This man was the Demonic Blood Kirin?
An Lin, Xu Xiaolan, Ao Niu, the frog, and the groundhog were all dumbstruck upon hearing this.
The groundhog’s buck teeth chattered in shock and horror. “Didn’t the Demonic Blood Kirin die? Are… Are you a zombie?”
The middle-aged man turned to the groundhog with an amused smile. “Who told you that I died? Do I have to be dead just because others think that I’m dead?”
“Then the Kirin Blood Jade…” An Lin couldn’t help but inquire.
“Heh… The Kirin Blood Jade will indeed be born following the death of a Dao Integration Stage Kirin as that is the essence of the Kirin’s dao realm and power…” The middle-aged man turned to An Lin and asked, “You’re still thinking about the Kirin Blood Jade in your current dire situation?”
An Lin’s lips twitched upon hearing this. He actually only wanted to confirm the existence of the Kirin Blood Jade so that he wouldn’t feel like a stupid c*nt fighting for nothing.
Gluttony came to the middle-aged man’s side, and it stared at the groundhog with drool rolling from its mouth. “It smells so good… Blood Lord, can I eat it?”
The groundhog was scared sh*tless upon hearing this. After being roasted by Xu Xiaolan’s holy flames and An Lin’s Sea of Divine Flames, it did indeed smell like roast meat.
Having been trapped by the sea of blood, there was no way it could escape from the powerful foodie, Gluttony. Its heart had plunged into complete despair, and it was already envisioning the gruesome scenes of itself being torn into pieces before being swallowed by Gluttony.
An Lin’s nose wrinkled slightly as he too caught a whiff of the roast groundhog. Some of its body parts were already almost cooked.
As a professional foodie who had eaten all types of groundhogs, he could tell that this groundhog would be a top-tier ingredient…
The golden groundhog was in complete despair, but the words spoken by the middle-aged man reignited the hope in its heart.
“This groundhog has a decent aptitude. My Lust died and will require some time for resurrection, so I’ll use this groundhog in its place for now,” the middle-aged man said in an indifferent manner.
The groundhog almost shed tears of joy upon hearing this.
This Demonic Blood Kirin really did have an eye for talent! He could see its brilliant aptitude and knew that it would be useful.
Although being praised by one’s enemy wasn’t something to boast about, it still heaved a sigh of relief. After all, this would prevent it from being torn into pieces by Gluttony before being eaten.
“Let’s get back on topic. I need you to help me with something, and this is something only you can do. If you succeed, I can agree to let you go, and I’ll let bygones be bygones,” the middle-aged man proposed with a smile.
“What do you need us to do?” An Lin asked cautiously.
“Help me open up a passageway between the two worlds. I have to get out of here,” the middle-aged man instructed.
“Passageway between the two worlds?” Xu Xiaolan was confused and asked, “Isn’t that where the yellow star is? What do you need us to do?”
“Hmph! Both of these are special stars, so how could there be an exit on the yellow star but none on my blood star?” The middle-aged man harrumphed coldly.
Xu Xiaolan: “…”
An Lin’s mouth gaped open at just how unreasonable his words were.
It looked like Xu Xiaolan’s words had struck a nerve… What the hell was this logic? The yellow star had one, so there had to be one here as well?

“Do you know why you’re only aware of an exit in the direction the yellow star is located, but you don’t know about the exit here? That’s because all the beasts that have come here have died.” The middle-aged man raised his head to reveal a smug expression.
An Lin and Xu Xiaolan didn’t dare to say anything. Wasn’t it trying to be a reasonable, cultured person? Just how many beasts had it slain?!
“Let me tell you the truth. The reason why I can’t leave the Vast Land of Blood, oh, which is this floating continent, is that I would be killed by the eyes of Pangu if I was to leave here.” The middle-aged man lamented, “Hence, I can only leave through the passageway on this continent.”
“Pangu? The Pangu that created heaven and earth and the Tai Chu Continent?” An Lin’s eyes widened in shock.
“That’s right! That motherf*cker!” The middle-aged man looked up with hatred toward the sky.
An Lin and Xu Xiaolan were both shocked upon hearing this. So the eyes they had seen belonged to Pangu? My God! That was the most legendary figure in the entire Tai Chu Continent! Why would he appear here?
“Don’t be so shocked. That’s only the powers of laws that Pangu left here. He has left a long time ago and traveled to a very faraway place. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have a chance at freedom.”
The middle-aged man waved his hand as if he didn’t want to speak too much on this matter. “There is a passageway between the two worlds here as well, but it can’t allow creatures of my cultivation base through. Hence, I need your help to break all the restrictions on the passageway.”
“Are you sure we can do something that even you are incapable of?” An Lin was a little perplexed. No matter how much this middle-aged man’s power had been restricted, he was still more powerful than them, right?
“My pets and I can’t even get close to that passageway. As for those beasts that came as reinforcements, they’re all trash! None of them could endure the power of dark ice from the core of the passageway, and all of them froze to death after entering the passageway,” the middle-aged man explained with a disappointed expression.
Gasp…
Everyone drew a sharp intake of breath upon hearing this.
An Lin and Xu Xiaolan felt like they had fallen into a ditch.
The groundhog’s lips twitched uncontrollably. Reinforcement beasts? This middle-aged man appeared to have some sort of misunderstanding with regard to what the word reinforcement meant.
They were clearly here to try and secure the Kirin Blood Jade, only to be used as cannon fodder!
“Thankfully the gods have smiled down upon me and sent you two to me. Your cultivation base will allow you to enter the passageway, and you are the most powerful cultivators that I have ever seen at your cultivation base. You are my lucky stars!” The middle-aged man clapped his hands together as he surveyed An Lin and Xu Xiaolan with a gleeful expression. “If you had arrived any later, the passageway would have probably closed, and I would be unable to ever get out of this place.”
An Lin, Xu Xiaolan, and the three beasts all faltered upon hearing this.
“The passageway is going to close? Isn’t it going to be opened all the way, upon which this world is going to descend upon the Sinister Spirit Beast Cesspool?” the golden groundhog exclaimed.
“Hahahaha…”
The middle-aged burst out laughing as he turned toward the groundhog with a doting expression. “Do you believe everything everyone says? You are adorably stupid! I like it!”
The groundhog: “…”
“Pangu has left this place for too long, and this world has become unstable. Even the passageway between the two worlds has been opened, and the power of blood has escaped into the outside world to affect the living beings there.
“But that is going to be the extent of it. This small world’s self-repair mechanism has already been activated, and I don’t have much time left,” the middle-aged man continued.
He waved a hand, and the space around them transformed.
After a rush of dizziness, everyone appeared within the huge mushroom building.
The restrictive power vanished, and they regained their freedom, but none of them dared to make any rash moves. Instead, they all turned to look upward in unison with shock and befuddlement etched on their faces.
There was a piece of blood jade there that was releasing a soft glow.
