Chapter 9: A cruel end

"Holy shit, is the guy dead, no with his power of regeneration, it should keep him alive, a horrible way to go but he deserves it, although I can't say the same for the last brother he died instantly after being blown in half and rip to pieces."

Although Maxwell's body flew all the way to the other side of the river and landed on the river bank in the thick and gooey mud.

"Well, then I should take this opportunity, to complete the mission, his power is annoying but the only two way to kill an orc, it is either to destroy their body beyond what can be repaired, or behead them so their brain can't process the repair rate of their body, in which both ways they will die, the former been a slower and more painful route."

From there I began to jump off the Shaft tree I was on, as I gaze at the mess before me, one scattershot really did all this, and turn this scenery into some kind of gore fest.

 

"My God the scattershot is one powerful attack, if it did this much damage to the human body and the environment, although it left me a little tired, haa... now that I think about it im getting a little pale here, I guess this the effect of using your blood as bullets."

 

Yes, I was getting pale, so maybe I shouldn't fire another scattershot like that unless I have to, but my job here is almost complete, so without a doubt, I should probably take it easy, my life is probably a quarter way down already.

 

But as I reach, I gaze towards Maxwell's body, it was twitching so I smile reason to be he was alive and I could make him suffer more, so completing the mission was indeed possible seeing that life is present within him.

So from there, I grapple, to the other side using the same rocks that lead me to this side in the first place, and in a moment's notice, I was already before him.

He was badly damaged and I could tell that he was in serious pain, all his limbs were missing, and he had holes present on his chest and other parts of his body that are still attached.

His lower jaw was blown off, along with his tongue, his breathing was rigid, as both, his eyes were blown out, the outline of his skulls could be seen, even that was badly cracked allowing anyone to see his brain, I could only imagine the immense pain he was going through at this moment.

A piece of his ears was missing as well, as the blood fused with mud water beneath him creating a horrid stench that was not pleasing to the nose at all, I watch him doing slight groans, but they were soft pitch and sound like a dying record at its last.

I watch him trembling, as tears of either fear or regrets came from his eyes, honestly, I did not pity him, but this sight definitely thought me something.

Taking a life is as easy as breathing, or maybe that's just me, but I pray to whichever god is listening to me, that I don't end up like this, as I don't want to die in such a horrible way.

But I didn't have much to say apart from these words from me to him.

"So tell me how does it feel to be on the receiving end, you sick bastard?"

I ask in a soft voice, that only me and he could hear, but I didn't receive an answer, most likely because he got shot in the vocals, or injured it upon impact.

 

But I didn't need a response, as his silence was enough, I just want him to feel a slow and painful death for all the wrongs he has done, how many little girls' life has he ruined up to this point, I don't even want to imagine.

But after seeing him like this, I have figured out a way to make his life even more miserable, and his encounter with death even more painful than it is, so with that said I began speaking as such, as I was about to give him great detail of what was about to happen to him.

"Well, it doesn't matter, you're going to die here, I want you to feel a painful death for everything that you have done, but I want to emotionally destroy you as well, you can even say this is torture, seeing the condition your body is in."

"I would say you have about fifteen to twenty-five minutes of life left in you, and im sure quite a number of my curse bullets are breaking down that body healing factor to nothing, so don't depend on that, your fate is already set in stone you ugly bastard."

"And if you are wondering what I am going to do to you, then it's, simple, you can't move, you can't see, much less speak to me with your body that badly damaged, and since your power allows you to mirror an orc racial ability so perfectly, im going to toss you in the river, and sink you using my power, and since orc can't die of suffocation, you're going to feel both the pain and uncomfort that comes with it, usually your regeneration will stop working completely and put you out of your misery, but been drown alive on top of that, while feeling the pain your feeling while been next to me, won't make it easier, so I hope you made peace with your god, Maxwell because it's over for you."

I said these words as slowly and as antagonizing as possible, I want him to experience true despair and regret, I want the fear of death, pain, loss, and defeat to consume him, for everything he had done, a sinner like him has no right to live in this world.

At these words, I knew he was despairing deep on the inside because he tried to move in fear of his life, as his groan was dead but could still be heard slightly.

I didn't waste any more time from there, because it was time to finish this, so with that said, the shadows beneath me started to manifest as several chains all black started to emerge from the ground they wrap around Maxwell's body tightly locking in place to provide no escape for its victim.

With that said and done, I began looking around for an anchor, and in the end, I grappled over to one of the bigger rocks at the center of the river, of course, I had Maxwell still connect to the chains I created using my level one shadow skill.

So what I was going to do, is connect him to one of that smaller rocks that were heavy, and sink him to the bottom, from there I will sit here and wait for him to die.

And like that, I connect the chains to the giant spikey rocks in the river beside the waterfall, as I wrap his destroyed body around it very tightly, while even making a shadow lock on multiple spots so he could not escape, or if by some miracle someone tries to help him escape.

So after he was wrapped around firmly and tightly, I took Lillith and fired multiple shots at the bottom of the rock till it break, and like that the giant rock that had Maxwell wrap around it fell to the very bottom of the river, and it was too heavy for current to carry it away.

"Now then all I have to do is wait."

From there I place my hands behind my back, as I lie down on the rock at the center of the river, im sure Maxwell is going through excruciating pain right now, after all, suffocation is very painful.

But I didn't think about it, instead, I just wait there, completely unaware of the person watching me from the side, with a flustered face.

 

--19 minutes later--

 

I suddenly felt the weird sensation of something calling me waking me up from my nap, and when I look familiar words start to manifest in the air, as it said.

I said slightly satisfied with my actions, but as I said this, the system gave me yet another mission as it said while writing in the air.
