Chapter 19: My sister is a VTuber?

Waking up with still apparent darkness outside of the windows. I sat on my bed and stretched out a little.

Actually because yesterday I have fallen asleep pretty early. I woke up in the middle of the night. At that time, I just went on autopilot to the bathroom to brush my teeth and come back to my room shortly after.

Honestly, I had an idea to just chill in my bed with some novels to read this morning. I am a fan of reading too but I frankly never read any light novels. Although from my memories, they seem to be fun so I thought to give it a try.

But maybe because I am in a good mood today. I decided to do something different.

-50 minutes later-

Sitting in the kitchen and sipping my tea. Looking at Ariel that is practically drooling over food on the table and staring at me with puppy eyes.

My strong will was put to the test. I already give her dog food. Yet she didn't eat it and just keep staring at me from the beginning, I began preparing breakfast.

"I am not gonna give you anything. You already have food that is good for you. Human food is not good for you."

I said trying to explain. However, she just barked at me a couple of times. Probably telling me that is not the case.

"Hmph, whatever my will is unshakable you not gonna get anything. Don't you know that good dogs that eat their food, live longer?"

I said and no longer bothered to look at her.

Glancing at the table in front of me with one plate of pancakes, one with waffles, one with sausages, and the last one with fried eggs and boiled eggs. Adding a couple of cups of tea and coffee.

I am not sure if I didn't go overboard.

"What smells so nice?"

Suddenly the voice from the corridor woke me up, from my thoughts.

Entering the kitchen my dad looked with surprise at the already prepared food and then looked at me.

"Did you prepare that?"

"Mhm"

I just nodded my head.

"I didn't know what you all like. So I made a little bit of everything."

I added finishing my tea.

He looked at me surely having a hard time understanding, the fact that his daughter could cook something and not burn it in the process.

"Jeez, just eat. It is not poisoned."

I said a little annoyed passing him and leaving the kitchen.

"I will wake up the others"

I shouted behind me.

Seeing that Ariel was following me. Abruptly gave me an evil idea.

Going upstairs, I saw my mother.

"Hey, mom I will wake them up."

I said surprising her a little.

"Is that so? Thanks, sweetie."

Said, my mother, and smiled happily in my direction.

"You are up quite early today. Is that because you went quickly to sleep yesterday?"

When we come a little closer to each other she asked me with a bit of curiosity in her voice.

"Well, yeah I am quite used to sleeping early now."

I answered naturally.

"Yesterday, I made an Apple pie for you. But I didn't want to wake you up,

so I saved a big piece for you it's.."

"I know, I already ate it."

I answered with a little grin. If she didn't hide a piece for me, it could be pondered if something would be left, for me because of these gluttons.

"Okay, I am going to wake them up now"

"Yes sure go for it"

Said my mother and trotted to the bathroom.

Unhesitatingly opening the door to my brother's room. Looking at his still sleeping/drooling face, the first thing I did. Was to open the window.

"You need to ventilate your room little one. It's quite unexpected that you can still breathe with that smell in the air."

I said more to myself and placed Ariel on his bed. Backing a little to the door.

'She is gonna wake him up ' I thought with a big grin as she seems eager to say "hi" to him.

"Just a minute please mom"

He answered still half-asleep. Hiding inside his sheets. Trying to hide from her.

This however didn't last long because she found a passage to enter under his blanket.

"Ariel!"

He suddenly screamed.

Making me giggle madly in the process. 'I guess he is now awake' I thought and left his room silently.

Opposite his room. Is the room of my 17 years old sister. So I entered it too to wake her up.

'Bad timing' I thought when I saw that my sister was actually in the process of changing her underwear...

"Breakfast is all ready, so hurry up."

I said and left the room.

In times like this, I am really thankful that I am a girl.

That would be troublesome if I wasn't...

After this, I went to my room and read some novels.

