Chapter 14 - Stomachache

Lu Jiayan's unpredictable opening of his eyes startled Sheng Mingzhi, so much so that his mind went blank for a moment.

For a short while it was impossible to tell whether Lu Jiayan's pretending to sleep and lying to him was more reprehensible or whether the other man's slander and rumours that he was spying on him were more reprehensible.

After a three-second break in the film, Sheng Mingzhi's soul-sucking sanity finally returned.

At the same time, this little ancestor has finally caught the point he cares most about.

He.

Peeking at him?

Sheng Mingzhi Peeking at Lu Jiayan?

Does he have extra eyes that he doesn't want to donate? Peeking at Lu Jiayan? Aren't you afraid you'll get a needle's eye?

Sheng Mingzhi's anger barely had to simmer, it was ignited in a second.

Exasperated, he asked back, "I peeked at you?"

Lu Jiayan still has one eye open, looking at him with a wry look.

Shamelessly leaning back on the sofa, he nodded, "Well. But it's just the two of us here, so you don't have to stress about it again."

And stressed? And "eh"?

Sheng Mingzhi laughed in exasperation and nodded with a 'ha': "Yes. I'm looking at you. I'll see how thick your cheek is."

Lu Jiayan didn't get up after hearing this, but raised his eyebrows and said, "Why are you still scolding people? Do young people nowadays not like to hear the truth anymore?"

The word "young man" was emphasized by the emphasis he put on it.

The fleshly eye is vindictive and careful.

Very well, then I'll even hit someone, believe it or not.

Sheng Mingzhi spat out a harsh sentence in his mind, his eyes falling on his face, but he didn't say the words out loud.

The light diffuses over Lu Jiayan's body, giving him a soft glow.

Like a cozy cat, he unburdened himself from the outside world and seemed to reveal a side of himself that only Sheng Mingzhi could see.

Both bummer and annoying.

Like a hangdog dude.

I have to say that being good looking still has its advantages.

Sheng Mingzhi's anger subsided a little as he watched, but he suddenly realised that Lu Jiayan's behaviour was extremely childish; had he been pretending to sleep in the living room for half a day just to wait for himself to come and watch and then catch himself making a snide remark?

Even more breathless is the fact that Sheng Mingzhi found himself wasting twenty precious minutes of his life on his childish behaviour.

Don't bother with him.

The primary school chickens are more mature than him.

Sheng Mingzhi was not willing to waste time with him and was ready to turn around and leave.

Before he could turn around, Lu Jiayan suddenly stood up from the sofa.

The obvious height difference between the two resulted in Sheng Mingzhi being at a disadvantage for a split second.

He subconsciously took a step back under the opponent's extremely oppressive presence.

Lu Jiayan bent down slightly and leaned forward a little, his tone hiding a smile and some drunkenness: "I guessed the truth, so you're running away?"

Guess your mum.

Sheng Mingzhi expressionlessly curses with his eyes.

"Can you stop being so childish, please." Sheng Mingzhi's heart spat out, "Even primary school students are more mature than you."

Lu Jiayan seemed to react for a moment and gave a stifled laugh, "So I, when you complimented me on my youth?"

When he was done, he added in a particularly shameless and downright narcissistic way, "It's actually normal to want to kiss me, no need to feel ashamed."

He paused for a moment, as if scouring some internet vocabulary, "You just made the same mistake every man makes?"

......

......

Who threw this drunk out?

Sheng Mingzhi understood that Lu Jiayan was purely a drunken maniac who was making fun of him.

Just as he was about to tell him to get as far away as possible, Sheng Mingzhi suddenly caught a whiff of a woman's scent in the air.

He didn't use perfume often, and Lu Jiayan even less so, and the smell, which clearly didn't belong in the room, made Sheng Mingzhi freeze for a moment.

"What's that smell on you? Female scent?" Sheng Mingzhi's face instantly pulled half a crotch: " Lu Jiayan, before we got married did I tell you to put away whatever messy relationship you had?"

He sneered, "What, you've made the same mistake every man makes?"

It was probably because Sheng Mingzhi's face was so ugly that Lu Jiayan stopped trying to tease him and picked up the recorder from the coffee table.

Sheng Mingzhi was about to continue questioning him when he was caught off guard by a tape recorder and was confused for a few seconds.

