I Started As A Novel Villain - “I Did It Unconsciously”

I Started As A Novel Villain by Nakahara6-8 minutes

(Regarding the other novels, I will keep translating those as its a bit simpler and not that time consuming)

Ye Fei entered the private ward and noticed Mu Zijin resting calmly on the hospital bed.

She was still in a coma and hadn't recovered consciousness.

Her eyes were closed, her breathing was easy and natural, and she had a relaxing smile on her face.

Mu Zijin's long eyelashes are black and thick, and her smooth forehead and cheeks are as smooth as white jade, yet they are somewhat pale due to the injuries she received.

She lay gently on the hospital bed like an indisputable water lily.

Ye Fei unconsciously felt glad when he noticed her steady breathing, and when he looked at her body, her injuries did not appear to be severe.

After all, Mu Zijin and Ye Fei took several precautions before entering the building, including wearing bulletproof vests and other protective gear.

Although Mu Zijin's injuries were minor, Ye Fei sighed a sigh of relief after seeing her.

Then he strolled over to her bed, grabbed a chair and sat, while looking at Mu Zijin's slightly pale face.

"Has anyone gone to see her?" Ye Fei said, looking at Wen Xiaoting.

"Well, a few of Zijin's elders have come. Senior Mu was unable to be here due to walking difficulties." Wen Xiaoting responded directly.

Ye Fei gave a nod.

Mu Zijin is the family gem of the Mu’s, and once the elders learned that Mu Zijin had an accident, it is without a doubt that they’ll be angry.

Although the culprit, Wan Kun, was killed, the incident was not trivial since a mercenary who normally resides near the border is actually able to roam the streets of Yanjing freely without any sort of background check.

This time, Wan Kun's incident involved a large number of people and it was expected that the entire city would be in uproar for some time.

With that in mind, Ye Fei checked his phone; there were multiple notifications, most notably several phone calls from his parents.

Ye Fei used the time to call his wealthy parents back, then turned to Mu Zijin, who was still in a coma, and whispered to Wen Xiaoting, "You are exhausted as well, rest first, and I'll stay here guarding instead."

"I appreciate it." Wen Xiaoting likewise didn't object. In truth, her heart has been tense, and if she remained awake for a few more minutes, she would collapse from worry and strain.

If Ye Fei and Mu Zijin hadn't saved her, she would have been in a far worse predicament, and it would have been far too risky.

"Ye Fei, really thank you this time!,” remarked Wen Xiaoting, her eyes filled with sincere appreciation."

This is a miraculous grace.

"It's not only my effort," Ye Fei said with a smile. “In fact, the most important thing to remember is that Zijin was the one who saved you. So please do not thank me. But for the time being, go rest."

"All right, then I'll go." Wen Xiaoting murmured quietly, then opened the door and stepped outside.

In the private ward, only Ye Fei and Mu Zijin remain.

Ye Fei was waiting for Mu Zijin to wake up; while her injuries were minor, she was still sleeping on the bed and showed no indications of waking up.

However, he noticed Mu Zijin making small movements around 10 minutes later.

As she moved slightly, she opened her eyes, and Ye Fei was mirrored in her clear  stream eyes, and Mu Zijin's face turned a faint pink as she faced his passionate gaze.

"You are awake." Ye Fei said.

Mu Zijin wanted to stand up and talk to Ye Fei, but she felt pain in her waist and abdomen, and she seemed to be wearing some type of white garment around her body, frowning slightly, her brows arched, and her expression suggested that she was in agony.

"According to the doctor, you fractured several of your bones and hurt yourself. You should remain still and not move any time soon," Ye Fei advised Mu Zijin.

Mu Zijin only noticed the different bruises on her body after hearing Ye Fei's words. She extended her arms slightly before focusing her sparkling eyes on Ye Fei and remaining stiff.

Staring at him, her voice was very gentle, "How are you feeling?.”

Ye Fei smiled and said, "I'm fine, I only have a slight injury. It’s because of you that I was able to survive.”

Recalling that memory, Ye Fei's heart was full of strangeness.

He and Mu Zijin had a layer between each other, and had never moved from that state.

There was always a strong bond between the two, stronger than that of most friends, but it did not mean that they were lovers.

However, after the Wan Kun incident, the feelings for each other began to steadily develop.

It was only a qualitative shift.

Especially at the most critical moment, Mu Zijin did not retreat by herself, but instead grabbed Ye Fei.

Ye Fei's expression softened as he stared at Mu Zijin.

Her lovely eyes twinkled with passion as she averted her head slightly in embarrassment before muttering softly, "I felt my thoughts go blank. I did it unconsciously."

Although this sentence was simple and straightforward, the tone was filled with sincere emotions.

Mu Zijin is such a character; she speaks whatever comes to mind.

Her intuitive reaction simply demonstrates that Ye Fei had begun to occupy her heart.

Although Mu Zijin has always been indifferent to everybody, just a few people could hold a special place in her heart.

But Ye Fei understood that, regardless of Mu Zijin's apathetic attitude toward everyone, she would give her all to those closest to her.

Wen Xiaoting, for example, is Mu Zijin's dearest friend, and she risked her life to fight Wan Kun for her.

Similarly, at the brink of a life or death situation, she kept pulling Ye Fei, putting herself in grave risk.

The weight of these words was enormous, and Ye Fei felt indescribable as a smile bloomed on his face.

Mu Zijin's feelings were immediately revealed, and Ye Fei was saddened to see her condition.

Then she sat up with Ye Fei's help, and despite her many injuries, her physical fitness was excellent.

Thanks to the bulletproof vests and protective gear, she didn’t have serious injuries or scars.

Ye Fei embraced Mu Zijin in his arms as he supported her.

He only felt Mu Zijin's body stiffen in his arms, and then her cheeks grew ruddy red, and despite the fact that Mu Zijin never uses makeup, he saw Mu Zijin as if she had applied a faint red blush over her cheeks.

Her eyes glistened like water, indescribably beautiful and vibrant.

With a strong appearance, that exquisite and incomparable face is as attractive as a peach and plum.

Just then, a prompt sound of the system rang in Ye Fei's ear.
