Chapter 707: The Real Realm of the Fallen Phoenix

All the Green Wood Imperial Family cultivators were dumbstruck. They knew that Su Qianyun was quite close to An Lin and his group, but never would they have thought that she would be a member of the Four Nine Immortal Sect!

Couldn’t she see that the Four Nine Immortal Sect had snatched away their egg?

What was she trying to do by clarifying her allegiance at a time like this?!

Su Wenjun slapped his forehead with a light sigh. “Sigh, it’s not entirely a bad thing that Princess Yun Le is a member of this Four Nine Immortal Sect, but she really should consider the potential effects of her actions…”

At this moment, an extremely handsome man waved his hand at An Lin as he let loose an excited yell, “Brother-in-law! Brother-in-law! I’m Su Xin! Do you remember me? I’m Su Qianyun’s brother!”

Su Wenjun almost threw up a mouthful of blood upon seeing this.

An Lin turned his head to discover a slightly familiar man.

Ohhh, it’s him!

This was the brother-in-law who had begged him to pursue Su Qianyun…

Ptui! Brother-in-law, my a*s!

“Is the Four Nine Immortal Sect still recruiting members? I want to join too!” Su Xin continued to wave his hands in the air with excitement on his face.

All the Green Wood Imperial Family cultivators’ bodies swayed as they turned to Su Xin with shocked expressions.

Su Wenjun also drew a sharp intake of breath. “Prince, please be careful with your words.”

An Lin also faltered momentarily before replying, “Recruitment has closed! We’ll talk about this at another time!”

At this moment, Da Bai had already arrived by An Lin’s side with the golden egg clasped between his teeth.

An Lin took the egg and began to size it up.

The golden egg was oval in shape and had a circumference of about twenty meters, so he could easily hold it in his two hands.

The egg was so small, so the baby within presumably wasn’t going to be very powerful either.

However, the life-force energy flowing from the egg was extremely fearsome, as if some sort of ancient legendary ferocious beast was being nurtured within.

He tried to put his egg away into his storage ring, only to find that he was unable to do so.

That made sense. Storage rings weren’t able to house highly intelligent lifeforms.

Among his remaining fifty spirit tools, An Lin pulled out an intermediate-rank spirit tool, the White Fox Divine Box, which had nurturing and protective powers. To put it more simply, this was a very good quality backpack!

It could nurture a baby and simultaneously protect it from attacks!

Thus, he placed the golden egg into his White Fox Divine Box and slung the box across his back like a backpack.

“Alright, let’s go back, everyone!” An Lin rallied his troops in an elated voice.

Their trip here had not only earned him a magnificent treasure, but it had also spread the name of his sect far and wide, thereby effectively killing two birds with one stone.

However, just when they were about to leave, boundless golden light and fearsomely scorching temperatures suddenly burst forth from within the White Fox Divine Box on his back alongside a bout of violent trembling.

“Holy f*ck! Is it going to explode?” An Lin exclaimed in shock and horror.

The egg looked like it was going to detonate, and he didn’t know whether he should get rid of it or not.

Tina’s expression shifted, and she immediately flew toward An Lin as dazzling white lights emanated from her hands. “Be careful, Giant An Lin, this is a spatial realm transference!”

Heaven and earth suddenly trembled again as an extremely fearsome spatial power burst forth from the golden egg.

An Lin’s pupils contracted, and he was suddenly struck by a bout of extreme dizziness as he descended into complete darkness…

Invisible spatial energy fluctuations instantly proliferated outward over fifty kilometers in radius, engulfing the several hundred cultivators on the scene.

In the next instant, all of them disappeared, leaving a severely ravaged battleground behind.

Deathly silence ensued, as if nothing had ever happened.

Crack…

A spatial crack suddenly appeared in the air.

Immediately afterward, a woman with a pair of sexy long legs clad in a suit of armor exited from the spatial crack before looking around at her surroundings.

“Huh? Where is everyone?” Confused, she pulled out her voice transmission talisman, but she was unable to connect to anyone.

“That’s weird, where is the imperial team?” The woman looked around with a perplexed expression.

She was General Long Kui. The emperor had deployed her here upon receiving Su Xin’s request for reinforcements.

Long Kui soon discovered a gate constructed from a white light not too far away.

“There it is; the entrance to the mystic realm.”

A slight smile appeared on her face as she made her way toward the gate of light.

Within a vast expanse of darkness, An Lin regained consciousness and abruptly sat up.

When he opened his eyes, he found that the sky above was a little piercing to look at.

He then raised his head as his mouth gaped open in shock!

“The… the sky is burning?”

That’s right! The entire sky above had been set alight!

However, what was strange about it was that all the flames in the sky converged to form a series of massive, identical images.

This was an adorable round face upon which was etched a proud smile and a pair of red cheeks, which gave one a sense of infinite warmth. There was also a pair of joyful eyes under light, elegant brows.

What the f*ck?!

An Lin was dumbstruck. He felt like he was being surveyed by countless doll faces in the sky!

“An illusion! This must be an illusion!” An Lin muttered as he pulled out his Realm-Piercing Nail and withdrew his body of the War God before stabbing the nail down toward his hand!

Splat!

Blood flew through the air.

“Gasp… that hurt!”

An Lin grimaced in pain.

This was too f*cking realistic to be an illusionary realm!

An Lin stood up, and his lips twitched as he looked up at the countless floating faces in the sky. He felt like either he had gone mad, or this world had gone mad.

With great difficulty, he finally managed to shift his gaze away from the sky. As he looked around at his surroundings, he found that he was currently situated within a valley.

Vital energy was very rich here, and a small river flowed nearby with pleasant flora growing alongside the riverbank. The faint scents of flowers wafted through the air, and this was quite a lovely place overall.

“Where the hell is this? Is this a certain mystic realm?” An Lin was dumbstruck. Tina mentioned something about spatial realm transference right before he fainted, but even so, he had no idea where he was!

A thought suddenly occurred to him, and he immediately grabbed the White Fox Divine Box slung on his back.

He opened the box, and when he saw the golden egg sitting silently within, he heaved a light sigh of relief.

Phew, thank God the egg is still there.

An Lin took a deep breath before rising into the air.

He had to figure out what this world was like!

After rising into the air, he was greeted by the sight of a magnificent view.

In the east was a cluster of elegant mountains, the west was a vast expanse of plateaus and deserts, the south was comprised entirely of crimson earth, and an extremely tall mountain, which pierced into the cloud, lay in the north.

“What a big place…” An Lin looked around in shock at the world around him, of which there was no end in sight.

He turned his attention below to find that the valley underneath was a component of a gargantuan image.

Many more valleys like the one he had just found himself in led to one another, creating an interconnected network of valleys that constructed the image of a gigantic phoenix a few dozen kilometers in size. An ancient, powerful aura swept toward him from the gargantuan image, giving him a sense of asphyxiation.

“Who could have crafted such a gigantic image? And what does this image of phoenix entail?” An Lin’s brows furrowed as he muttered to himself.

A thought suddenly occurred to him, and an astonished expression flashed across his features. “Could it be that this is the real Realm of the Fallen Phoenix?”