Lu Jiayan opened his mouth, " Didn't you read the WeChat Yao Shen sent to you?"

Sheng Mingzhi :?

The next second, he looked at the recorder in his hand and suddenly realised something.

When you turn it on, you can hear the traffic flowing in and out, even the sound of rainstorms at night, interspersed with familiar road navigation, which corresponds to the WeChat address sent by Yao Shen.

Even the timing is right.

Lu Jiayan rubbed his brow and explained casually, "I sent a guest home tonight."

Oh.

So that's what Yao Shen meant when he posted the road conditions.

He thought it was Lu Jiayan who had gone crazy and harassed him.

Sheng Mingzhi was suddenly a little embarrassed when he realised what had happened.

But that's not his fault, who made their marriage so plastic? He also suspects Lu Jiayan because the other man is at fault.

In that case, Sheng Mingzhi did not bother to pursue the matter.

He turned to go upstairs, but his arm was suddenly grabbed by Lu Jiayan.

The other man raised his eyebrows, his peachy eyes unkind: "Not saying anything?"

Sheng Mingzhi, probably a little weak and much slower after being caught, replied nervously, "What?"

"Misunderstood me. No apology for me?"

"......"

Lu Jiayan's eyes lowered as she whispered, "I'm only here because of your words-"

Sheng Mingzhi suddenly thought of something and interrupted him suspiciously, "You haven't been sad all night again, have you?"

It's only been a few fucking minutes?

Who knew that the other party would nod brazenly, "Yes."

Sheng Mingzhi: ......

What the fuck are you crystal young boy glass heart?

That's it? That's it? Brother, can you stop pretending?

Sheng Mingzhi took two fingers and gently squeezed Lu Jiayan's wrist.

Then peel the other man's hand off his arm.

"Then you go on being sad."

"I'm such a person." Sheng Mingzhi put on a fake smile and fought to disgust Lu Jiayan: "I like to see people cry the most."

-

Lu Jiayan is crying or not, Sheng Mingzhi does not know.

Anyway, he went back to his room after a nice shower and then picked up his phone to swipe through Twitter.

The previously recorded variety shows have been released almost one by one.

After one episode, Sheng Mingzhi's face was brushed off in front of the audience and the buzz gradually rose.

It probably just went from being an eighteenth-string paste curse to a regular on-screen eighteenth-string paste curse.

Sheng Mingzhi's Weibo square is gradually buzzing with people who are basically attracted by his face, asking who this high-faced little brother is.

He swiped through the real-time square and found that Qiao Yan and Huo Yuzhe's cp fans hadn't come to be bitchy for a long time. It was as if they had been warned by someone and had stopped.

After a month of not playing against anyone, Sheng Mingzhi is still a bit of a loner.

After brushing up until he was a little hungry, Sheng Mingzhi looked at the time and saw that it was one o'clock at midnight.

When you click on a takeaway app, it's mostly just barbecue or something, not much of an appetite.

He rummaged around for half a day and finally ordered a bowl of seafood congee.

Sheng Mingzhi After placing the order, I remembered that there seemed to be some unfinished milk in the fridge near the centre island counter, so I put on a jacket and came down from the first floor.

Just as he reached the stairway, Sheng Mingzhi sensed something was wrong.

The living room, which used to be dark at dusk, is still dimly lit.

Like a wall light.

Only the road can be seen in general.

He has slight night blindness and moves with care when descending the stairs.

In a blurred vision, Sheng Mingzhi seems to see a person on the sofa.

Lu Jiayan ?

Haven't you gone to bed at this late hour?

At work?

No, he usually worked in the study, how could he be in the living room.

Sheng Mingzhi's head was full of questions, and then a terrible suspicion came to mind.

What the hell? Lu Jiayan isn't really crying in the living room, is he?

After all, he, he did seem, just now, to have gone quite far.

Sheng Mingzhi couldn't remember if Lu Jiayan was really that glassy-eyed, but for a moment, guilt overtook his emotions.

Coming down to get the milk was behind him and Sheng Mingzhi carefully groped his way over in the direction of the sofa.

He spoke a little uncertainly, his voice soft, " Brother Jiayan?"

Hmm.

He only calls out to Brother Lu Jiayan when he is feeling weak.

