Chapter 711: The Ever Reliable An Lin

An Lin looked at Da Bai, who was lying feebly on the ground, before turning to the elder underfoot with a thunderous killing intent in his eyes.

The elder with the dismembered arm was still howling in anguish while the elder underfoot was trembling from fear; he was too scared to even utter a single sound.

“You sounded pretty convincing just a minute ago! Why don’t you repeat what you just said?” An Lin asked in a cold voice as he glared at the elder underfoot.

“I… I was wrong. Please spare me, Senior…” The elder on the ground had lost all his spunk as he looked up at An Lin with shock and horror on his face while his body trembled uncontrollably.

“Three men bullying a dog, and you taking pride in doing so? Don’t you know that Da Bai is our sect’s mascot! Huh?” An Lin stepped down, and the Heavenly Demon Sect elder’s internal organs were instantly pulverized as a resounding crack reverberated through the air.

Da Bai: “… When did I become the sect mascot? Woof!”

“You sure have a lot of nerve beating up my friend like this.” An Lin’s fingertips crackled with lightning as a killing intent seeped from his voice. He had clearly been completely enraged.

“You tell them, Big Brother An, woof!” Da Bai cheered him on from the sidelines.

An Lin glared at Da Bai. “Shush! I’m not done flexing yet!”

Da Bai: “…”

The elder on the ground suddenly opened his mouth. Within his mouth, a fearsome power was accumulating.

Boom!

A bolt of Golden Void Lightning instantly flashed through the air before crashing into the elder’s body, instantly reducing him to a piece of oversized charcoal. Thus, the elder fell dead to the ground, immortalized as a cinder crisp with his mouth wide open.

Upon seeing this, Daoist Priest Dong Xu immediately fled into the distance.

An Lin chuckled coldly. “You want to run? Sorry, all those who messed with Da Bai must die!”

First technique, Wind Sword!

An Lin’s body instantly disappeared, and he appeared right behind Daoist Priest Dong Xu in the blink of an eye before lashing out with his Evil-Slaying Sword.

Another arm fell from the sky.

Daoist Priest Dong Xu howled in agony before turning to launch a black energy ball toward An Lin.

An Lin extended his left hand expressionlessly and slapped the powerful black energy ball into oblivion before launching another sword strike toward Daoist Priest Dong Xu.

Thus, Daoist Priest Dong Xu was reduced to an armless elderly man before being kicked into the ground, plummeting from over a kilometer in the air before tumbling beside the other elder with the severed arm.

There was simply far too much disparity between their power levels, and the Heavenly Demon Sect elders didn’t even have the power to retaliate.

An Lin descended at Da Bai’s side before stroking his soft fur and asking in a gentle voice, “How are you doing? You were shouting pretty excitedly just then, how come you can’t even stand up now?”

Da Bai was still lying within the crater with a feeble expression on his face. Each and every breath he took brought a pained grimace to his face as blood flowed from the corners of his lips. “Big Brother An, I can still hold on. Just finish off those two bastards for me! Woof!”

An Lin didn’t reply. Instead, he placed a hand on Da Bai’s back to assess his injuries.

His brows soon knitted together. Da Bai’s injuries had extended to even his skeletal structure and meridians. If he had arrived any later than he did, Da Bai would probably be beyond saving.

He immediately brought out a coffin before carefully picking up Da Bai from the ground. “Lie down in here.”

Da Bai’s expression faltered upon seeing the coffin as tears flowed from his eyes. “Big Brother An, I haven’t died yet! Why are you tossing me in a coffin? Woof!”

“I’m not trying to bury you. This is Blood Soul Jade Coffin, an immortal tool that can absorb life-force energy from the environment in order to recover the user’s injuries. Come on, be a good boy!” An Lin said as he placed Da Bai into the coffin.

“Don’t lie to me, Big Brother An, I don’t want to die young, woof!” Da Bai said with a nervous expression.

At this moment, Daoist Priest Dong Xu and the other elder fled in unison toward different directions.

An Lin chuckled lightly. “You think I can’t do anything if you escape in different directions?”

He extended both hands before gripping the air toward the two elders.

Spatial-congealment!

Crack…

A restrictive force akin to that of a spatial seal instantly locked each of the two men in place.

“Spatial manipulation? How could this be? This is something only Return to Void Stage mighty figures are capable of! How can you be capable of something like this?!” Daoist Priest Dong Xu roared in shock and horror.

The other elder with the severed arm turned pale with fright as his body trembled uncontrollably.

“Heh… this is just a way of manipulating the power of extreme frost. It was invented by the Purple Star civilization. You two pieces of trash won’t understand even if I tell you about it. Now get back here!” An Lin chuckled lightly before unleashing a pair of golden palms to bash the two of them into the ground.

The two of them were severely wounded again as blood gushed forth from their mouths. They were then plucked from the ground like a pair of turnips by An Lin.

“Da Bai, tell me, what do you want me to do with these two?”

An Lin clapped his hands together as a hint of mercilessness and ferocity glowed in his cold eyes.

A burst of excitement flashed across Da Bai’s big, round eyes.

An Lin was so gallant and reliable at this moment that Da Bai was caught in a daze as he looked at him. After a few seconds of dazed silence, he was finally able to formulate a sentence and said, “Big Brother An, you’re so cool!”

An Lin’s lips twitched. “Quit it with the useless flattery and tell me what to do with these two.”

Daoist Priest Dong Xu and the other elder immediately wept and begged for forgiveness from Da Bai in the hope of being spared.

Unfortunately for them, Da Bai was not some merciful, benevolent saint. He pointed his claws at the two elders before delivering his final verdict, “Big Brother An, give these two a*sholes a quick death! Woof!”

Boom!

The two elders of the Heavenly Demon Sect were instantly blasted into charred corpses by two bolts of Golden Void Lightning.

“Phew, it’s all over…” An Lin heaved a sigh of relief before turning to Da Bai with a smile on his face. “How are you doing? Feeling better?”

Da Bai lay down inside the Blood Soul Jade Coffin, and a red light flashed as the life-force energy in the surrounding environment was absorbed into his body.

“I feel much better, Big Brother An. You were so bad*ss just then, woof!” Da Bai yelled with excitement.

“Hehe, it wasn’t much, don’t make a big fuss.” An Lin waved his hand with a nonchalant expression. “After you recover, we’ll try and find the way out together. The golden egg on my back is too prominent a target and will most likely make us a lot of enemies.”

Da Bai nodded before swallowing a regenerative pill to further accelerate his recovery process.

The Blood Soul Jade Coffin lived up to its reputation of being a regenerative immortal tool as Da Bai was almost fully recovered after lying within the coffin for a short while.

“I’m fine now, Big Brother An. Let’s go! Woof!”

Having been reinvigorated, Da Bai stood up in the coffin, and his eyes glowed brightly as his aura further solidified the notion that he was fully recovered.

A joyful smile appeared on An Lin’s face upon seeing this. “Let’s go, Da Bai, we’re going to bash some people!”

“Aren’t we going to try and find a way out? Woof!”

“Yes, but we’ll bash the sh*t out of anyone from the Heavenly Demon Sect on the way!”

“Genius, woof!”

Thus, An Lin and Da Bai leaped onto the brick together as they flew toward the tall mountain in the distance.