-A couple of hours later-

'Well that's interesting '

I thought but stopped reading. If I don't stop now then I would continue reading it until nightfall, probably.

Even though I knew it. I still was quite shocked at how spicy some of these novels could be.

Maybe I shouldn't immediately go for the secret stash?

But I was quite curious. You can't read the stories like that in my original country. A love-hate relationship is quite an interesting thing, I have to say.

Overall my first experience reading yuri's novel was quite intense. Even though obviously, I can remember more of them because Kate always liked to read them. Doing that myself felt quite different.

Additionally to this even though I am not a teenager anymore. I couldn't help but be a little embarrassed. Because of the guilty pleasure. While reading this.

I keep having this feeling like I'm doing something wrong. But that is probably my old-word mentality affecting me.

Anyways it's enough for today. The air around me was becoming too hot.

When I was putting back my novel under the bed. Someone suddenly barged into my room.

"Kate, Kate!"

Hitting my head over one of the planks in the process because of the sudden fright.

"Wtf Timmy, I hit my head because of yours yelling."

I said massaging my skull.

"Sorry but I had to show it to you"

He said brimming with excitement showing me his phone.

'Is he going to show me some new game?' I thought. Nonetheless, as a good big sister, I thought to indulge him a little.

After a first couple of seconds, I took his phone to make sure I am seeing this correctly.

"Form where did you get this video?"

I asked with a bit of an apathetic voice.

He looked at me as if I am stupid and said.

"Do you not know, where were you streaming yesterday?

He continued.

"Anyways, you know? From the start, I was sure you will succeed. It was all according to the plan."

"There are a lot of simps that will watch you, just to hear your voice. But I didn't think you will do it with a cam. But now that you are healthy. I guess that is understandable."

He said trying to sound smart.

"I didn't stream anything. Do you understand?

I said this dead seriously.

Only now making him realize that something may be wrong.

"I don't understand. Don't you like games? and didn't you want to become an online streamer because you know..."

He said feeling a little lost.

Recollection:

" Because of my condition, I have a weak immune system. So working outside is you know... That is why I thought to start streaming some popular games, what do you think Timmy? " Said jokingly Kate 3 years ago.

I didn't know, he still remembers that...

"Yes of course, however, I didn't stream yesterday"

I said softening my tone.

"Isn't it you on the video? I am like 99 percent sure that is you"

He said with shining eyes.

"I mean, I was testing some app yesterday..."

I said thinking a little about it because it was undoubtedly me on the screen.

"Show me"

He instantly said.

I didn't have a problem with that. So, I show it to him.

-10 minutes after-

"I am saying to you, the interface looked a little different yesterday."

Besides this point the instruction tricked me. How could I know that was streaming software? If they didn't write about it.

The good thing is that at least. I was animated and I ended the stream shortly after. So my identity is safe.

"Well, that doesn't matter anyways. Does it? The result is good. But I have to say this new technology is pretty nice. People were very interested. It will be a shock for most of them when they got to know the truth. You have to use that to your advantage."

He said contemplatively.

"Yeah, so you can go now"

I said and chased out his smart-ass.

"Ah..I would almost forget. If you tell about it to anyone then...You know the information that you have in some specific "magazines" could be leaked to the dad."

I said and smiled dangerously.

He just looked at me with horror in his eyes, saying.

"Don't worry sis, I wouldn't tell anyone in the first place hahaha"

He laughed awkwardly and finally left my room.

"Sigh..what a mess"

Well for the first, let's remove a video.

What happened was unexpected. But thankfully it didn't cause a lot of damage. I just need to remove a video and everything will be fine.

Becoming a live streamer?

I didn't even think about it. It's just a childhood fantasy for me.

I am too old to believe in that.

Logging into my account, I hovered my cursor on the video. Actually, I have no idea how I started streaming even though I shouldn't have this possibility.

I was just to delete it.....

Already has a couple of million viewers. That's probably solely because it's the only video on the site.