It was like every time he was caught doing something bad as a child.

No response came from the sofa.

Sheng Mingzhi became increasingly puzzled and, with a bit of a shuffle in his step, inadvertently bumped the corner of the sofa.

The pain in his knee was so sharp, so numb and uncomfortable, that Sheng Mingzhi almost instantly collapsed onto the sofa.

He could see nothing, and in the darkness Sheng Mingzhi seemed to smash into a warm body before the other man seemed to come to his senses and make some movement.

Sheng Mingzhi's hands seem to be propped up against his heart and feel hard in his hands.

Lu Jiayan still sleeping on the sofa?

He panicked and stammered in fear: "Hey, Lu Jiayan!"

Just as he tried to get up, the other man muffled a grunt and Sheng Mingzhi felt an arm placed across his waist.

It hindered his big plans to get up.

The heartbeat fell heavily.

Sheng Mingzhi is briefly frozen for a moment.

What the hell? This old thing isn't taking advantage of him on purpose, is it?

Sheng Mingzhi narrowed his eyes and was about to curse under his breath, but paused the moment he saw Lu Jiayan's face.

The man lay on the sofa with long hands and feet that spread almost the entire length of the sofa.

The white shirt on his body was slightly wrinkled, as if the folds had been brought up when he had curled up, and Sheng Mingzhi noticed that the tie he was wearing today was the one he had picked out that day.

What's more, Lu Jiayan's face doesn't look good.

The original pale, cold face was now lightly frowning, and a fine sweat covered his forehead.

Sheng Mingzhi now realised that something was wrong and he hurriedly got up, crouched down on the edge of the sofa and nudged Lu Jiayan: " Brother Jiayan."

It was a long time before Lu Jiayan let out a "hmm", his voice thick with sleep, but still audibly uncomfortable.

Sheng Mingzhi hesitates: "Are you not feeling well somewhere?"

It was almost as if he asked a question and Lu Jiayan answered, and the other man said, "Nothing."

You call this nothing?

Sheng Mingzhi was a little angry.

He wanted to say I'm not blind, what do you think I am, an idiot?

But when the words came out of my mouth, I couldn't bear to see how uncomfortable Lu Jiayan looked now: "What do you mean by nothing? Are you ashamed to say that you're sick because I'm mad at you?"

I'm actually quite angry at the internet, Sheng Mingzhi, and I'd like to comfort Lu Jiayan.

After all, not many argue better than me, so there's no shame in being mad at me and getting sick.

Who knows, this comment seems to have amused Lu Jiayan.

The man laughed out loud, but in a slightly broken tone, obviously suffering from pain.

"It's not good to make me sick with anger." Lu Jiayan laughed, "When I'm gone, you'll still be able to find it?"

Sheng Mingzhi: ......

Lu Jiayan looks at him with a smile and was going to continue to tease him a bit.

But he paused when he saw the look on Sheng Mingzhi's face, half-kneeling on the edge of the sofa, his expression serious and worried, the emotion in his eyes hidden, worried about him.

It had been many years since anyone had looked at him with such eyes when he was ill.

Strange.

Again, it was new to him and a little touching at the same time.

I didn't expect to be by his side when he was ill after all these years.

It turned out to be Sheng Mingzhi, a marriage partner with whom he seemed to have no affection at all.

"I didn't eat at lunch." Lu Jiayan's voice had his usual tone, and when he lowered his voice to speak, it gave the illusion of gentleness: "I had a drink with a client in the evening and my stomach got sick."

As Sheng Mingzhi listened, he suddenly realised that Lu Jiayan might not have meant to take advantage of him when he put his arm around his waist earlier.

He probably wanted to put his hand on his stomach.

Nor did he know that he was alone in

Not even having the strength to go upstairs, I even fell asleep on the sofa in a daze.

Sheng Mingzhi unconsciously grips the sofa cushions with mixed emotions.

"Don't worry."

Perhaps Sheng Mingzhi didn't reply for too long, and Lu Jiayan added a comment in a careless manner.

"Who's worried about you." Sheng Mingzhi muttered in retort, "I'm just afraid you'll die at home and I don't have an alibi."

A little embarrassed, he retorted sullenly, "And there's no one to buy me a car or a big villa after you're dead. Anyway, you can't die until I've bought enough."
