods suffered from exhaustion sometimes!

An Lin was not dissatisfied in any way by Tina’s show of vulnerability. Instead, this gave her a more realistic portrayal in An Lin’s eyes.

“Then, let’s go back to rest,” An Lin proposed with a smile.

“Alright, Giant An Lin!” Tina was waiting for that exact sentence from An Lin.

She waved her hand, and the two of them disappeared from this world.

An Lin opened his eyes and was greeted by the sight of his familiar bedroom.

Tina yawned before swallowing a Blood Spirit Pill. “Don’t use food to tempt me this time. Let me sleep to my heart’s content.”

She lay down on An Lin’s pillow as she spoke and drew the blankets over her body before falling sound asleep.

An Lin wasn’t really tired, so he decided not to sleep for now. His top priority was to find Xiao Hong and ask her how long he had been away for.

“Xiao Hong, Xiao Hong, stop singing. tell me how long I’ve been away this time,” An Lin asked as he held one of Xiao Hong’s red petals between his fingertips.

Xiao Hong was extremely displeased at being disrupted while she was singing, and so, she snapped in an angry voice, “It has been seven days!”

An Lin nodded before a thought suddenly occurred to him. “Oh, sh*t!”

An Lin immediately released Xiao Hong’s flower petal as he recalled that this was the day his end-of-term examinations were going to start. This was not an opportunity he could miss as his underlings were still waiting for him in the Dark Marshlands.

An Lin immediately pulled out his voice transmission talisman and broadcasted a message to his beast pets and disciple, “I’m going to the Dark Marshlands to fight the Blood Tribe. Put your names forward as soon as possible if you want to come with me. I’ll give you all ten minutes time to think!”

“Dark Marshlands? It has been a long time since I traveled anyway, I want to go, woof!” Da Bai replied almost instantaneously.

This is true love!

An Lin was greatly elated.

“I don’t want to come. I heard there’s very little sunlight there and that the whole place stinks!” Xiao Hong turned down his offer as she shook her red, flowery head.

An Lin wasn’t expecting her to come anyway, so he felt no emotions toward her response.

“Master, are you finally going to begin your conquest of the world? It’s just a pity that I’ve reached a critical juncture in my training of Xue Zhantian, and he’s about to make a breakthrough, so I won’t be able to make it…” The White Scale Wolf God sighed with disappointment.

“Master, take me along with you next time when my fur is as sharp as a blade!” Xue Zhantian chimed in.

An Lin: “…”

It looked like those two weren’t going to be able to make it.

“Master, I want to go!” Xiao Ze said in an excited voice.

“Big Brother An, I haven’t exercised for a long time, so I’ll come as well!” Xiao Chou said.

Thus, the roster had been settled. Da Bai, Xiao Ze, Xiao Chou, and Tina.

Tina hadn’t said anything, but silence meant tacit approval in An Lin’s books!

A pleased smile appeared on An Lin’s face. This was quite a formidable team.

He said into the voice transmission talisman again, “Alright, get home as soon as you can and we’ll set off for the Dark Marshlands together!”
